Our approach is holistic, meaning we don't just provide shelter but also offer various programs and services that address the root causes of homelessness. We work closely with each resident to identify their unique needs and goals, then develop personalized plans that help them achieve self-sufficiency.
One of our core values at Amber is empowerment. We believe that every person has the potential to succeed if given the right tools and support. That's why we focus on building resilience, confidence, and life skills among our residents so they can overcome obstacles and thrive in all aspects of life.
Our housing options include shared houses or flats where residents have their own private room but share communal spaces like kitchens or living rooms. This setup promotes socialization among residents while also providing them with a sense of independence.
In addition to housing, we offer various programs such as education & training courses, employment support services, mental health counseling & therapy sessions as well as recreational activities like sports clubs or art classes which help build confidence & self-esteem among our residents.
We also have an outreach team who works tirelessly in local communities across the UK identifying those most at risk of becoming homeless before it happens by offering advice on how best they can avoid it happening altogether through early intervention strategies such as mediation between family members or landlords/tenants disputes etc., thereby reducing demand for emergency accommodation provision which saves taxpayers money too!
