Friendly staff and great beer. Strongly recommend ...
Friendly staff and great beer. Strongly recommend the tour. Dog friendly!
Friendly staff and great beer. Strongly recommend the tour. Dog friendly!
We stopped by on Saturday after Thanksgiving. Taco del Seoul is available. Was crowded enough but not packed. So many cute dogs are welcome too.
Unfortunately they are not serving any beer from the brewery during COVID. It was still nice to visit the home of Allagash. You can still buy cans bottles and swag. Some of the other local brewers have Allagash brews on tap.
We liked the tour and we enjoyed sampling their beers. They had some nice merchandise, a comfortable setting, and I definitely enjoy their "White."
Nice place.. good beer.. workers here don t seems to be the friendliest
Very cool brewery. Many cool things on tap. They'll ship your merch for you if you're traveling and have lots of local foods and treats to try.
Allagash is an awesome spot to grab a (really incredible) flight and chill with some friends. Great beer and a cool location!
Great place to see a great story about some great beers.
Extremely nice, super knowledgeable. Free flight! We need more distribution in Ohio. Please.... Pretty please!
Can't beat free beer and despite the crowd and the rain we got right in. 10/10 would visit again next time I'm in Maine
One of the best breweries with some of the best brews around, I've yet to have anything but a good time here!
Very fun your (great free samples) a very fun and intelligent tour guide with a great personality. the tour is about in hour. OH Yeah the Beer is awesome too.
If you are a driver delivering here the warehouse is at another location and dont be early for your appointment they won't unload you till the magic time. Whatever.
Nice brewery. All Belgian brews so avoid if you want more traditional American beer. Cash only tips.
Terrible. Tour ended at 5.50pm and we were immediately booted off the premises with no opportunity to try the beer, as they closed the bar.
Really incredible brewery; definitely worth doing a tour if you're there. Atmosphere is awesome, beer is SO GOOD; get your fix of House Beer while you're there, it's amazing and brewery only! Great merchandise selection too, with some really unique items you won't find at other breweries.
This is a must-do if you're in Portland!
Unfortunate flight cost money now... Great tour though!
One of the best brewery tours I've ever been on. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and great beer.
I love their summer beers, but I wish they had 8oz cans.
This is Chimay at an affordable price and quite frankly, probably better. This is my favorite beer of all time. My local liquor store stocks both Tripple and Dubble ales just for me. As a New Englander, I am such a fan of this beer I would go to work for Allagash.
This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Portland. My wife enjoyed it too and she isn't a big fan of beer. The tour was great, led by Meg. After the tour she spent so much time with multiple folks from the group individually in the tasting room. She talked to us about what we like, brought some samples (found one my wife liked!), and even gave us a special drink when she found out it was our anniversary trip. She also took time to recommend other things to do in Portland. Gabe was also great and very friendly in the tasting room.
These seem to be some of the most genuine and friendly people I've ever met. It's obvious they love what they do and want to share that joy with others. Even if you're not staying in this area of Portland, it's worth a trip out there. Give yourself time before and after the tour if you decide to book one as you'll want to stick around! The tour and the drinks in the tasting room are all reasonably priced. If we lived closer we would be here often!
This brewery has awesome beer! Great atmosphere! Very Relaxing! Always make it my business to stop there when in Portland.
What a fantastic take on Belgian beer here in the states.
Great tour and beer. Inspiring backstory. Happy with our haul to take home. Thanks!
What a treat it was to visit this awesome brewery and get a behind the scenes look at their dedicated and passionate people, state-of-the-art equipment, and meticulous process for producing one of America's best beers. I don't even consider myself a beer connoisseur, but let me tell you that the Belgian style beer brewed here is on a class all its own. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. You won't regret it.
Came here over the weekend to try some beers on tap. They only do preset flights, but they'll happily pour you a (generous) sample or a half pour of anything for $2. We tried the Sixteen Counties, Shiro's Delight, and Tripel. The Shiro's Delight was definitely the most unique, with strong sour notes of berry throughout. We grabbed a few bottles to take back home to Cambridge with us! I'd happily return. The bartenders are super nice.
I'm obsessed with allagash white. I had it for the first time at Geddys in bar harbor in February of 2020, chasing the northern light. Since then I've searched for it not knowing the name or its origin. I visited Dinosaur bbq in Albany and that beer looked familiar. Sure enough, it was that beer I've been searching for for 8 months. Will be visiting Allagash brewery soon!
Great tour with provided headsets so you can hear the guide, great craft beer. You can buy to go, but they don't sell beer to drink here (only the free tasting). Neddles and James Bean brews were superb.
This place is dope - a must see during a Portland visit!
Such an impressive brewery! Consistency, quality, nice people, and an incredible commitment to the region! Sour beer! a campus of wonderful, craft beer! So cool, such an incredible treasure!
This was the best brewery tour I have ever been on! The guide was super informative and it was really cool to be able to tour the entire production floor. the beer is fantastic and seeing how the brewery has expanded was really neat. The tasting room is exactly what I want my backyard to look like someday :)
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Immaculate brewery making world class beer. Well worth the visit.
Excellent brewery with an excellent tour. Staff are always incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. A great place to visit with excellent Belgian beers, sours, and others.
Free tastings, what's not to love?? Pets are welcome on the patio.
Phenomenal quality beer, original and unique yet all very crushable. The prices are outstanding. One of my favorite american breweries I've visited.
Everyone was so incredibly nice. Their beer is and has always been top level but the ambiance and staff made the trip extra special. You will not regret the trip to this classic American craft brewery.
Amazing brewery to visit! My wife and I stopped in with our 9 month old daughter on a Friday afternoon while on vacation. We didn't want to commit to an hour tour but Emily offered up a shorter tour to accommodate us without us asking. As a homebrewer, it was an amazing experience. You can tell the employees at this brewery are very knowledgeable and love what they do. I would highly recommend Allagash. The highlight of our trip, thanks Emily!!!
I love craft beer breweries and Allagash was a pleasure to visit. Even if you don't agree with all the beers they brew, it's hard to deny the vibe and service that they provide. Great people and great beer. Thank you!
Always an amazing time here. Tour is exceptional and the staff is awesome!
You guys need a bigger space! We have come up here several time through out 2017 and currently and sometimes it can be a tough area to enjoy your amazing craft beer
Sincerely a craft beer drinker since you started. DON'T FORGET ABOUT US...even your bartenders aren't passionate about your brews! Come on now .
A must for anyone visiting Portland. Great beer and laid back atmosphere.
Beer was awesome, loved the outdoor seating, the lobster truck was delicious, and there were coloring books for the kids.
Great place! Staff is amazing and very knowledgeable
Took the tour while in town for the weekend. Has to be made in advance but we were able to schedule for the next day without issue. Lots of great samples during the tour and the outdoor area is excellent!
Honestly, this was so cool. Informative, knowledgeable staff, free beer, free tour. It really doesn't get any better. Even my husband who doesn't like beer, enjoyed himself.
Very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of samples and fun. This is the second time we have gone. Highly recommended if you like good beer.
I personally have never been to this location but Allagash White is amazing! I wish it was sold in the Midwest.
Great brewery! Have loved their beer for years and finally made it to the brewery. They have a ton of drafts on tap, beer in cases, and lots of merch to choose from. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bars in both areas.
Can't wait to go back.
Very entertaining free tour and great beer, highly recommend to visit.
Best place ever. Even got a free 4 pack because we dont have it in Jersey.
A happy place. The only thing better than the incredibly outgoing staff is the beer. Just left and already can't wait to return. Great curbside and socially distant service.
Service is wonderful and beer was excellent. Great place for a beer!
Make sure you come for the tour and book it well in advance. You get their rotational pours on the tour and there's always refills. Plus, it was a great learning experience if you've never heard about brewing. James bean, buddy. Delightful.
Very friendly atmosphere, nice people and very very good beers!
Already a fan of Allagash, but this tipped the scales for me. Excellent little tour, super cheap too. Great sized sample pours along the tour. Great tasting room at the end! I could have stayed in their beer garden for hours.... with the food truck and the lovely atmosphere! Highly recommend the trek out here. Totally worth it! And try a little of everything, even beers you might not think you d like.
Everything about this place is top-notch. Location, building/outside, staff, prices, and especially the beer. Super dog-friendly also. A must-visit in Maine and for beer fans.
Great tour and presentation of a local Maine brewery! The tastings dont hurt either!
Great brewery! This was our second trip to Maine and needless to say our second visit to Allagash. We opted not to do the tour and tried their beer flight. The atmosphere is great and they do offer food as well. The weather was a bit chilly and rainy but their outside patio is covered and heated. Oh and we love the beer... wish we had it in our area!
Interesting tour with beer at 4 stages of the tour.
Good beer, clean, great place to get a flute of samplers and support a local brewery!
I'm 59 years old and never found a single beer or ale product I liked. For me, there is always a bitter taste, sometimes immediately, but always as an aftertaste. Recently, we dined (on lobster) at a restaurant on Bailey's Island and my wife ordered the Black product. She gave it a taste and handed it to me to try as she liked it. So, for perhaps the 100th time, I gave a new beer/ale a taste and, there was magic!
Beautiful location. Amazing selection. It's tucked in next to a handful of other breweries, so you could super easily walk back and forth to all of them for an afternoon. Also, very dog friendly.
Really nice drinking outdoor drinking. They give you a free flight. The food truck that was there had one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. Also, Allagash is conveniently located across the street from more breweries and a distillery.
Nice brewery, good selection of beers. Interesting tour, especially for those who like engineering.
Great beer, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent swag.
So happy to finally make it to one of the OGs of the New England craft beer scene. Beautiful facility with a great indoor taproom and equally great outdoor, covered beer garden. Happened to visit on the day of release for Ghoulschip and James & Julie. Amazing bottle selection as well as a vast draft list in the taproom. One could spend an entire weekend on this street with several other breweries in the neighborhood.
One of the best brewery tours I ve been on and the Belgian inspired brews were fantastic. 10/10 - would recommend.
Really cool spot, indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly area, food truck. Belgium style beers, had some good stuff, worth the stop and theres 4 or 5 other breweries in the same block
I love Allagash, from the vibe, the people, and the beer, this place is inviting and can keep you hanging out for a while. We visited this past weekend and were lucky enough to be given a few tokens for free drinks as it was our birthdays (we didn't ask for this, they just noticed it on our ID's). As a fan of sour, funky beer, I was in heaven. Much of Portland's beer is in the IPA or Pale Ale family, so it was refreshing to taste and experience something different at Allagash. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. After the brewery closes, go bowling or play in the arcade next door (Spare Time).
Kind and knowledgeable staff. Great beers. The tour includes some tastings!
Learned so much about beer doing the tour. Allagash white is now my favorite beer ! Love this place !
I don't understand how it could be so popular you can't even go inside.
very limited selection available for purchase, enjoyable tour.
Such a fun place to visit!! The beer is free, people are friendly, there's always a great food truck, the tours a fun (if you can get in - be sure to reserve ahead of time), and they even have free juice boxes for the kids. Oh, and the beer is amazing, especially the unusual ones you can only get at the brewery.
Just great! A variety of interesting beer and cool environment!
Tasting room is not open due to covid19 restrictions.
Still able to order for curbside pickup. (Prohibited to drink beer in the parking lot)
And also you can have great lobster rolls from bite into maine food truck.
