Performed $7500.00 worth of work without a quote to the homeowners that are senior citizens. Made the homeowners believe it would cost them under $500.00 then when they were finished presented the bill of $7500.00 when the work was completed. Sent a younger man to the door to make the sale by saying they had "extra asphalt" and would sell it cheap. Manipulated the homeowners into feeling sorry for them to make the sale. The final product was not a quality finish. I have to agree with S E. They found their target when they pulled into my parents' driveway.

Great people who do great work. I assume the negative comments are coming from competitors; so don't believe everything you read on the internet--to easy to slam good, honest companies.

Blocked off the parking lot of a grocery store shopping center with hardly any way of anyone being able to maneuver around to get through or get out of the parking lot. So, they did not use good technique in rerouting cars in the lot. I spent a great deal of time just trying to get out of the "maze" and saw exasperated looks on the faces of other drivers as well. Also, AJ Asphalt was doing asphalt work behind the shopping center where cars can drive through but they did not block off that area at all and when I tried to drive through they told me to turn around. I tried to make a point about the fact that they did not block off that area, but I think my point was lost on them. I do not have direct experience with having any services by these folks, but I must say that they do not seem to have the skills needed to do adequate rerouting of traffic. Sure, the property management of the shopping center - or the grocery store management (whoever needed to address it) should have came out and spoken with the guys from AJ, but all in all it was a cruddy situation.

Very disappointed in this company. They performed work at both my office and home. Both jobs have not held up well. There is "alligator" cracking in both. At my home, my previous blacktop lasted for more than 20 years before being replaced. AJ Asphalt did a complete tear out and reconstruction less than 7 years ago - its a mess today. Furthermore, they don't stand behind their work as they indicate now that they are out of the residential business. Still, the commercial work was shoddy as well. I do not recommend this company to anyone, business or home! There are better companies that will stand by their work product.
