Worst hospital and doctors in the ICU. My dad had a procedure done with no problems previously but chest pain and they told me that he had a heart, liver, and kidneys failure after the procedure. He was in the ICU for a week and he got better. They changed his room due to one of the plugs issues and the next day he got pneumonia and his health condition got worse and worse and he passed away after few days of suffering here. DON T GO HERE. They don t care about their patients.

Everytime I've gone here its always about me needing to lose weight or it's all in my head. I went in a few months ago for chest and stomach pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, and unable to keep food down. I told her I may have a lung infection and asked for a scan and/or xray. The lady said ct scan and xrays were unnecessary to do and it's all in my head and I need to lose weight. 2 months since going to the hospital I got a ct scan done else where. Turns out I was right, i did have more things than just anxiety going on. Could have been resolved so much sooner if they had just listened to me.

Don't let the the movie set like feeling of the AMC' s The Walking Dead ward hospital setting fool you if you happen to arrive on the evening during the weekend. The hospital staff was wonderful and took good care of me. Humanity lives here as I have witnessed the staff take care of people with psychiatric needs. This is a first rate hospital in my book. I recommend this hospital for any emergencies you may have. I send the staff and hospital love and white light for the care I received. Thank you.

First time at Alvarado Hospital to visit with my daughter.
. One Nurse on the 3rd floor very rude.. Ask about my daughters blood work results and automatically her attitude was rude and told me to look it up in the computer.. when I didn t understand what she meant , then she says you need to ask her nurse.. Why didn t she say that in the beginning. Unnecessary

Very slow nurses and doctors only one out of the many was a great nurse.

I stayed 3 days and was treated with kindness and professionalism. My room was clean at all times and I felt well cared for. Side note for night nurse Susanna...I felt like I was the most important patient there. Not to take away from anyone else. Thank you so much.

This place....there is never anything positive about this place, but it's the closest hospital from where we live at. My partner was having chest pains and he's suffer a mild heart attack before so I took him here, ( I dont know why I dont head instead for grossmont which is a little further) but Alvarado is 2min away. The last time the security guard were super aggressive towards my boyfriend and deny him entrance. Yes my boyfriend was mad at their approach, he was in lots of pain, so they called the cops on him. It was a little intimidating, especially cause six cops rolled up and they spotted the car I was in with my son, I felt like they were about to have me get out of the car with my hands up and arrest me, thankfully they were level headed. Everytime I take him here the staff is either too rude or suspicious, or not in a hurry to help you. Next time I'll just call 911 or take him straight to grossmont

Nurse Tammy in the ER was the most wonderful person we have ever met. Her bed side etiquette made us feel so comfortable. Loved her

Called asking a simple question if my insurance would be covered at this hospital and was greeted with a very rude woman in the ER who told me I won t find anyone who knows the answer then hung up the phone on me. Upon reading other reviews it seems like a lot of the staff are rude there.

The vaccine clinic in the medical center is really well run and efficient. Love that they guarantee the second dose if you get the first from them too. Very easy process, thank you!
