A very nice place, the only bad thing is that it is almost inaccessible unless you are staying in Chavon or have a restaurant reservation from a previous day.

An interesting 'medieval' village set in the jungles of the Dominican Republic. The inky down side ws the high prices in the village.
The views are spectacular and the buildings are meant to represent 13th century Roman construction. Well worth having a look.

It is unique, beautiful, calm, so natural with a touch of the old, I love it .

The city of artists is an interesting place with classical architecture in Italian and Spanish style of 16-17 centuries !!!

This sightseeing is occupied by Casa de Campo and if you travel by car you can't get to this place.

Excellent Mediterranean-style building dedicated to the fine arts has an amphitheater, a church and museum where paintings expose this side of the Chavon River in the area of La Romana.

The scenery is beautiful. A nice place to take pictures, but nothing much to do there.

Curious place to see, it has its fame. It is an artificial construction, replicating others, such as the Roman theater. To access you have to pay 25 dollars at the entrance of the Casa de Campo Urbanization, which gives you the right to visit the Chavon Heights, the urbanization itself and to be able to bathe in Minita beach.
Whether or not it is worth your visit depends on the tastes of each one.

There is one very romantic place in the Dominican Republic. This is the town of Altos de Chavon. Its construction lasted almost 20 years and was completed in 1992. Its owner and inspirer is American millionaire Charles George Bludorn. It is believed that he built the city as a gift to his daughter Dominica. It is made in the style of a Spanish town of the 15th century. Stone pavements, tiled roofs, a Catholic church - everything breathes with antiquity. The size of the town is small. In principle, you can get around it all in 15 minutes.

It is a place with spectacular views of the Chavon River and the medieval town is impressive, there are shops to buy souvenirs and there are also bars and restaurants. There is also the amphitheater where you can walk and take photos. Very recommendable.

Old Town nothing really special! Nice for people who love to see historical building/places

Nice place with an amphiteather that was built in 1982. The village overlooks the Rio de Chavon river. Located right next to a large golf course. Well worth a visit.
Worth seeing is the small church that is said to have married several celebrities (Jay, Michael Jackson, etc.)
