Very unprofessional and bad service . Will plead anyone who s issuing a New insurance or renewing their insurance not to do it with Al - Khaleej insurance. The Claims Manager , Mr. Amir and the underwriting manager Mr .Mohamed Taleb did not have the basic courtesy or etiquette to engage with me as a customer .

Do not insure your car with Al- Khaleej insurance. 100% Honest review of my recent experience.

I had an unfortunate incident of being involved in a car accident couple of weeks back . The right side of my car , a 2019 Range Rover sport was damaged. Being a full cover policy including agency repair paid at an additional premium , The car was send to the agency for repair . The insurance company refused to accept the estimate claiming it to be high . They asked to me accept switching my policy to a third party cover for them to approve the estimate.

The final amount was less than 25% of the total insured value . However , they claimed it to be too high and refused to issue the LPO to release the vehicle until i agreed to cancel
the Insurance policy . They claimed it to be part of law and showed me a general termination clause to justify it which made no sense in this scenario.

Even after the vehicle was ready, they issued the LPO only after forcing me to sign the cancellation request drafted by them for me . To make matters worse , even after I cancelled my policy , they added deductibles to my full cover policy while issuing the LPO to the agency . The entire experience was wrong on many levels . But the sheer arrogance to do whatever they please and not be accountable
is beyond any service ethics .

They don t seem to know the basic concept of insurance . The highlight was the Claims Manager , Mr. Amir s justification - You paid only QR 7000/- as Preimum but your repair cost is QR 70000/- . So we have to cancel it
Why would we need insurance if we have to pay the repair costs as the premium ? We have been paying car insurance premium for years without any major claims . But when it does come, this is the kind of attitude the customer have to face . This is my experience when I have atleast 8 vehicles from my own household insured with them.

They are clearly taking advantage of the fact that the customer will not be able to hold on for long without releasing their vehicle after repair . Furthermore , they are aware that we would find it difficult to raise a complaint against them since complaints against insurance doesn t come under the Consumer Protection Policy and fall under the QCB. The way the refused to listen to my concern or even address it properly forcing me to Accept their decision to cancel the policy clearly pointed towards that .

Their decision would have made sense if the repair costs was more than atleast 50% of the insured value or if I had availed claims repeatedly deeming me unfit for full cover . However , the repair cost being less than 25% and being a first claim , it was a very unfair and wrong decision forced onto me in a very rude and authoritative manner .

This is my first experience with AL Khaleej Takaful Insurance and honestly, they have, by far, the best online platform which is responsive and their customer support is beyond awesome with super quick turnaround time. I was assisted by Jayzel on what'sapp and she is simply awesome, quick to respond and resolve the issues. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
