I have been going to see Dr, Barter for 5years. She is very knowledgeable on both nutrition and body complaints.

I was suffering from severe acne. Someone recommended Dr. Barter. I went and she was able to find thyroid problem that was causing my fatigue and acne. No other doctor had been able to diagnose. I feel some much better and my skin is clear!

I have had back problems most of my adult life. I have tried all kinds of back care from traditional to alternative. To date I have never experienced any lasting relief from the pain and symptoms until I started working with Dr. Barter. You can t teach kindness and compassion in Chiropractic school and in my opinion this is what differentiates a good technician from a healer. Needless to say, I believe Dr. Barter to be a true healer. She uses a combination of gentle manipulation, pharmaceutical level supplements and varied modalities. She is incredibly intuitive and her kinesiology results are spot on! In my early sessions she said, If people follow my suggestions they will likely get better. Well I am here to tell you Dr. Barter was telling the truth. I am very grateful for her presence in my life and her assistance on my road to recovery.

Dr. Barter's office is so welcoming! She is knowledgeable, approachable, and makes a visit to the doctor's office a pleasant experience. Dr. Christian was incredibly thorough in her treatments. The holistic approach is something that was unique from previously experiences.

I work with athletes for a living and was a former college athlete myself. My knees have not allowed me to work and train the way I was accustomed to. Dr. Christian provided treatments and muscle exercises that helped significantly reduce the pain in my knees.

I have had severe jaw pain for many years after a tooth infection and thousands of dollars worth of dental work. Dr. Barter has taken my jaw pain from severe pain to non existent. It feels amazing to feel so much better. I had never been to a chiropractor but I am certainly glad I go!

In the past, I would buy large family size Tylenol and Advil for headaches, migraines and joint pains. I haven't bought a bottle in six month since coming to see Dr. Barter. Not to mention that I have saved on Kleenex from not being sick! For three years, i was on 20 ml. of Diovan. My medical doctor has removed this medication completely. My arthritis is gone and I have not had my chronic colds. WOW!

I have been suffering from chronic lower back pain for the past 4 years. I finally went into see Dr. Barter, since all my friend see her. I was completely skeptical of chiropractic but was amazed that after only 1 treatment my pain went from an 8 to a 2. Finally starting to get my life back after years of pain.

Simply amazing results. After a very prominent chiro in Longmont told me after 6 years of regular adjustments that he couldn't get my spine in the right place anymore, I came to Dr. Barter. Her appts are 30 mins long and totally different than regular chiropractors. She removed the scar tissue that was preventing my spine from moving to the right place. I have even gained over 1 inch of height.

She's helped my blood sugar and thyroid and I have lots more energy as well. I refer everyone to Alternative Family Medicine.

Said my galbladder was causing my nausea. Got it removed after trying expensive pills that did nothing. Galbladder removal made me worse. This place ruined my life. Wish I could rate negative stars

I have had debilitating headaches for years and have seen countless doctors, chiropractors, and had several procedures all without much relief. Jen had a unique ability to actually listen to what my body was telling her. This allowed her focus on my problem areas, whether it was joint or soft tissue related. It wasn't until I was half way home that I actually realized I hadn't felt that good in years. Range of motion, pain, tenderness and overall well-being were at a level never experienced. Dr. Ann is the absolute best!
I injured my back three years ago and as a result, I ended up not able to work because of chronic low back and leg pain. I also experienced depression and anxiety attacks.
I saw one chiropractor, a neurosurgeon, three MD's, and went through a month-long pain management program before I found Dr. Ann. My most recent MD (a pain management specialist) had pretty much given up on my case and told me that I would just be in pain for the rest of my life and gave me painkillers and Zoloft to soften the blow.
I met Dr. Ann at an extreme low point in my life. I was sure that nobody would be able to help me. When I talked to Dr. Ann, she was confident that she would be able to make a difference in my life. She has! Because of her encouragement, friendship, and treatments (both emotional and physical), she helped me to regain movement, to get off the drugs, and to lose 60 pounds!
I used to sit and do nothing because I hurt so bad. Now I am able to move around, exercise, and I feel so much better for it. At one point, my day revolved around when I took the next round of painkillers. Now I am no longer dependent on medications and I have learned more healthy ways of coping with pain. I started seeing Dr. Ann Barter several months ago for neck and lower back pain. I also had a lump in my neck that had been there for several years. After seeing an ENT doctor, the Radiologist, a Cytologist, and having it biopsied, nobody could tell me what it was. I was extremely frustrated and had spent so much time and money trying to figure out what was going on. My first visit with Dr. Ann she immediately was able to tell me what it was and started treatments. Now the lump is pretty much gone and I can move my neck again! As a dental hygienist, my posture is not the greatest and I am constantly hunched over and experience neck and back pain. After one adjustment I was out of pain. I've been to other chiropractors before and have been relatively happy with them, but she exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond! I've never had such a thorough appt before. She really took the time to listen to my concerns and not only treated my chiropractic needs but also helped me with my diet and nutrition. I am a sugarholic and a fast food junkie. She gave me some supplements (anti-sugar pills) that stopped my sugar cravings. I also had bursitis in my hip pretty bad and Dr. Ann was able to help alleviate the pain with adjustments, supplements, stretches and exercises. She is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about your overall health! Dr. Anne Marie- Barter is a lifesaver and so knowledgeable. She has helped me so much. She isn't "just a chiropractor" but is a kind- hearted and excellent holistic doctor that treats every patient individually and takes time to listen. She will look at your labwork and a thorough questionnaire & go over it with you to determine an individualized healthcare plan for you. She is treating my low blood sugar for instance with a supplement. Here are some of the treatments she has used with me: gentle chiropractic care, cupping, needling ( like acupuncture). I was in so much pain before I came to her that it hurt to just lie down. I have come a long way under her care. I cannot recommend her enough.

Dr. Barter helped me get out of pain after 5 years of being in pain. I had debilitating low back pain that has limited my ability to perform my job. I am a nurse and just walking around the hospital was changing. Dr. Barter was the first person to look at other areas besides my back and found that my feet were a major cause of my back issues. Now I am able to walk without extreme pain and I am getting back to the outside activities that I enjoy. I also no longer have headaches, due to her figuring out my TMJ was causing headaches. I've had many many sessions with Dr Jenn Christian. She's the real-deal chiropractor. Doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (submission wrestling) at my age is maybe not the smartest thing. She's put me back together multiple times so I can keep training. She's incredibly nice, and not afraid to spend extra time on persistent problems.

Dr Mary Alvarado spent time with me and discussed the importance of putting one ingredient foods in my body. I had been stuck in a bad nutrition rut for a few years. After my phenomenal adjustment I went straight to Whole Foods and restructured my pantry. Within 3 weeks I had lost 5 lbs . I ve eliminated refined sugar from my diet and I feel like a new woman. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner, certifies in Colorado and Pennsylvania where I now live. I went to Dr. Ann for neck and shoulder 'issues' after doing many holistic and standard medical therapies. I did not take pain relievers stronger than Tylenol, but the stress and tightness in my neck had me worried. After 2 treatments I found that Dr. Ann could provide amazing relief of my discomfort and my sleep pattern improved for many months. Dr. Barter started doing neurotransmitter therapy with me. I have tried prescription medications, they helped a little in the past but the neurotransmitters actually got me sleeping again. My MD agreed to pull me off of both my anti-depressants and sleep medication. I'm so grateful that I feel so much better!
