I rent from Alston Properties currently and they are CORRUPT and fake ion the sense they are "good" people that help out the low income community. I have to take a constructive eviction due to the management being predatory and greedy. I have a guaranteed income and they have charged me $140 more than a listed space on their website currently. I pay $1540.00 for a 1 bedroom non the 2nd floor with the elevator in my hallway and is completely not updated or renovated. I also have hard evidence that they have equipped their buildings with wifi which may be connected to the single phased array technology and I'm pretty certain (unconfirmed at this time and will update when confirmed) I found hidden surveillance device in the clock on the stove from 2003 and RFID stickers on the 1970s refrigerator. Then there's their problematic tenants that release their "cloaked" drones flying around and yes I CAUGHT ONE FLYING AROUND MY BATHROOM WITH A ROBOTIC ARM HANGING DOWN OFF IT probably to steal and record things. Blew my mind and. I caught it with an old iphone 6s camera and laser light and maybe the 2 comined was able to pick it up as I did not see it until I watched my videos after. BLOWN AWAY to say the least... My bike went missing from my apartment Sept 15, 2025 and the only people with keys were maintenance and management and she denied me viewing of the cameras they claim are for our safety. I know this all may sound very far fetched, SCI-FI and a bit insane but I assure you its very true as I could get into trouble by falsifying claims and that's not my style. Management coerced me to sign a 3rd party payment to my subsidy agency just so they'd legally be on the hook for paying my rent until my lease was up. She objected my 14 day notice to vacate and demands I stay and pay my over priced rent until March 31 2026.
There is a major humming coming into my place that essentially layers my place in a substance that is now affecting my health severely and upon looking online on forums many apartments now how the same problem. Management has blocked me from my power meter when i had HUGE spikes in my utility bill (from160-220 usual all the way to 480 kilowatts ) and I was 87% higher than my neighbours. She ignored me and told me to call Enmax. When I did i got 3 different answers from 3 different employees starting with "we'll send someone over immediately" to "its gonna be a $280.00 fee if they don't find anything." My carpet at the entry way was COOKED and melted onto the floor from extreme heat, my walls in my shower, bathroom floor, kitchen counter top and inside dishwasher have been way to hot and so unusual and is obviously the cause of my power spikes and why I'm blocked from seeing my meter and getting my own readings to make sure it wasn't an internal employee at Enmax. I feel at times I'm being "cooked" alive especially in the summer. I could go on with the threats from a neighbour to stop talking about what I was talking about 3 suites down. She knocked on my door when I had company so loud I had to answer it then threatened me. Again, two more times. Then maintenance tried to tell me my sink was cracked and he needed to replace it and and after he left I felt it was previously repaired and tried to pin it on me. The worst part is they are predatory and when I tried to solve some issues the manager would talk in circles and gaslight me. I am now stuck here with possibly no help because my subsidy agency had to sub this place and not my new one. RTDRS next. Be aware and if there are triple sided mirrors in the bathroom cabinet be VERY CAUTIOUS or just DO NOT BOTHER WITH ALSTON PROPERTIES OR BOLD PROPERTIES MANAGEMENT. Oh here is the kicker!! The manager is unlicensed and DOES NOT live on site making her not allowed to operate as a leasing agent other than in her own building she resides. Know your rights people because renting from anyone now will now be private and no management company EVER AGAIN! Stay vigilant Calgary! I love this city but its falling apart so fast. THANKS NWO!!! You love people soooooo much and I cant wait to see what our futures hold for us!
