The hotel was nice and so was the experience. We paid $350 for the night. Spending so much, I expected more... like parking! They only offered street parking, and we had to park over a block and a half away, in below freezing weather. We had an ocean view room which was lovely, and the breakfast was amazing! We even went for a walk on the beach in the morning. Overall, the best thing was the breakfast and the worst thing was the parking.

The room had a view of the beach and was very clean. Thumbs up there. I would've definitely gave 5 stars but had to take 1 away for the hostess Sunday morning 5.2.21. Our room came with breakfast but she insisted we pay thinking we were from the boardwalk and not realizing we were guests even after telling her our room number. We had to go back downstairs to the front desk and he sorted it all out.
Thank you again to that gentlemen as he saved the day. I will definitely still recommend this hotel to family and friends but I will make them aware to watch out for the hostess
I'm definitely going back during pool season..the rooftop was beautiful!

This hotel is dirty and old. Balcony doors do not open no way to hear or smell ocean from room. No free coffee in room or lobby. The rooms are really worn strange stains on wall worn thread bare towels. If you drive 40 dollars to park. For the price it's so not worth it. I wouldn't stay there again

For the price, this is a great beach hotel. Remember, this place is directly on the water, and it is VERY hard to upkeep a building that is constantly under attack from salt. Staff is top-notch. Great water views, even the partial water views. Cons: The worst, UNSECURED WiFi I have ever encountered. If you plan on working from here, bring your own!!! Secondly, the for the $35/nt resort charge, you get WiFi (which I already pointed out is complete garbage!), bottle water (which is the cheapest, generic brand money can buy) and breakfast (which is edible at beast). So, a HUGE rip-off on the resort fee!!!!!! You will never get a tip from me when you charge a resort fee for garbage. The morning breakfast crew really needs to learn service. In the week I was there, I had to ask and wait for coffee every single morning! BIG PET PEEVE!!

There is a great restaurant at this hotel, the food is nice, and they don't look at you funny when you use a Groupon.

The room I was in, (one bed) was a little small but not so small you couldn't maneuver, and the bathroom was a nice comfortable size. The room and bathroom were clean and modern, however, I must emphasize clean. This was a place you would feel comfortable sleeping in.

The bonus, it's convenience to the beach. Go downstairs, walk outside and there's the boardwalk - right by it, the beach! Of course, the water is cold right now but walking through the sand and enjoying that lovely sun is a great tradeoff.

If you're going to stay anywhere in Long Beach, the Allegria is the ideal place to be.

This hotel gives mixed signals. On one hand the exterior and lots of the interior is beautiful. Three restaurant and it's food is both chic and exquisite. The location is remarkable as it's right on the boardwalk and offers stunning views of the beach and water... But then there's a dark side. I stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding party. Another member of the party mentioned they found bedbugs in their bed and furniture prompting me to CAREFULLY inspect my room and bedding. I didn't find any actual bedbugs but what I found was deeply disturbing with both red stains, (a sign of bedbugs), and hairs throughout my sheets. I worry as my room was assured to have a sanitation inspection prior to checking in. I decided to closely inspect more and I did not like what I discovered. I contacted the front desk and they had my room serviced and sheets replaced immediately. I enjoyed the wedding and the venue as everything was beautiful. Our photos from the rooftop are undeniably gorgeous but that still leaves me concerned about the sanitization and cleanliness. I am really happy the staff was open to listening and compensating me with drink vouchers and I would consider visiting again purely based on the response of the staff.

I wish I could give the Allegria 5 stars but it s lacking. I booked a basic two double bed room and was updated with a partial beach view which was lovely. The windows do not open but since they re windows there will be a slight draft to come in. Check in took a bit of time but it wasn t unbearable.
The furniture in the room is very worn and the bathroom could use a remodel. The toilet was stained brown and the shower didn t have a door that closed but had a glass partition. I won t complain about the housekeepers but I stayed for four nights and they never came. If you want to watch TV then I hope it s not raining while you visit because the signal will cut out. Our window also leaked while it rained and left a puddle of water on the floor.
They changed the complimentary buffet breakfast policy although it says breakfast is included on the website. I paid $55 dollars for breakfast for two and when I asked about it I was told they switched the complimentary breakfast for rooftop pool access. I stayed in the hotel before Memorial Day so that s a bit confusing but I didn t fuss about it. I tried going to the rooftop and the elevator wouldn t allow me to get to that floor. Even from the 8th floor there was no access.
Hopefully new management improves the hotel. I wouldn t recommend it to my friends or family at this time.

Nice view but the room smelled like cigarettes and was very plain.

Also the bathroom offered no privacy.... So be sure to go with a guest you're comfortable with!

UPDATE: Booked and paid through Expedia, and then charged additional taxes and resort fee when checking out. This was not made clear when booking/ checking in and I am extremely disappointed. I will not be coming back in the future.

The afternoon and night bar dining is no so bad.. It's the "stay in hotel experience" that was so disappointing! Elevator was down with no accommodation, can't even open a window a bit in the hotel room!, breakfast is horrible and well overpriced... Best part is the beach, if it's not raining.. Good luck!!
