AFD is full of opportunities. People there are very nice, the ambience is awesome, I just love being a part of Alliance Francaise de Delhi....

Without a doubt, this is the best place to learn and speak French in India

The place has a wonderful library with books on culture, artists, history with audio visuals on music and movies. The place also screens movies in the Bharti auditorium and is a host to various plays and amazing events .

It is the best place to learn french language. Its loaction is very awesome in between the greenry of lodhi gardens.
The faculty is also very great and understanding. The crowd of the institute is also top notch a very good experience to gain a new laingual skill.
The cafeteria is newly renovated and has quite good food options and peaceful enviornment for studying.
classes are euipped with state of the art technology.

It's a French institute here and it shares infrastructure with an auditorium called ML Bhartia Auditorium.

I am no a student of French so I don't know details about the courses but the place is very well maintained and there are activities which keep happening here every now and then.

Also, the French Cafeteria 'Tchai Tchat' is a nice place to chill. '

I had a horrible experience at Alliance Francais. My 1st level course teacher was good, but A2 level teacher was awful, impatient and constantly cribbing about the lack of facilities in Alliance Francaise and picking on students in the class. I had asked Alliance for the name of the teacher before joining but they refused to tell me. There should be a change in policy and a student investing 8000 for the course should be told the name of the teacher alteast!!

This is probably the strategy of Alliance to assign a good teacher for the introductory course and then follow up with an extremely poor teacher.

can anybody update me with the fee structure for beginner and duration for French language

French language courses are taught here. Cultural activities, exhibition, talks, theatre etc are also conducted occasionally

I ve been a student of this institute for 2 yrs (approx) and hence I know this place very well. Being a private n international institute, the fee is really high (and so is the education system). Among all the teachers (who taught me), I met with one teacher who was really not that good even though the teacher had a lot of experience. The library is really good and have a good collection of books and other educational stuffs. The cafeteria, inside the campus, is good and not that expensive (for afd students as they ve a different price list for the outsiders).
Overall, this is one of the best institutes in Delhi/NCR for French Language.

Has a really good cafe and Audi (though very small).

Performed once on stage of Alliance's stage and it was amazing. Alliance has one of my favourite audis in Delhi. The overall ambience of the place is also good and so is the food in cafe :)

It's the Indo-France cultural centre. Lots of programs keep happening here, like exhibitions, panel discussions, film screenings, etc.
It has the biggest French library in Delhi. .
The rest of the building mostly has classrooms, apart from a cafeteria and a beautiful terrace.
They conduct language courses, as well as mentoring sessions for students wanting to study in France.

If you love French culture, then whether you study here or not, it is a must visit!

Good place to learn french. Teachers here are supportive and understands the mind set of students. If you want to learn french i will recommend you to join this place.

I'm highly disappointed in the demeaning and hostile behavior of the the administration staff , they were downright rude and unhelpful
Intact they were unwilling to take admission even when I was clearly within the mandated time limit
They were deliberately holding information and trying to get me not to submit the form as they wanted to leave the office
How you treat your customers shows the values of the institution and
I don't think they value business

This is only for the rich. Indeed it is for the Delhites who speak English.

Poor and rude customer service over telephone. Insufficient staff at the reception. Mismanaged admission processes. Highly disappointed.

I attended the Crash Course A1 level - It was SUPER CHIC. The faculty over there is SO GOOD. Strongly recommended to all those who are thinking of learning French before going abroad for undergrad/ post-grad studies.
P.S. The Cafeteria is great and value for money too

This place is located near Lodhi garden. I visited the cafeteria and I really love the aroma and asked my friends to tag along.

To begin with, i ordered white sauce pasta which was okay. Then had chilly chicken and I really don't like the taste after the second bite.

We were really hungry so ordered chicken fried rice and you can feel that it was half cooked.

We ordered aloo parantha which was nice and after ordering the second one. To be really honest it was our biggest mistake because stuffing was minimum.

Amazing ambiance, Amazing people, delicious cousins n rich culture makes it great place for everyone.

Best place to learn French and for cultural activities

I m putting alliance francise....it's always taking the location to allianze packers and movers......my 1 hr wasted which was a 10 mins route

the best centre for learning and cultivating a proper knowledge in the french language, culture and also a great place for international collage applications.

Great Ambience. Films . Plays . The Theater seats are not comfortable.

Reasonable price. Best Student's canteen with great view.

Just money making if you are keen to learn french then you can learn it from YouTube but don't waste your time and money here. Its just a brand name and nothing else. The receptionist doesn't know the timing and name of the batches and sends someone to any of the batches and then you need to yourself find which is your actual batch.

Worst place I had visited teacher don t know any thing I recommend please don t waste your time to learn French from here

I am not a French student but i went there for a project which i make in french and it's really help me lots.

You studying here with free mind no objections.

Here u get all types of french books, novels, vocabulary.

Also u get here audio -visual study material in library.

They provide couching tooo on this level basis.

Saw a stand up comedy event at this place. Had fun. Everyone around was polite and the place was neat and clean.

This is such a cute, beautiful place! I've been here a
lot many times to watch plays and sometimes l feel
like just sitting in this cafeteria and chill.
The food here is so good. I've tried almost
everything available and can't decide one favourite.
Their sandwiches are amazing! The bakery items are
so good and fresh.
Iced Tea and Cold Coffee are my constants though.
If you ever plan to come here don't forget to try their
French specials and Tart

An absolute disgrace in the name of a library - This library is supposedly one of the best in the countries, but doesn't allow people to use wifi here.
Are they operating in the 1900s?
How is one supposed to do their research here if they're only allowed books? They have a total of 5 computers for a lot of people.
Ridiculous and hostile staff with a system which dates back to the middle ages. Please try and update yourself to the norms of the rest of the world.

They should understand that if we are paying so much for a course, we should be allowed to change our teacher..
Continuous change of Teachers is highly unprofessional.
My friend's teacher in the A1 level was superb..
But gradually as he moved on to next levels, the quality of teachers is not at all upto the mark..
Really disappointed..
Hoping for him to get a better teacher in next level.

Fortunately we are local Delhi-ites and we know where Lodhi Estate is. Imagine the fate of a new comer for whom these maps are made!!

AFD is the best place to learn French. They have worldwide branches and one can continue to learn the language from any branch around the world.

Saw a drama "Ashadh ka ek din" by Aavran Art society. It was good. Location, theatre is also good.

Perhaps the best place to learn French language in Delhi. Arrogant, unwelcoming staff at the reception brings them down by 2 stars. Phone calls are seldom answered.

Been to the cafeteria at Alliance Francaise of hearing a lot many good reviews in the past..but trust me didn't have a good experience as close to the previous received responses.

Chilly chicken- undercooked chicken, initial bite was good later the chicken pieces doesn't give the same taste. The chicken wasn't either fresh or cooked properly.
2. Chicken fried rice.. almost similar experience along with the half cooked rice.where at one moment we felt that these cud also be the plastic rice or the fake rice
3. Arabiatta chicken pasta. It was fine yet same bad chicken experience and as a ritual no garlic bread was served which came as a disappointment
4. Lemon soda- with no lemon and soda within.. a.bland drink with

Alloo pyaz parantha- initial 1st plate was good yet we found too much thick layer of uncooked flour and asked for a better filling and less flour with next serving of the 2nd plate.. but it was a disaster to have tht.. since there was no.hold filling within and all.was a thick uncooked layer of the flour .a tasteless experience. Won't be coming again and recommend anyone.

THE FOOD IS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS ON A DISCOUNTED PRICE. which makes it more popular and pocket friendly.. adjacent to UNICEF building and easily identify in general traffic. .

It's an awesome plc for those who wants learn French from basic to the expert level.

good for right amount of french culture exposure with the language

Language courses, Cultural events, French movies with subtitles, Check their website, I went there for the annual Francophone day celebration where all the french speaking countries setup stalls. I won a gift hamper from the Swiss stall (Yes English is one of the official languages of Switzerland)

It is the best institute authorised by France govt in Delhi . You'll definitely get a great command on french language with lots of fun and personality development.

Alliance Francais Delhi, the best place to learn French from. Even though the place provides excellent facilities and academic mentors, the fee is pretty high.

A place with good facilities like having an Auditorium, Multimedia Library, Restaurant & the whole construction is itself a beautiful piece of architect depicting the combined arts of India & France.
