Ambler Music Review

We love Ambler Music Academy! We have now been enrolled for piano lessons here for our two boys for a year. The boys have progressed so well and really love playing. Since COVID19, we have participated in virtual lessons and they have been successful! The director, Andrew, and his wife, Laura, are lovely people and truly care about helping kids love music. Our teacher Sam is exceptional with great experience, humor and passion! Their dedication has made such a difference in the boys learning. As this was our boys first exposure to music, we really looked at all our options when we picked this academy. We are so thankful we chose Ambler Music Academy!

Hands down the best music experience in the area. My son has been taking piano lessons since he was 3 1/2, and when the school transitioned to the Ambler Music Academy under new director Andrew Hoy, we were thrilled to continue my son's lessons with instructor Hannah Doucette. We couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments to date, and I have fielded more compliments than I can count when I post his recital performances on you-tube for friends and family to see. His success had influenced his 3 year old sister, who couldn't wait to begin lessons with "Miss Hannah", so we started her this past summer. There's nothing to which I can compare the pride and joy I feel when I see my children practicing and performing the piano, and I have Andrew, Hannah & the entire Ambler Music Academy community to thank for that! If you've never had a lesson in your life, or if your an accomplished musician who wishes the same for your children, do yourself a favor & visit the Ambler Music Academy!

Everyone at the Ambler Music Academy (AMA) is so kind, patient and supportive which is why our children do so well. We love our piano teacher, Ms. Marcia and cannot thank Andrew and his wife enough for all they do to keep this program such a success. Our boys are showing great progress even remotely which is such a testament to everyone at AMA. You do an amazing job in person and found a way to continue that success in the virtual environment during this pandemic. Keep up all your amazing work and we look forward to returning back in the church for lessons and recitals.

My two daughters take piano lessons at Ambler Music Academy with my youngest starting lessons at 5 years old. They have great supportive teachers that foster the love of music. My girls have learned to play different styles of music and the teachers keep my girls engaged.

Both of our daughters have been taking lessons (one guitar, one violin) from AMA for over 6 years and I actually took voice lessons with Laura for about a year and they are AMAZING!! Andrew Hoy (owner) teaches my now 6th grade daughter violin and what I think is particularly special is that he is able to meet her where she is. She doesn t practice a ton and it s not her favorite thing to do bc she would rather play video games all day but he is patient and doesn t pressure her and works to find songs that she will enjoy (pop songs etc) to help engage her more. And at the same time that he does this with her, he is able to also teach the more virtuoso players and the ones who are really advanced and love playing. That is a gift to be able to do that in my mind. I highly recommend Ambler Music Academy for all levels, ages and instruments bc all of the teachers there are amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about Ambler Music Academy. Both of my children take lessons there (cello and piano) and their instructors are wonderful. The owners, Laura and Andrew, make you feel like you are part of the Ambler Music Academy family right from the get go. Even when we switched to virtual lessons this past Spring, we still got high quality instruction each week. My kids love it so much that we continue with lessons through the Summer, when able. I highly recommend AMA!

This is a fantastic place in Ambler for music lessons for people of all ages! They have a wonderful and experienced group of teachers, and offer instruction for a large variety of instruments. They offer both private and group lessons, as well as a family music class, and music therapy. They also put on a recital for the students to showcase their musical talents!
