Great place for a kids party but the calzones weren't a hit with the 5 year old crowd
Great place for a kids party but the calzones weren't a hit with the 5 year old crowd
I like going here as it is always quiet and calm. Just wish they had a better selection of movies so I could go more often!
I couldn't really find where the parking was so I parked on a street I'm not from Toronto so I was a bit worried about it
Great location, cheap price, clean, what more could you ask for? Comfortable seats too.
every disappointing movie (the jungle book)
We went to the 7:30 movie and sat there and got BIT 3 times by BED BUGS
I scratched the hole movie
After the movie, went to find a staff person none to be found
you wont get any more of our money
Great neighborhood cinema. Always the latest movies available.
Great small theatre. Unfortunately does not take scene points card.
close, lots of parking.Fast Food alley or sit down places all around.Theres a nice park right behind the theatre come early grab some take out and have a picnic and a movie.
Theatre is good lots of room good sound ,nice snack bar, and first run movies.
Not a good theatre - There was no one at the front box office when we entered - we had to buy our tickets at the concession stand, which was very strange. The washrooms were dirty and they advertise using the Cineplex name but are not affiliated with them: ie. they don't accept Cineplex gift cards (very annoying since I purposely went there to use my gift card)!
No scene or scene points. I only come here when I have to. Just sell out to Cineplex already dammit.
High quality seats, good projection and good sound. Very close to a busy street car line and sufficient parking.
Great little neighborhood theatre. Never feels too crowded. Just wish there was more parking for our pickup truck.
Great community theater, for local people the membership give great discounts. Nice clean theater.
I like this place. Pretty quiet and well located if you're living int he beaches. No free parking available on site but if you want an alternative to Cineplex while not quite going with small one screen cinema, its a great option.
I love this place. Good seating and not so crowded as other cinemas.
Good size theatres, very nice concession and great 1st run movies. Rarely any line ups and usually easy getting a good seat with 2, 3, or 4 friends together. One of my favourite theatres for 1st run movies.
Pros are also the cons. A good number of large screens for a quiet theatre that's not nearly as busy as the ones downtown.
But the low attendance looks to be taking its toll. Staffing is minimal, concessions have declined in quality and the "arcade" should probably just be removed at this point
Great small theater on the beaches. Very friendly staff and the was warm and fresh. They also serve beer and wine. It's not an overly crowded cinema, the seats are comfortable and on Tuesdays the tickets are discounted. Some of the latest movies were playing. There's something about the big screen that makes a movie even better .
It's like a small town theater, for better and worse. There's always parking (Green P) and it's rarely busy, but the concession stand is brutally slow. Small theatres but good picture and sound.
Good place to see a movie if you re not up for the big lines and the crowd.
Exactly what you'd expect from a movie theater with some nice extra goodies likes arcade games and pinball.
My only concern was that we got charged $28 dollars for 2 large popcorns and 2 bottles of water ($4 each).
So, basically, bring your own water bottles.
Overall a great quite place. Shocked that Starbucks actually serves beer and wine here. However one of the students left to watch the counter seemed a bit overwhelmed, a bit more training might be needed.
Was average.... Has everything u need from a cinema
We went to see the latest superheroine movie. Had a grand time. Very stress free and not Imax so one in our party did not get a headache
I'm fairly certain that the screening of CATS I just attended was projected poorly. For one, there was a reflection or duplication of that image that created ghost like images in the bottom part of the screen. It is most notable during the opening title credits as company names are clearly duplicated on the lower part of the screen which should not have anything in it. Secondly, the sound was terrible. I can't imagine that a 100 million dollar musical would have mixed it's sound to be so quiet and front facing. There was virtually no surround sound to speak of. This is the second subpar screening experience I've had at the Beaches Cinema in a row. Until the broader issues are addressed please see films at another venue.
Way easier to get a seat here than at some of the other theatres downtown, I will say the seats are not nearly as comfortable as the new theatres around the city, but alas thats life. Good theatre. You'll get a seat and some popcorn. Bueno.
Great place to watch not busy but screens are smaller than the typical cineplex screens
Rarely a line up. Memberships are a good deal if you go regularly (includes free parking).
Really nice smaller theater. Does well for the size. Prices are a little expensive, but it's a theater, I think that's a given. Customer service and workers are friendly, nice location.
Ive been living in the beaches area for 4 years now, and Ive always gone to this theatre , enough that the manager knew me, Since new management is changed its gotten uncomfortable. I went to go see robin hood at 10:20 and showed up 10:40 which we all know the movie is only 5 minutes in by now. The doors were locked and the skinny kid who answered the door told me they cant let me in to see the movie. Im pretty sure 20 minutes late does not mean you are not longer eligible to see a movie. Ive stepped outside for a smoke during a movie and have been locked out before. You are going to lose business this way and im sure I will be choosing yonge and dudas next time . I know what beaches Cineplex is like and you guys can afford to lose more customers.
It's really close to home, showtimes generally work for me. Staff is friendly, plus it's the Beaches so it's often not as busy as downtown theatres which makes for a nicer experience overall.
Can't beat having a first run theatre in our neighbourhood. Super service too!
Nice, cheap, and quick. Snacks are expensive but it's a movie theater so it's expected. Many convience stores near so you can get snacks there.
This is a great local Theatre ample parking, first run movies, comfortable chairs. I would recommend showing up early as the lines are slower than usual. They have a membership club you can join for discounts. Would make a great Xmas gift for any Toronto EastEnders.
I usually go here for matinees. It's rarely crowded at these times. Facilities and prices are what you'd expect. Parking for free can be a bit challenging, but there's a huge paid parking lot nearby.
Clean and spacipus. Friendly service. Available parking across the street.
It was good, I loved the movie and the food was great
I've been here twice now for screenings of superhero movies, and I have to say this is a very convenient theatre. Having come both on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon, both days were not busy. This is a great place to go to catch a movie if you don't want to have to deal with large crowds. The service is not 100%, but it's not lacking either. Definitely consider this cinema if you're tired of all the large chains.
Perfect theatre! Great movies, accessible, good service, never crowded.
I didn't go in the theater but it's looks nice from the outside
It's not Cineplex but it's a great theatre. It's a bit on the smaller side, but since I live in the area it's convenient.
I recommend getting there early.
Great to be able to see avengers end game when all other theaters were sold out.
If there isn't a Cineplex around then this is an okay alternative.
It's just what you expect. Probably refurbished less than 10 years ago. They serve beer!
Cute little theatre with an old school feeling. Clean and open theatres with really nice staff!
You can't buy tickets at the box office - go in past it to the left to the concession stand.
Some of the features of more recently built theatres aren't available, like lifting armrests.
Cant tell you how much I love visiting this theatre. Reminds me of a movie theatre in Windsor when I was a kid. Great smalltime feel.
So much better now that its changed to Cineplex. Will definitely be going more often.
Great location for a movie for those that live in the area. Too many movies showing in 3D, but that issue exists with all theatres these days. Parking situation isn't great and will cost you more money to park across the street. Theatres could use a quality update.
Great cineplex with very little people, nice surrounding area, free parking, comfortable seats, single playing time of films, and friendly staff.
This was the first night out with my children and myself in a long time the staff was awesome we saw the Adams family movie we all loved it
Best little theatre in the city! Never as busy as the downtown spots
Cozy, has lots of personality, not so busy and great popcorn.
My favourite cinema. A nice local.
But please for the love of Bruce Almighty put some painted lines on the floor at the concession stands to make people create individual line upsbfor each cashier like everywhere else. Somehow Beachers believe creating one mile long lineup (singular) for four cashiers is normal.
Lovely cinema not to far from downtown. It even has a small arcade, loaded with older arcade games including Time Crisis!
Well I live in the beaches and it's the only theatre around.
Great little theatre. Not as busy as other larger theatres
Love the " membership" option , for $25 a year that includes free parking it's totally worth it. Nice theatre too !
Who takes a star away for average popcorn? Seriously get a life you silly dork
Nice place. However, the concessions manager there on December 8 was horrible. He let me stand at the Starbucks concession cash, which is separate from the popcorn and soda line, for 5 minutes waiting to order coffee and tea. He walks past me 2 times before I have to wave him over and say that I would like to get hot drinks. He doesn't even acknowledge me, just mumbles that the till is closed, and to go stand in the popcorn line. There are no signs saying this, and all the lights are on at the Starbucks section.
This would not have been a problem had the manager put a sign, or perhaps, crazy as it sounds, been respectful. But it leaves a bad taste to be blown off.
The young attendant who eventually helped us was great.
