All Smiles Dental Center Review

All I have to say is WOW! Dr. Vela and his staff are amazing. They are so flexible with your schedule, and are very informative and honest with their clients. I travel from Austin to get cleanings and dental work. The best thing is that they are open on Saturday's! Not many Dental practices are and this allows me to make the trip on the weekend. Everyone is great and their job and show that they care. My wife and I consider them as family because of how kind and loving they are for others. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

I needed to find an emergency dental office and I am new to the area. I looked around for an office who would take Delta Dental for Tricare retirees. They said they do and that could come in at 11:30. Two hours wasn't bad and they were going to email me the welcome packet so I could just come in and be seen. Never got the welcome packet! I showed up for my appointment 15 mins prior like they requested. Waited for another 30 mins before they gave me the paperwork to fill out. Then come to find out they cannot get authorization for my Insurance and i cannot be seen till they get authorization! Keep in mind that this is an EMERGENCY dental situation. I never once was asked what the emergency was or anything about my condition, they just wanted to know how they were getting paid the whole time! I left after this didn't seem like it was going to work and called a different dental office while i was still in the "all smiles" parking lot. They were able to pull up all the correct info over the phone with just my SS# just like the Delta Dental website explained. I will not go back to this establishment and I wonder if they talk to every new patient with a family like that?! Guess my family And I will be going elsewhere for our dental needs!

The very first day my son and I walked in the door, we immediately loved the office. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and responsive, three great combinations that a business SHOULD have. The most valuable quality All Smiles has is that they put us (the customer) first. I would go so far as to say that All Smiles sets a benchmark in customer service that other businesses could learn a lot from. And anyone reading this in search of a new Dentist, try them. Trust me, you will love them as soon as you walk in the door. I highly recommend them to anyone in the San Antonio area.

I was referred by a co-worker that spoke very highly of this facility. I was able to get a same day evening appointment as I needed to get in ASAP. Firstly I was pleasantly surprised at not only how friendly the staff were but everyone made me feel so comfortable. I just changed Dentists due to convenience of my work hours and the staff here made it easy for me. I was called back almost immediately and the exam test weren't too long. TVs were in the room the one in the celing was genius to keep patients from focusing on the pain or whats going on. Overall I had a great experience and I will return!

My first, and most likely longest lasting impression was made by all the staff at All Smiles. Nicest group of people I've met in a long time. They felt like family from day one. The work done was quality, and done by gentle, caring nice people. Come out and ride the go kart anytime!

Joined as a first time patient back in August and after my second visit, both have been pretty incredible! Exceptional service with Assistants and Dr. Ray, very friendly staff especially after working a full day! Love the service and the attitudes!

Had another great experience with Dr. Villa and his staff. Lourdes at the front desk is awesome at customer service too!

Dr. Veal is amazing, very caring and gentle. The staff is also great. Always so nice. I have switched my whole family to this dentist.

Great dentists They squeezed in my husband on a holiday to pull his broken tooth. Dr. del la Rosa does not try and sell you more procedures than you actually need. They send you lots of reminders about your appt. I appreciate that.

This is truly the best dental clinic I have ever visited. The staff is very compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. De la Rosa is amazing. He talked me through my entire procedure, and it was obvious that he truly loves his work. I highly recommend this dental office.

Yesterday was my first time at All Smiles Dental Center, I booked my appointment online using Zocdoc and found them thru google and decided to give them a try biased on their reviews alone. I was greeted as soon as I walk through the door by Elizabeth the receptionist with a smile and a hand sake welcoming me to the clinic. I sat and filled out some forms in their lovely waiting room ( they have some super comfy chairs). After a short wait Sylvia one of the dental hygienist come out greeted me introduced herself and then gave me a small tour of their new office which by the way is beautiful and well maintained, after my tour I was taken to my room and was given a gift for my first visit and a card from the Drs. welcoming me to the office. I was then asked if there was anything they could do to make me more comfortable from a list of comforts, from which I chose a nice warm soft fluffy blanket. I then had one of their Techs come in and take my x-rays as I sat all warm and snugg as a bug and get this..... her gloves were FLAVORED!! blew my mind I didn't even feel like I was at the dentist rather at a spa or mini vacation. Dr. Ray was my dentist he was very gentle in his inspection and addressed my concerns in a kind way. Once he was done with my check up I just had to wait for Sylvia to do my dental cleaning which was done very well my teeth felt great and she gave me some great tips on flossing and brushing to help reduce tartar build up and even looked into if my insurance covered some extras before preforming them. I can't wait to go back for my next appointment so glad I've found a dentist that I can recommend to my friends and co-workers.

I'm terrified of dentists, it's just a thing I have. I went to All Smiles in horrible pain because I put off going to get my root canal. Finally I showed up there miserable and nervous, they worked me in that morning. The front desk staff was fabulous and very sweet. The whole staff was so kind and gentle and welcoming. My dentist rocked! It was the best experience I ever had at the dentist. I literally enjoyed my root canal! Who can say that?!?! I strongly recommend going here, I'll be a loyal customer to them from now on. The sweetest people and the best service ever. No heavy hands and painful experiences anymore. Plus it's family owned and I love to support anything local, just a added bonus.

Dr Vela is a very knowledgeable and skillful dentist. He also has an excellent chair side manner. He and all the staff are very pleasant and flexible and provide excellent customer service. They are even open on Saturdays!

Being a military family with 3 children is very stressful, when you're new to a place & trying to find reputable services. I called on a Monday, and I had an appointment for myself & 3 children in one visit the same week. They had the best customer service I have ever received, they made you feel welcome, they take you on a tour of their facilities & we all received gifts just for coming! They are very great with children, because they are a family owned business. I would insist anyone looking for a new dentist to look no further!

This is the best dental office I have ever been to, hands down. I have gone there for myself and have received the best service from everyone at the office. I've also taken my two-year-old son and both Dr. Vela and Stephanie were great with him! He even got to pick a toy on the way out!

When have you ever heard a child ask "When can we go back to the dentist"? When you take them to All Smiles! My kids absolutely love All Smiles Dental (and I do too!). They are quick, professional and friendly. We drive all the way from Leon Springs to see them because they are the best in town!

I had a great visit, no wait time pre work forms done ahead of time and x rays done immediately and then my cleaning . Everything explained to me, friendly service and just a great fast, efficient and productive office being run. Will recommend to all my friends and family! Very happy with my dentist visit and Stephanie was great, gave me a tour and explained everything to me step by step which helped calm my nerves. Thankyou for a great visit!

All Smiles Dental is the BEST dental office I've ever been to. I used to absolutely hate going to the dentist, but now I look forward to my visits. I have gone for check-ups and regular cleanings, and 2 fillings. I used to feel so much pain when getting my cleanings, but the Doctor and dental assistants are very careful and efficient in their work. I highly recommend this office!

My husband and I have both recently had work done here. The staff and office have created an atmosphere that makes you feel at home, and you are treated like part of their family. Refreshments are always offered, and there are other comforts offered as well during your work, such as TV on the ceiling, blanket, ear phones, sun glasses -- whatever you need. I have a history of being afraid of dentists all my life (due to bad experiences as a child) so my teeth are in bad shape. I had absolutely NO fear or stress here... NONE! And their prices are VERY affordable! And you're taken right in, at your scheduled time (not left waiting in the lobby, and then stuck back in a room). Quick in, and quick out. We LOVE this place!!!

This place is well worth the drive for me. From day one the way they welcome you to the service each employee provides is beyond words. Everyone smiles talks to you is friendly. The wait isn t long at all the cleanliness is perfect. Would recommend to others. AJ and Dr. Ray seen my daughter my son was seen by Dr. Vela and his assistant at the same time. Had a good visit.

Just had my first appt at All Smiles. I am totally impressed! I got a tour of the office and shown to my exam room where a gift was waiting. Yeah, I thought, my free travel sized toothpaste and a toothbrush that every dentist gives. But NO! It was a stainless steel, insulated travel mug with their logo! Wow! Thanks! The was also a short welcome note hand signed by each doctor. l was shown a "comfort menu" where I could choose things like a bottle of water, blanket, TV remote, sunglasses, etc. to make my visit more comfortable. Then I met Stephanie, my hygienist for my cleaning. She took the time to thoroughly answer my questions, even projecting my x-rays on the TV so I could see what she was talking about. She used a single light/magnifiers that clipped to her glasses so I didn't have that super bright overhead light blinding me and she used a nifty electric cleaning tool that used vibration to quickly remove larger pieces of plaque (instead of the scrapany l am used to). Usually, a trip to the dentist is tolerable at best. But l actually enjoyed my visit to All Smiles.

I have never had a better experience at the dentist! My 5 year old son was complaining of a toothache. He had never been to a dentist and was a little nervous. The entire staff was super sweet with him and made him feel much better. The dentist was awesome and very patient with him. He explained every step of the way so my son knew what to expect, He had a filling and an extraction done that first appointment and did not even need the laughing gas! I was blown away. We have been to pediatric dentists for his older brothers, there was just no comparison to the level of care we just received.

They fixed my smile so that it's better than ever :) very fast and no pain at all. I'm very happy that I come here to get my dental needs met.

They do it all and have great customer service! Their hours work great with my schedule. They have TVs or music for each room and blankets if you're cold.

This is a great place! The staff is very professional and courteous. Every part of the experience is efficient and enjoyable, from the quick sign-in to the music they play in the patient rooms. Dr. Vela is very approachable and kind, and very efficient at what he does. I have had two great experiences with them, and look forward to a long relationship.

They have always been helpful and professional with all our kids, we have 7 kids and they always take care of all our dental needs. They even go above and beyond of what I would expect from a dental office. They open their doors early for us and to top it off it s always on a weekend, Saturday s always smiling and making the kids feel comfortable to the point that the kids are always excited to go to the dentist! Never been to a dentist and I had a great experience

Everytime my family and I come here we always have a great experience everyone here makes you feel like family. The best place in San Antonio. My son was always so scared to come to a dentist from the bad experiences he had before at other locations . But he actually loves coming to the Dentist here.We feel truly blessed beyond words to find this place.

Went for my first visit today and discussed my plan of care. This office appears to run like a well oiled machine. Friendly faces everywhere and the front desk staff were all very helpful. Eager to see the outcome.

Such an amazing dental office! I went through 3 different offices before finding this one. They were the only ones who would work on me with my high dental anxiety. I am NOT an easy patient, but this office has found near to every way to make me comfortable. I've had a tremendous amount of NEEDED work done, and the prices are honestly spectacular. I've been to no less than 12 appointments in a 6 month time period because I need major work, and I can honestly say they have become a big part of my life. If it weren't for them, I would not have gotten the 13 years of dental care I needed. Thank you Dr. Vela for accommodating me to be as comfortable as possible in the office. Thank you to the front staff for always being as kind as possible. Lastly, thank you Dr. Ray for continuing to work with me at every appointment even when I'm being difficult. If you need a dentist, this is the one to choose. Any negative ratings you see on this office are highly inaccurate.

I went to this dentist while I was in SA for college and could not return home to my usual dentist. They cleaned my teeth and took pictures, then proceeded to tell me that I had 4 cavities and needed to have them fixed very soon. They did not show me the cavities in the photos or any proof that something was wrong. The cost was outrageous and they said it would only increase after a few months as my cavities would get worse. I did not have the money to do the procedure so I waited about 8 months until I could see my usual dentist back home. I expected to have four horrible cavities, but as it turns out, I DIDNT HAVE ANY. These people just want your money. Avoid this place at all costs.

My first time visiting this office since moving to San Antonio and I absolutely loved it (and I hate coming to the dentist). The staff was wonderful and very attentive. Sylvia was a very sweet and informative hygienist and Dr. DeLaRosa was awesome. I definitely recommend this office!

Used to be a good place to go but now seems there are arrogant receptionist. They also schedule appointments without consent and ecpect you to pay for cancelling the appointment.

I used to be that person who never went to the dentist unless something was wrong, and I mean really wrong! When I went to see Dr. Vela and the staff because of some major issues, they took great care of me! They didn't lecture or make me feel bad for not seeing a dentist sooner. They made a great treatment plan and scheduled according to what was best for me. I now go see them every 6 months for my cleaning and checkup. I never thought I would ever routinely go to the dentist like you're suppose to. They are very professional, flexible, do amazing work, and sincerely care about you as a person! Best overall dentist experience!

This place is amazing! The wait to get attended was short and Ana was the one who helped me get my x-rays and get me situated. She was very nice and friendly. Everything was clean and sanitized and very professional. Dr. Vela came in and started making some notes on my file and I raised all my concerns and he listened and made sure that all my questions were answered. Yaresi was the one who checked me out. She made me an estimate of what I need and she broke it down step by step so I knew what I was paying for and she gave me options on how to save money! Overall this was a phenomenal experience and I will definetly come back!

I moved to San Antonio in July and had a dental situation that require me to have a dentist I. The area before I even found an apartment. I can honestly say that this is the best service I have gotten at a dentist. Every time that I have had a dental emergency, they have been able to work with my schedule and get me in that same day. check-up and I'm so glad I did! I was greeted and welcomed by the nicest staff! I was given a tour so is know where everything is. I was given a personal welcome note and gift. My hygienist was incredible! She was extremely gentle cleaning my teeth and I'm very impressed with how clean and white my teeth are! She was very friendly and considerate. Her dad (the dentist) came to check my teeth before my cleaning and took a lot of time to speak to me about my concerns and my history. I really have no complaints and I will be going back in 6 months!
