Yesterday I went shopping at Aldi Markt -Weinberg 107, 42109 Wuppertal-. At around 11:15 am I was at the cash register and wanted to pay with an Aldi voucher for markets (not for the online shop but for the markets). My husband had printed out the voucher on the printer, just like you can do in all other shops. The cashier was able to scan the voucher using the barcode and, according to her own statement, could also see that there was a balance of 20 euros on it. But she had problems finally redeeming the voucher. I also have to say the cashier tried and was friendly. She then brought in another lady, and two women came straight away. Probably through superiors or something. They presented me and my two children together at the checkout as a cheat, so to speak with the words: Everyone can print and copy such a voucher and come back again and again. "
I was shocked at the moment because the other customers were staring at us too. With a properly paid and valid voucher, we were portrayed as a fraudster just because the staff was not able to redeem the voucher. And the technical ignorance of how a voucher works comes on top of that. Ultimately, the barcode is crucial. When this is scanned and redeemed, I can show the voucher as often as I want, then there would be a credit of 0 euros. I'm sorry to put it like that, but you have to have a very limited understanding if you think you could copy such a voucher as often as you want and redeem it again and again. After all, this is not a food stamp but a voucher with a barcode and serial number.
Now that Aldi has portrayed me and my children in public at the cash register as fraudsters, I don't need to go shopping anymore.
And just for information, the thing is a gift certificate, that's what it's printed on. Originally I wanted to give it to my aunt, but then decided on a more personal gift. Imagine if we had given away the Aldi gift voucher and that would have happened to our aunt. How would we be then !! ?? Great job done Aldi (irony off) !!!

I have been waiting for a complaint response since June 10th, 2020. In between I get an email that they haven't forgotten me and then you have it. Nobody knows service and customer satisfaction is also a foreign word. I have 350 customers, if I dealt with them like that, I wouldn't have any more. The company can afford that. There is probably no marketing either, otherwise one would also respond to reviews. I can only say catastrophic customer service.

The second time ironed out problems with the quality. In this case photos of spoiled goods were sent and standard reply received. Of course you can exchange it. But who drives several kilometers for a spoiled article. The time and effort are greater than the loss. I didn't get any help on the fruit trees I bought.

Aldi is not my Discaunter there are almost no branded items, was only because of a kale pot that was on sale at Aldi and after my purchase I had to wait a long time, there was only one cash register open,
But as often as I bought something from ALDI, there was usually only one till open, even though I saw enough staff.
No not a good service. !!!

Aldi Nord cannot be reached by phone, just an automatic announcement nothing else.
Above all, as a severely disabled person, you are discriminated against by the branch in Kirchlinde and some other branches in Dortmund.
Despite a certificate of exemption from the mask requirement, you are thrown out of some Aldi branches in Dortmund, although you show them that you are exempt.
I will never shop at Aldi Nord again, and neither will my circle of friends, as we are very disappointed.

On June 29th, 2020 I ordered decking boards for more than 700 in the Aldi-Nord online shop.
Delivery should take place within 5 - 20 working days.
Since many deliveries are not made on time due to the corona pandemic, I haven't been very worried even five weeks after ordering. The announced contact with the forwarding company regarding an appointment did not take place and I had planned a two-week buffer between the latest delivery date and my vacation for assembly.
So I was still very relaxed at that point.

A few days later I logged into my profile on the Aldi-Nord website to contact support regarding the delivery delay and to receive information about the extent of the delay.

In my order overview, however, I had to determine that my goods should have been completely delivered on July 24th, 2020.
So I immediately contacted Aldi-Nord customer service, described the matter and asked for clarification as soon as possible, such as a new delivery date.

As a result, I received an email (standard email template) from Aldi Nord on July 31, 2020, in which I was given the reference number of my request and asked for "a little time for personal processing".

The next contact from Aldi followed 11 days later on August 4th, 2020.
To my disappointment, this email was, like the first one, an absolutely informationless standard template.
This email said "that Aldi needs a little longer to process my request".

Unfortunately, until today, August 17th, 2020, 24 days after I opened the case, this was the seller's last sign of life.

Fortunately, I only make online payments via PayPal.
I opened a case here on August 9th, 2020 and the seller was asked to comment immediately.
The deadline for this expires on August 19, 2020 and I could well imagine that this will also pass.

So at least I get my money back easily.

However, it's annoying to have wasted vacation days.
Unfortunately, I will not be reimbursed for the time and trouble.

Conclusion: Aldi is just a discounter, unfortunately they cannot send online at all.

Absolutely not to be recommended!

Update: Aldi Liefert contacted me again on January 8th, 2021. "You have received my return and the purchase amount would now be refunded to me."
Once again I was happy to have paid with PayPal. They transferred my money back to me 5 months ago.

This is where the somewhat unsuccessful attempt at an ALDI North online shop is hidden under the name "ALDI delivers".

The goods are still listed as "on the way" days after delivery and can therefore not be sent back!
Only after attempting a return do you get a telephone contact via a secondary function of the website, who reacts quite helplessly and says that (after waiting several days) you can receive a return label by email in about 2-3 days.
ALDI currently has "difficulties with email distribution".

Medion laptops with batteries are presumably used there, which can only be used for 2 hours at a time.
