I wished we had gotten an experience like others have written about. We were offered, and then quickly demonstrated how to feed the alpacas. That's it, that's all. It took about 15 mins. Then we looked around the store, which sold alpaca wool and products and were on our way.
Our single learning experience was alpacas don't have any top front teeth.

A great experience for young and old alike! The owner operators are very friendly, accommodating hosts, offering interpretive tours and fun farm walks. Overnight parking available for Harvest Host members.

This place will always hold a special place in my heart. I proposed to my amazing fiance here. The way they gave us a private tour and let us go to a private area was amazing. Sharon and John were truly amazing for allowing us to have our special moment here. We look forward to coming back in the summer to spend the night and do a picnic.

Thank you again.

We spent a lovely December afternoon with Sharon, her husband and their wonderful herd of alpacas. They are incredibly dedicated, knowledgeable and welcoming hosts. We walked for an hour with 1 year old Quest and learned so much about alpacas. The gift shop is filled with Eight & Mud treasures that are made onsite. Definitely worth the visit!

Went for a walk with my girlfriend for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. They were on time, the farm was clean, the alpaca was well trained and very funny/well behaved, and the tour guide was awesome and she knew so much about alpacas. Highly recommend this place!!

What a great place to stop. As soon as we pulled in we were greeted by John and the cutest little alpacas faces you ever did see. We were able to park our trailer right next to the fence where these beautiful creatures were and woke to them munching on grass the next morning. You will be sure to find something amazing in their gift shop. Sharon spoiled us with freshly baked oatmeal cookies and blueberry muffins. We would highly recommend this as a place to visit. We will definately be back.

We loved our experience at this beautiful farm!

We loved our experience at this beautiful farm!

The owners were fun and friendly, and so we're the alpacas! We enjoyed feeding the alpacas and the tour of the farm where we learned about the care if the animals and the many steps involved in making yarn, which is quite the art! The yarn is beautiful and SO soft, and there's lots of yarn and gorgeous hand-knit items to choose from in the store.

We highly recommend booking the Alpaca Walk, it's an experience you won't forget!

Shannon was absolutely amazing! We stayed a night for free through Harvest Host in our RV. She was so warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. We got a tour of the fiber mill and to go in with the alpacas to feed them! The owners kindness and generosity is something hard to find now of days. I wish I could have stayed longer with them! I m already planning when I can go back with friends, as everyone should experience Alpacas from Eighth & Mud! Thank you so much for out the wonderful experience!

Came for shearing day yesterday! This is I'd say a medium sized ranch. They got maybe 30 or so alpacas? Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly staff member, and I should say, everyone there was super friendly, even to the strange asian outsiders that decided to show up randomly hehe.

When we got there, they had already sheared most of the chums, but they still had quite a few left, like the big white one, Nitro. You'd think he was super tuff, cuz he was so big and strong, but he was the biggest baby of all, and kept crying the whole time hehe. He was just yelling and screaming the whole time, poor thing. Some of the other ones were real cool about it, like they didn't care at all, until they started cutting the fur on their heads and they'd start kicking!

There's also a small gift shop on site, where they sell alpaca related things, like scarves and vests and stuff. I think they're made of the alpaca wool from the ranch. They also had some feed you could buy. That's the only way the alpacas will come to you, cuz as we all know, animals only like you if you have food lol.

This is a fun place to visit for an afternoon, definitely worth the hour or so of driving. It's in Hamilton so you can go to the waterfalls after, or Dundurn Castle, it's super convenient for a day trip!

Excellent experience! I was amazed about the amount of Alpacas they have on the farm. It was 2 dollars for a bag of feed and the Alpacas love the attention! There is definitely some interesting characters among the Alpacas which is interesting to observe.

Great place to visit with kids. You can feed, walk, or simply watch animals. Also, the gift shop has souvenirs, whool, local honey, and local brown eggs $4 per dozen. Friendly staff, great experience.
