Absolutely do NOT waste your time donating blood to this organization. The mobile drives have the slowest staff ever imaginable. The staff is sitting around, looking at phones, or shuffling stuff no sense of urgency or work ethic, at all. They do not respect appointments. Its first come first serve and they processed one person per 15 min. Add that wait time to the normal 45 min donation time. They claim to make things faster by having a Rapid Pass system to collect the data in advance but at the drive I attended they informed me that the rapid pass was not working. Do yourself a favor and give blood to Vitalant.
a little on the older fashion eqipment but it works so why not,
staff was a bit dry but efficient
Instructor did not show up to the CPR/AED class. Nobody was in the building except for the blood donation people who had no idea about anything. Do not show up here on the weekends it is just a waste of time.
Besides the good work they do, the ArcSQUARED Radio Club meets there for emergency operations training.
Worst experience donating. Booked an appointment online only to find out it did not forward to donation site. I waited only to find out I had to leave. I wasted over an hour. Vitalant is a better, more organized, more professional organization than Red Cross. I would never go back. She did not even apologize.
I went to donate blood there on tuesday july 24th 2018, my appointment was at 7:30. I work night shift 7p-7a so this was my day off. I rearranged my schedule to be able to donate as I am a regular donor and the latest donor time slot is 7:30. However, when arriving at 7:30pm the door was closed and locked. I knocked for a few minutes waiting for someone to let me in. I heard people moving and rustling around. After a few minutes a man came from the elevator to pick up the donated blood, he looked into the window right next to me and a nurse or a phlebotomist (not sure of her title) came to the door (she was a tall, heavy set, african american woman). She let him in and I proceeded to tell her that I had an appointment at 7:30 to donate blood. She looked down at her watch said that they only give a 5 minute grace period and that it was 7:36. I told her that I had been there earlier than 7:35 and no one was answering. Her reply was no you wasnt and she closed the door in my face. Red cross solicites me everyday to donate blood. I donate regularly about 4-5x a year, I dont appreciate the treatment I got from this lady. She was rude obnoxious and based on how she treated me lazy.
Wonderful place peaceful to serve others in Fairfield
Greeters were pleasant but head "nurse" seems to be high strung and panicky over who has appointments or not. Here for a cause, could at least be a little more personable and act like she's happy to be here.
We've been using the facility for more than 10 years for our monthly meetings for our members Professional Association. They are lovely and kind and the facility is beautiful.
Very fast I was on and out. A must for all people to donate. There is A very much need for more donors. You get a good feeling because you can be saving a life.
Just make sure you schedule your visit, otherwise you might find a locked door.
Go in through the back, sign in, and go to the third floor. Staff is very experienced, never had a problem.
I took a class there a few weeks ago. Everyone was super friendly including the instructors!
This location has comfortable lounge chairs instead of the customary flat tables. Friendly staff. Ample parking.
Red Cross volunteers are the best, most caring, dedicated helpful people you can ever meet!
I'll always support The Red Cross but I don't love this location
Amazing people, benevolent acts of kindness, I joined them.
Comfortable space to donate blood and I'm also a volunteer!
Came here for my Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED & First Aid Training. Very relaxed atmosphere with a kind and helpful teacher named Linda. Highly recommended!
I went to renew my CPR certification. I was an instructor working out this chapter for years and have been recertifying with them through the last three locations of the chapter.
give life as often as you can - if you can. I recommend this facility over any other in the area - faster service than drives in Montclair, which can get overwhelmed.
I volunteered for 6months in this arc as a caseworker n dat, so Fairfield office was my local chapter. Great service provided by them n great friendly staff n volunteers. They provide courses like first-aid etc. Plenty of place to park the vehicle.
The employees are nice and considerate. Very clean. I appreciate their work and what they do to help others.
