Great beer, food price and Atmosphere Nate was friendly and informative. Will be a regular stop.

Great selection of beers, and I enjoy the IQ in particular. Went in for lunch and really enjoyed it. The pretzel was fantastic....great for sharing. I had the basic burger which was quite good, and the house-cut fries are a nice touch. My daughter, a vegetarian, had the pesto spinach flatbread,and enjoyed it.

Food was good. Service was slow and there was only one other table occupied. Waitress walked outside and made us wait for change
We had to get up and get it ourselves.

Great food and service, the appetizers are a little over priced for the portion size. I will be returning for more.

This place is miles ahead what it started as. IPAs on point, stouts on point, really killing it now

Food was great, beer was awesome, service was not good. Took over 10 minutes to get our beer and waitress was no where to be found.

Good food. Big burgers. I barely finished it all, and my big friends took home leftovers. Good beer. I tried two types at the bar and sat back at my table. The bar and tables aren't organized well for beer and tipping, so I separately tipped the bar tender.

Great place and great beer! The food at akademia is delicious and ranks way above most brew pubs I ve been to. Cool space too.

This is an updated review. The beer has gotten ALOT BETTER. Helles which is their take on on a lager is fantastic so is IQ (IPA). The beer has improved dramatically. They have a good selection, but I don't think they have quite figured out stouts and porters. They are quickly becoming one of my fav brewery's in the Athens area.
I like this place. Food is good, I haven't been disappointed yet. Perfect bar food. Servers are good. Events are good.

Went to Akademia last Saturday. The beer was amazing. I didn t have food because I didn t realize that it was also a restaurant and ate before I went. Service was great and everyone was friendly.

A fun atmosphere where you can get a flight to try different types of beer as well as grab a quick bite to eat. The staff is friendly and hard working. Glad we stopped on our way home.

Incredibly cool space that is very welcoming to both a younger and older crowd. Manuel is amazing and made our party of 26 feel like family. The bartenders were warm and attentive with great drink recommendations and the prices are unbeatable. They even have a wide variety of games available in their lounge area.

One of the top breweries in Georgia right now, and that's saying something. Every style I sampled was on point, but I'm especially impressed with their IPAs and sours. I had fantastic service at the bar (early evening of 4/28). They had a pretty good selection of canned beers and they do crowler fills, too.

We made our first visit to Akademia today, and we will be back! The food is not the typical pub grub; it is up-scale and delicious! To have quality food accompanied by outstanding beer puts Akademia at the top of my list! Add to that attentive, excellent service, and the new brewery on the block gets 5 stars!

Real nice atmosphere nice place to sit and talk. Seats at the bar plus plenty of tables. Several nice size TVs to watch a game or match. They serve food but we didn't try any any but the plates I saw looked good.
They have a good variety of craft beer that they make. You can order a sampler if u are not sure what u would like to try.

We loved Akademia.

First, the 4 ounces beers are a great way to taste multiple beer. I do that whenever I go there. Beer menus keep changing, but you will find a good selection of stouts, IPAs, etc.

This place has a vibe that I really adore. Look at the restroom doors. They tried to assimilate the Greek theme in as many places as they could. The place has its own personality. I encourage that.

There is not a lot of food items on the menu since this is primarily a brewing company as the name suggests. But what they had tasted good. Salmon was not as good as it can be, but it was still okay. Steak, burgers are very good.

Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Really enjoyable. Beer on tap, selection was great. Food looked amazing, unfortunately we had already eaten but it was tempting! Great outdoor spaces and indoor lounge plus restaurant feel dining and a long bar. Great mix of spaces overall.

I would gladly drink any of their beers. This is something that I can't say of any other brewery in Athens. They have an outside bar, inside bar, and tables for those dining in. They have flights, which is good, because you'll want to try them all. I especially recommend "Everything He Touches", which is a super fruity sour. The fish and chips are solid, the Buffalo chicken flatbread fetches a lot of food for the money, and my friend said that the wild mushroom pasta is great. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. One thing: bear with them as they're starting up. In a town like Athens where they're bound to be wildly popular, the staff will only get better and find their groove. They drew a huge crowd for one of their first days open and the staff had great attitudes, even while they were running around like crazy.

Great selection of beers, a really amazing bar menu, and great service. Definitely a must do in Athens for any out of town one time visitors.

Service was poor despite it not being a busy night. After getting our drinks, we waited and waited for our server to come back to our table so we could order food.she avoided eye contact with us and stood in the staff corner on her phone multiple times. There is not much of a selection on the menu and the food we got was nothing special. Disappointing experience, wont be returning

Great food, atmosphere & service! Live music was awesome. Although I didn't come for this, they are now doing teacher support nights which is so awesome!! Small menu, but they still manage to keep is diverse. If you're not a drinker, don't pass this place up because of that. Still good food and atmosphere if you like the bar feel & are comfortable around alcohol. Prices are very reasonable. A nice big space that doesn't feel too crowded.

Just found this place. We tried all the beers and we were pleasantly surprised. We will be visiting frequently. They had a food truck and music.

I've been here twice. Had a great time both times, however, both times, they were out of stuff. Both times they had no olives behind the bar for bloody mary's. (It seems olives can be bought right down the street at the grocery store!) In addition, we were there on Saturday for G Day and they were completely out of wings, at noon. How? They weren't busy at all. I ordered the breakfast tripletta (or something like that) and it was spectacular. The pimento cheese grits were great!!

Third time I've been here. The venue is great. Service is friendly and the food is fabulous.

We ve visited Akademia three times now since they opened (the most recent on Saturday) Each time we ve had great service & great food & drinks. I ve had the Caprese flat bread which rocks! My husband likes to venture out & try different beer so for him it s the perfect place & for me I find what I like & stick to it. I really like the Dome. We ll continue to frequent this place, we like it a lot!

We just finished a terrific lunch here in Athens. I ve been hearing about the Akademia Brewing Company for years on the UGA Sports Live podcast (I recommend that too), and I fiinally had a chance to bring the family. Zoe took care of us and my little girl really enjoyed the Sprite w/ some real cherrie s. Thanks, Zoe!

Great food and great beer. The decorations inside are also very cool. I definitely recommend trying it out.

Akademia has a wide variety of beers that you can order in flights, half pours, pours, etc. The beers are not all IPA's, which I appreciate. They also have a fun array of other beverages like meads and ciders. The food is pretty good, they have a few noteworthy vegetarian options.

First time coming here. Very large and lots of seats an TV's. I sat out in the garden and watched the day pass.. the service was good but I'm not needy. If your needy don't go here. Very chill environment.. the food is good. The bathrooms are clean. And the beer is cold...

Great beer and hands down the best bar food in Athens. Ask for Zoe, she's the best!

Overall a decent dining experience, with some misses on food. Everything was very salty, and fries had so much salt they had to be knocked on the plate to avoid cardiac arrest. Plate at finish was coated in coarse grain salt. Shrimp avocado rolls had a great avocado flavor, but little shrimp and shrimp taste. Burgers were both delicious, if again, overly salted. Attentive wait staff and a great ambience. Love having another micro brewer in Athens and wish them the best.

Good food and good beer. It had only been open a short while when I visited, but it looks like it will have a great future.

One of my favorite places in Athens! Love the cheese curds with Chipotle ketchup! They always have a great selection of draft beers from their own brewery (great hazy IPAs!). Delicious burgers on pretzel buns, with herb fries. Get the garlic aioli or ranch dipping sauce, so yummy! They have live music sometimes, but it's not loud or overpowering, gives a relaxed vibe. They also have a new outdoor patio that's great when it's warmer outside.

The beer was very good. We had a flatbread that was very good as well. The mushroom pasta was way too salty, as in almost inedible. The pork souvlaki was pretty sad. Some lumps of pork with bread as hard as a cracker.

I had the stuffed mushroom and it was great. Beer was good too.

Excited to have a new brewpub on the west side! We've only been there once but atmosphere is great, food is good. definitely plan to make them a regular hangout.
