Wonderful old time theatre. We saw the Three Stooges film festival. It was a lot of fun, there were some of the original Stooges families there. There was an MC also. Definitely will go again.
Love performing there and seeing shows there. The sound is inconsistent at times but the staff is wonderful
Not a very large theater but the acoustics were amazing and the show was great.
Love this old movie house. Went to see "The Big Sleep" with Bogart and Bacall. Good chance to see an old classic on the big screen.
Friendly staff. Good seats. I go whenever I'm in the area.
The HAPA Awards were held at the Alex theater. A very nice venue to host an event
Historic venue with beautifully restored decor, generous sight lines, and a well maintained house. The local area is filled with a bounty of pre and post show food and drink options.
I really enjoyed the 93 years celebration event. I like this place and meet people there.
The acoustics of the theater is very good !!! And from almost every seat you have a very good view of the stage.
Met so many celebs here. #HAPAWARDs the balcony made me a little nervous. So if you go here make sure you get floor seats
Terrible place to work with if you are renting the place.
This theater is rented out to various organizations. This was a musical theater performance. It is an old theater. It was used in a scene in the movie Singing In The Rain. The facility is fairly well kept up.
Very organized enjoyable way to spend s Saturday night with family and friends
Comfortable seating, beautiful venue, good audio throughout the theater
Small but cozy little venue in the heart of Glendale
Alex Theatre it's a very nice Theatre to take your kids or your loved ones to see a Shakespeare really enjoyed coming here for the first time recommended to anyone
Attended a live comedy special taping for HBO. Theater was very well maintained and the audience was great. Great sound throughout. This place will remind you of the theaters of the old days.
Awesome Theater well taken care of, clean easily accessible friendly crew.
great theater venue I love the choice of old films and their cartoon show they do once a year!
Splendid! Red carpet fresh. Good seats. Drink fluids before arriving or bring lots and lots of money.
We really enjoyed the showing of House of Wax with Vincent Price.
Beautiful fully restored deco theatre with decent concessions, great staff. See a political lecture or a show. Dining options are abundant, nearby.
Art deco architecture. Very interesting movies.Goo place to spend time with family.
Really quaint and fantastic, 20th century, proscenium arch theater with a rich historical heritage and friendly, accommodating staff. It has seen everything from the first talking motion picture to Motown and Alonzo Bodden, whom I just experienced, there..very hilarious
it's a great Seattler with a very good location. I love to come here every time.
Beautiful theatres, great venue for an intimate concert
Great environment great people staff was also great events wonderful restrooms convenient parking also convenient
This looks and feels like a traditional theater I frequented as a kid. My seat was comfortable, and my view of the stage unobstructed. That's the most you can ask of a theater. I was there to view the SAG awards. The image on the screen and sound were fine. The event staff were hired by the Screen Actors Guild, so I don't have an idea of theater staff's service. Good times though!
The place was very clean and well maintained. My only grasp is that there are no elevators since it is an older building.
Wonderful old movie theater that has been transformed into a beautiful venue for plays and ballets. Home of Los Angeles Ballet Co
Saw Raffi here and it was incredible. I'm a #belugagrad and saw Raffi when I was young so being able to bring my young daughter to see him was a dream come true. We both had an absolute blast. The theater itself is very nice inside and out. Sat in the balcony but still had a great view. All the staff was very friendly and engaging with the little ones. All around great experience.
This Bonito Comfortable with Facilities Viejitas but very traditional and very well preserved The Show of JoJorge Falcon great greetings
This is a clean, nice theatre to experience. I went there for the SAG Awards Viewing Party, and I definitely want to go back to experience one of their performances. The staff was friendly and engaging with everyone. The seats were comfortable and clean. It felt so vintage, I loved it.
Love Glendale and all Glendale's places, can't miss this opportunity to watch this incredible Play: Las hijas de su madre!
I was supposed to see the awesome Kevin Smith's first televised comedy special but that night he had a heart attack & so the show was cancelled but overall great place. Very timeless & vintage. Well lit for great selfies & great refreshments. Drinks were decent. Could see myself going there again in the future.
Small venue, great for medium sized acts and performances.
Good performances. A very nice local theater. Good sight lines. Many restaurants near by. Inexpensive parking structures.
Beautiful Art Deco landmark theatre. Owned by the City of Glendale. Used mainly for special showing of old and indie movies. Really worth a visit. Neoclassical architecture. Built in the mid 20s.
Watched the the taping of the Darcy Lynn show tonight. Great show and the theater is beautiful. Can't believe they've maintained it in such good shape for so many years. The show will Air December 12th and Darcy is fabulous.
Beautiful, classic old theater originally built during the roaring 20's. It's an equally magnificent sight outside, especially lit up at night.
So sunny that day! I suggest to put up some nice sheds which will surely help
Shakespeariance was awesome! Great trip for middle and high school. Small, yet luxurious Alex theater is perfect setting.
Cute theater, and the box office is always been friendly and accommodating. Processing fees per ticket are a little ridiculous, and seem unnecessary these days. It's going to add about $8 per ticket. If you can't handle stairs, be sure to get a handicap seat or be prepared to pay for a premium seat. The majority of the affordable seating is not handicap friendly.
Wonderful traditional theatre. Saw Jeffrey Kahane's last concert. Staff is courteous, amazing view any place you seat.
Very fun experience. I was there for the annual Three Stooges Film Festival. Can't wait to go back!
Good acoustics. Seats are a bit narrow. Lots of nearby parking and restaurants.
Professional theatre. In the center of town, excellent nearby parking, restaurants, shopping.
This review is purely based on events and refund policy. Please make sure if you are unable to attend regardless if sick or tragedy. The person is out of town you will not be given your money back. This is just a tip for future event goers.
The theatre was awesome.. Great time!!!
Wonderful theatre! Its a historical building of Glendale. Staff is always super nice and professional. I've been coming here for local concerts and shows ever since I was a young child with my family.
The Glendale youth orchestra performs here and they're awesome.
A little old, but still a great place to see plays, movies, or stand-up.
Take a trip back to the gilded age of glamour and movie stars of yore! This historical theater will enchant and delight, with its beautiful and ornate decorations, as well as ghosts of class and art. Well worth the visit.
