Had an interview here a few months ago. The staff was cordial, pleasant to be around , and helpful. Although I did not get the job, I got to meet another contractor who enjoyed working with Alchemy Systems, their lead developer, QA team, etc. All were knowledgeable about their system and seemed to running a tight ship, and were honest about were they were. Glad to have met these people. Keep up the good work!

Strong leadership, dedicated employees, growing company, collaborative culture, and wonderful tech and training mission. Robyn Goddard and Gregoire Kebabtchieff are unshakable sharp leaders who are expanding Intertek Alchemy globally, and have the muscle to do it. Also, a new president has a clear global mindset, so the company has tons of growth opportunities for employees. Great place to work.

I'm a past employee of Alchemy Systems. I worked there for 3 years and saw a lot. Let's start with the old Alchemy culture. When I came on in 2016, I absolutely loved the culture and the team. I disliked the microaggressions, however. My coworkers name was mispronounced by a gentleman in HR so many times, I thought it was done on purpose. There was no designated space for her to pump, therefore she had to use an office that had a lock. That was no problem; however, when she left the office on her first day, she was greeted by the CFO who asked if she worked there.

Me, I worked on the support team. Support back then was divided into two teams. 1 & 2. Support 2 was basically looked at as the bottom feeders of the company, but that was until the BK team came in. This is when I saw the shift in the company. Our work areas were condensed for 'growth,' but 3 years after the workspaces were condensed, there were still no new bodies to fill those smaller, new spaces.

Now, let's talk about some misconduct I witnessed during my tour at Alchemy. BK's first manager was creepy (I honestly cannot think of a better word to describe him). The way he looked at women and his gestures were just odd. I personally always got weird energy from this person and my female coworkers at the time could attest to this. He was let go, though because he let 2 of his employees use each others HR credentials to log in for each other. I wonder what else he green-lit.

Let's talk about career growth. There is NO GROWTH at Alchemy unless you brown-nose or know somebody in other departments who can vouch for you. After 3 years I tried to move to different roles within the company and was denied. I am college educated and was trying to get a position in my field of study. Unfortunately, the gate-keepers at Alchemy only vouch for people they hang out with or compliment in passing. It's literally highschool. The gatekeepers also tell their work friends about internal positions BEFORE they are shared with the entire company. They groom the person they want, and it's obvious. I can count at least 4 occasions where people were promoted within and were told about the position by somebody on the other team. BK promoted somebody who was there for less than 6 months to an escalations specialist and this person is close to the direct supervisor of the team. The implementation team told a Support 2 rep about a position prior to it being shared with the entire company, and can you guess who they hired? Yep. The Creative team shared with a Support 2 rep that a position was open before it was shared with the entire company, and can you guess who they hired? The most recent occasion was today, an escalations specialist position was announced to the team when all the while, the individual who management has groomed was given the position. A coworker of color applied to this position and is extremely qualified, but was, once again, looked over.

This place literally made employees take a discrimination training where the content itself was DISCRIMINATORY.

The support team(s) steal reps from the black sheep of Alchemy (BK) and leave BK short-handed.

I'm not sure where the code of ethics is at Alchemy. I am just glad I no longer work there. It's very discouraging to wake up every morning to go to a place that does not appreciate your work, but say they do. It's discouraging to wake up to a place that promises growth, but only promotes 'favorites.'

I'd also like to mention that there is currently an employee who has Covid19 that is being forced to work because they don't have coverage.

I would not recommend this company to others. Well, I wouldn't recommend Support to others. I can't speak to the happenings in other departments.

Very nice-ish people. I miss some. I wish the best for everybody in Support - unless you brown-nose or somehow luck up, you're likely going to be there until you aren't.
