WARNING DO NOT USE THEM. Premium paid for sports insurance. When injured they won t cover anything by Medicare, even out of pocket expense. If you tell them you have private health insurance they only cover out of pocket. Out of pocket is only refunded at 75% of the total. Then I had to pay a $250 excess. This is an absolute RORT. What s the point, you re better off sticking with the public system or just using your own health insurance. These SHARKS will stop at nothing to prevent paying a claim. The worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Stay well clear of AIG. ZERO STARS is really what s deserved.

Pathetic company that goes by many names. Did not realise this until I had to make a claim. Even with everything provided to them it was still not enough. I defiantly would not recommend this company company.
It doesn't even deserve 1 star rating.. i just had to tick it to get this post out. its the worst insurance company i have ever dealt with, I have been awaiting for a claim to be settled for the last 6 months and even after repeated attempts of asking for an update on the claim seems like they have decided to go totally dumb on that .. there service is soo appalling that one could even think of going for a suicide. WARNING - people please stay away from this Insurer.
I recommend NOT choosing this travel insurance as they do not cover lost passports. I paid for the top most expensive cover thinking I was covered for everything associated with traveling. As bad luck would have it, i was on my way to the airport when I realized I didn't have my passport. After going back home and searching in panic everywhere, I could not find it. I missed my flight and was devastated as my flights and hotel booking was non-refundable and I did not have the holiday I so badly needed. After putting a claim in with AIG I somewhat felt some relief that I had opted for top cover and I would be reimbursed. A few days later I received an email from AIG stating I was not covered for my passport loss . I have since been diagnosed with depressionn and have been struggling to keep my job. I recommend anyone thinking about choosing AIG for their travel insurance, to choose another company as it is pathetic for any travel insurance company to not cover lost passports.
