Greetings, I was a seasonal and held a great position and during the pandemic of Co-Vid 19 I work as a Production Associate and enjoy to decorade garlands and wreath s for the holidays it is really help and inspire me in life I am thankful for this great wonderful experience at American Christmas !.
This would be a GREAT place to work if it weren t for the blatant discrimination that is prevalent at this establishment. While racial epithets aren t verbally spewed, differences in outcomes (such as earnings and job placement i.e. promotions and some hirings) are based on ethnicity and not qualifications or skills. This is prevalent in the lower echelon of the company which is the Production Department and Logistics Department which are predominantly minorities. I was a Seasonal Logistics employee. I even became a team leader and was given a minuscule raise for my great work ethic and outstanding performance. However, after the season ended, when it came time to be considered for a full time position I was overlooked, along with 3 or 4 more other candidates who were qualified and who did their job exceptionally well. They gave the full time position to a Russian who has NO warehouse experience, NO qualifications, in this country for 6 only months and can barely speak english. They are even paying him more than the regular Logistics employees!! Why hire someone new for a full time position when you have 4 or 5 candidates who already know the warehouse, are qualified, and knows the procedures only to have to train someone new? Who does the hiring? Another Russian! Also, the Logistics Department has 3 competent Logistics Managers who are great at what they do and were instrumental in aiding my development during the season. They also were overlooked for a Logistics Director position. Instead of promoting one of their 3 Logistics Managers (all minorities) who KNOWS the warehouse and can manage, they hired another Russian with NO warehouse experience to run and manage the warehouse. How can someone who never worked in a warehouse, or know any warehouse procedures manage and RUN a warehouse? This same discrimination is prevalent in the Production Department. The upper echelon of the company has no clue about what takes place in the warehouse or about the culture of the warehouse. I m surprised no one has contacted the EEOC about their discriminatory practices. Or have they? Aside from their discriminatory practices, this is an ok place to work. They have monthly birthday celebrations, and the Production and Logistics employees are hilarious! If you are a minority and need some quick money before transitioning to another job then this is is the place. If you are a minority and are looking for growth and development and a future, then stay AWAY from this place!! If you are Russian, then this IS the place for you. Promotions are limitless, you don t have to know anything about your position, and you ll be compensated very well.
Let me say this to all for the record to all who wish to work with this company STAY AWAY DON'T WORK FOR THIS COMPANY LOSIEST PLACE IVE EVER WORKED FOR THERES NO BENEFITS NO UNION THEY DONT WANT IT THEYRE SLAVE DRIVERS WHO WORK U TO DEATH FOR $13 DOLLARS AN HR NOT WORTH IT THE STAFF AND ALL WHO WORK HERE ARE UNCARING ROBOTS WHO DONT CARE ABOUT U THEY JUST CARE ABOUT THE WORK U DO FOR THEM SHORT LUNCH BREAKS 30 MINS THEY MAKE U WORK IN ALL TYPES OF WEATHER WIND SNOW OR RAIN THEY WILL MAKE U WORK UR BUTT OFF THEY MAKE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND THEY GIVE U PENNIES TO THE DOLLAR' I GOT HURT WORKING FOR THEM THEY STILL MADE ME WORK AND TOOK ME TO THE HOSPITAL ONLY AFTER WE WAS DONE FOR THE NIGHT THE OWNER HIMSELF IS A UNCARING ROBOT HE NEVER CALLED OR APPROACHED ME TO SEE HOW WAS I DOING AFTER MY INJURY HE WALKED RIGHT PASSED ME IN THE WHARE HOUSE HALLWAY AND SAID NOTHING TO ME THEN THEY FIRED ME 3 WEEKS LATER I HOPE THEY SEE THIS BECAUSE I REGRET NOT SUING THIS COMPANY WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE THIS IS A MESSAGE TO ALL WHO WANT TO WORK HERE DONT ITS NOT WORTH IT THEY DIDNT PAY THE HOSPITAL BILL EITHER FOR THE INIJURY I SUSTAINED WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY
