I like American Traveler, everything discussed about the job and work site are on point. American Traveler has allowed me to make a smooth transition to work for them. The pay is good and they are punctual with it. Nothing like the job that I came from, everything is 100% better. It's my dream come true. I am not nervous like I was working at my old job: American Traveler is so great until it allows me to concentrate more on my job than concentrating on politics of the corporation. I am pleased with working for American Traveler. My entire support team from beginning to end has be super great and super professional as well.
The compliance dept representative was extremely rude and aggressive. While on vacation they would call, leave voicemails and text along with my recruiter (Amy Roll) numerous times a day always asking for something different. I had advised them the week before that I would be out of the state and needed to have everything wrapped up by the end of that week before my vacation started but since they were out on a holiday that friday, they waited until the next week to try and wrap things up. During my assignment I reached out to my recruiter regarding an issue with a patient ratio double what their policy was (it is adolescent behavioral health facility). My recruiter and the office manager advised to me talk to the supervisor and figure it out on my own. I reached back out to my recruiter again after 2 weeks and did not receive a response. As my first travel assignment, this was the worst experience. I was not sure if traveling was for me so I reached out on social media to see if this behavior was typical and was advised it is not. I am now with a new agency and I LOVE it and my recruiter. If you are searching for an agency and especially if you are a new traveler, go with someone else.
American traveler has made it possible for me to fulfill my dream of becoming a travel nurse. My recruiter, Gabriel, is fantastic! He paves the way for a great travel experience so, I get terrific assignments in places I want to visit. I've been paired with awesome facilities with great support, making new friends and gaining more experience everyday. Awesome job!
Recruiter is very professional and fast acting. Doesn t waste any time finding your next assignment and is always on top of everything. Housing and payroll is very proficient and friendly. Housing has always exceeded expectations and payroll is quick to provide feedback and correct error if any. Human Resources is quick to stay on top of current documents needed per facility and makes sure nothing expires. Recruiter is distinguished on communication and feedback. Company is highly recommended due to professionalism, timeliness, communication and friendliness.
This is my first assignment with American Traveler and it has been one of my best travel experience. My daughter and I travel together and we are both satisfied with our experiences so far.
