What's not to like about the fair! The food is to die for, literally anything that you eat puts you a little closer to death. That's why I love $2 Tuesday and Thursday, a sample is all you need. They should sell $2 samples anyway for those who don't want a lot.

Entry ways are ridiculous and god doesn't help. I suppose if you are from the town you have no problem but seeing as how most people come here for events from out of town they might want to rethink entry gates and drives. Bathrooms are nice some even have showers.

Good guys car show was amazing! Maps would have made it more more helpful though as the layout was very scattered over the entire facility. Other than that, great parking and great spot for the show!! Plenty of areas for bathrooms, buildings to enter to cool down and shaded areas to observe various events. Will be going back for the next one!

All sorts of events held at fairgrounds from concerts to carshows. Almost impossible to pick one event to describe what happens here. Events vary on time of year and personal interests.
Good for antique shopping, scion shows guns, quilt shows , horse racing, picnics , Scottish highland games, music, you get the idea.
Check the website. You should find something you like and is of interest to you.

The Alameda county fairgrounds have really changed over the years. The Midway remains the highlight for most visitors and they always seem to get ew and interesting rides. But the newly installed gondola takes you to the other side of the fairgrounds where there are plenty of rides and attractions for younger kids. The livestock shows and horse racing are always fun to watch and the fair still atteacrs good musical talent. Yet the only real negative is the cost. Great food and rides but still very expensive.

We went last Tuesday and the admission for everyone was only $2.00. However, I guess they compensated for the low admission by skimping on the janitorial service as we have never seen such VILE women's restrooms in our lives! We tried three different ones and they were all equally horrible. Most of the bathrooms had no toilet paper, paper seat liners, and the paper towel dispensers (every one1) were jammed and wouldn't work. The paper on the floors was literally up to our ankles!

Beware and bring your own supplies if you plan to go!

Everything is very expensive but I went with my dad and my brother on father's day and had an awesome time. Parking was $10 and tickets $15 each but my dad got in free because he's a veteran. The rides are about $5 each and food and drinks are expensive ($14 for a 24oz can of beer, $8 for a soft serve cone) but there's a lot you can do for free once you're inside. The model train and agriculture exhibits are cool and the horse races are fun. There's also all types of deal days so look for them online.

Came here for the NorCal Night Market. $10 parking $5 entrance fee

There was a lot of cute booths for shopping and games, but the food lines are incredibly long......price for the food is way over priced. Imagine paying $12 for a glass of beer the size of Grande Starbucks coffee.

We enjoyed the music more than anything and of course seeing friends.
