In the line of Cascais is one of my secret spots, I am a frequenter of space for many years, here I find tranquility ... I recommend the bruchetas and the imperial ...

O. M. G. What a find! This little shack is truly a hidden gem. The place itself is nothing to look at, but the viewwwwww is to die for! Honestly. I almost thought twice about reviewing it because I don't want more people to find it! It's likely to be overwhelmingly busy in the summer. Even in early April we had to wait inside to get a table outside. (Believe me, you don't want to sit inside....).

We had chicken salad with mango dressing, a prosciutto/mozzarella/lettuce/tomato sandwich, and white sangria. The bread is fabulous and the salad was light and fresh. We were too full for dessert but they seemed like huge portions and looked good enough to share. The sangria...yum! And such a delight to look at. I'll post a pic.

Our uber driver said he thought the food was so-so, but We disagreed. Our little lunch was really great. This is a go-to for brunch, lunch or to watch the sunset. I'm not sure if it's open late but it would definitely lose its charm without the view.

Prices were about right for the offerings, and we uber'd but this place isn't far from the train station, so you could walk if you want to.

I've been reviewing the rating. The place is extremely pleasant. What is much less pleasant is that it closes at 8 pm in the summer. Having arrived at 7:30 pm on one occasion, I felt pressured to consume quickly and leave the place at closing time.

A spectacular spot for the late afternoon.
The friendliness of the staff leaves much to be desired.
The schedule is also not the best, at midnight it is closed, it only opens at 12pm.

Free parking ... only in the area ... access to water with rocks - a small beach.
Bar - pleasant for its existence at least ... ha drinks, tables and tanks on the esplanade, serve food ... shade ...

And pleasant enough to spend 2 hours at lunch ... but not very tidy ...

We arrived by chance in this restaurant after a day at the beach. At the first impression, a wasteland, a building site, ultimately a small terrace, a magnificent view, calm, salads fresh sandwiches, a warm welcome, a treat. Thank you

Passing a few times, my lonely family is on the cliff by the sea! The scenery is beautiful and pleasant. If you like quiet, it is a good choice to have a drink here. Basically, it is consumed by local people. If you are a tourist, it is not easy to find this restaurant! You have to go to the main road to see!

It is always wonderful to go to Alcatruz. And it is always impossible to say what you liked best because the service is 5 *, the food is wonderful and the view is beautiful.

Ideal place to be by the sea, with shade, light meals and good frequency.

Prefect location but not reliable ..... it's not always open!

This is a fantastic spot whit an amazing view of the sea however it makes me frustrated when the food and the concept doesn't match with the location. There are only a few dishes that you can ask for and they are all healthy dishes! I understand the concept but I do think they should ad more options to the costumers. I just think it's a waste once they don't take advantage of the spot.

I was at Alcatruz at a birthday party. I loved the space, the high quality staff, very friendly and attentive, very good food and with a different presentation, for much better, than usual.
It has become a reference place for me!

The view is as good as it gets on top of the cliff! Usually kinda busy over the weekends and whenever a sunny days is out. Really good sangria and overall tapas! One of my favourite places when in the zone!

After the change is much worse. The benches are not comfortable, the tables run like taverns to share with the other customers next door (who in times of covid ...). What a bad taste and lack of sensitivity for the well being that is the soul of this business.
The place is spectacular for this bad taste, the old Alcatruz was much better

Only by experimenting does one really realize the charm of this space with an indescribable view of the sea. I strongly recommend it.

Spectacular views, eating almost at the edge of the sea. The food is based on salads and hamburgers, but very tasty.

Burger was good, the chicken sandwich very bad. Service was good but lots of flies on site which made the experience a pleasant one

Wonderful day ends to contemplate the sun. Very cozy winter days always with the company of my bitch. I really like it!

It serves well, it has some wonderful brigadeiros and now after we have coffee we can go to the fort now open

Burger tasteless and expensive, though not industrial. Accompanied only by a sample of raw purple cabbage and already with more than a day of cut ... I do not recommend the hamburger. The rest I will know at another opportunity.

Good view and like all good views in this country you pay!
