The Keukenhof is the MUST SEE Dutch bulb flowers garden and exhibition. Easy to reach from Amsterdam or Schiphol Airport. Open in 2019 until May 19th. So be there or be square. The theme this year is "Flower Power" and this is very attractively worked out with seventies style themes. Absolutely gorgeous now in the pleasant Dutch spring weather.

Gorgeous flowers, lots to see. Really enjoyed the colors. Family friendly place, with a petting zoo, playground, fun gift shops. We were there in peak tulip season (mid-April) and it was busy but not unpleasantly crowded. Worth the trip!

The Biggest flower garden in the WORLD! this is definitely true. There is enough to see and keep you busy for the entire day. They have great facilities for kids including a petting zoo. There are restaurants and hundreds of beautiful corners to sit and have a Picknick. This is a definite must see.

Fantastic place to enjoy in peace and colours of flowers. This 'European garden' was founded in 1949 imagined as an exibition of different flowers not only tulips. Every year about 7 million flowers are planted here. Everyone who loves the beauty of nature should visit this place. It's amazing.

Colder weather and being early in the season, there weren't many tulips blooming yet in the outdoor fields. Many lovely displays showcasing a variety of perennials in addition to tulips in the indoor pavilions.

World class gardens - A must see. Buy an OV card and take bus 90 from Den Haag train station. Avoid driving if you can. Pre-pay tickets online and bypass lines at the garden - just walk right in.

The gardens are certainly well kept and the range of tulips are trually unique, it can be very crowded but it is possible get around and enjoy the superb displays. If I rate this against Kew gardens then it certainly doesn't have the wow factor to compete.

Beautiful garden! So well maintained, lots of food options, restrooms, places to sit! Great for spending an afternoon! The only thing is, we came April 8, and many flowers have not bloomed yet (which was sad considering we came all the way from nyc to see this, but nature is unpredictable!).

I really love tulips, so if you like flowers and enjoy beautifully landscaped and scenery like places, this one is for you. The garden is huge, it definitely deserves a whole day. It gets crowded for its popularity, but they have multiple ticket selling points and they also have an automated system to buy tickets. They sell bulbs and flowers on the shops. They offer a boat ride around the field across from the windmill, which is one of the biggest attractions there. Is a good, relaxing trip!

It was very beautiful! Big garden with lots of indoor exhibitions as well. The only complaint I have is regarding the pent where goats and chickens were being kept. I think Keukenhof should have a maximum number of guests that can be there at the same time, as well as more personnel that can see when the guests mistreat the animals.

Well maintained garden with millions of flowers in different colors and shapes. Beautiful experience, though overcrowded when the gardens are in full bloom. Would recommend early entrance. Well worth a visit.

As part of our trip Amsterdam we spent a morning last April (or maybe early May) walking thru Keukenhof. From a guys's perspective this didn't sound all that fun/exciting at first. However, after walking around a bit, the colors and types of tulips (and other flowers) we're quite a site.

Visited here in April or May of 2009. Weather was great, flower displays were out of this world, especially a dragon display all out of beautifully bright and vivid coloured flowers.
The whole place was immaculately clean, with all the walkways clearly marked out. Even had the opportunity to walk inside a windmill whilst there.
Food available on site, with regular refreshments stands available too.

The garden is huge and beautiful but the best part was renting bikes and riding through the fields where they harvest the tulips. Just rows and rows of beautiful bright colors as far as the eye can see! It also allows you to see some of Amsterdam outside of the city which is full of lush green forests and charming picture perfect houses

Nice and pretty if the sun is out. Great mix of colors. But TOTALLY overrated.. it's just a park with flowers, really crowded and you have to pay for the entrance.. I can found other parks with tulips for free.

I was really surprised with the overall experience. You get to see thousands of different flowers plus all the types of tulips you can imagine, and you can even see the tulips fields from a lookout there is inside the gardens or from the Mill. The only con is that is a little crowded and some people does not respect their surroundings while you are trying to get a good photo.

Awesome

Breathtaking experience, definitely a must visit place. You can hire a boat too if you fancy that, they do boat tours. Please try to take a few reference points regarding where you park the car if you drive in. I belive there were a few thousand cars in the car park and I really struggled to find my car :)

Its worth a visit to Keukenhof, as its one of the very few places in the world where you get to see tulip fields on such a large scale. The best time would be from April to May end.
Please do buy the tickets online as it is a big pain standing in a line if you buy it at the spot.

It's something that's on list of every traveler. But if you have have your own vehicle or know the area a bit then I'd suggest going to the actual tulip farms than this botanical garden. The variety of flowers here is immense and you can find almost every color imaginable here. But if flowers don't excite you that much then just a quick tour in the place and the boat ride through the farms should be enough for you. Also make sure the weather is warm and sunny as only then would it be more enjoyable.
