Africa Adventure Company Review

My wife and I have done four Safaris in Africa including two Safaris with The Africa Adventure Company,(TAAC). The first was in 2014 in Tanzania where the highlight was the Wildebeest migration and Mara River crossing followed by the Gorillas in Rwanda, a one in a lifetime experience with those gentle gorillas. Then in 2016 in Tanzania (Serengeti again that has so many faces) and Zimbabwe with the extraordinary stay at Vundu Camp in Mana Pools. Our experiences were outstanding due to the careful planning on Kyle and staff at TAAC. There were no bad surprises only good ones. I would recommend It as we had great discussions with Kyle and Alison, all was perfect. I have posted reviews of the Places that we stayed at at Trip Advisor.

This was our 2nd trip to Africa but the first with African Adventure Co. Our next trip will be with African Adventure. You can not go wrong with them

We have used the Africa Adventure Company for two different trips to Africa (Tanzania and Botswana). I would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended.

AAC created a wonderful Safari trip for us. They listened to our goals for our trip and steered us to places that were perfect for us. They also patiently answered all of my questions and thought through all of the little details to ensure that our trip went smoothly and was memorable. We always felt completely safe with the tour operators they hired for us.

My husband and I used Africa Adventurer Company to book our honeymoon and we could not have been happier. We wanted to do a safari in the Serengeti, spend time beachside in Zanzibar and go gorilla trekking in Rwanda and they made it all happen. We wanted adventure, romance and fun and we got it all. They didn't have any prepackaged trips set up like this but I told them how much time we had and what we wanted to do and they got it done. Everything worked out perfect. Our flights, transportation, lodging, food (I'm vegan and my husband is vegetarian) were all set up for us and we couldn't have asked for anything more. It was a stressful time at work for me and I was planning the wedding as well and Africa Adventure Company made planning everything so easy. It was an incredible trip that we'll remember for a lifetime. All of our guides were extremely knowledgeable and professionals, our lodges, hotels and camps were amazing, I think my favorite was the Ngorongoro Farm House. Everything was perfect. Our family just got back from a trip to Africa organized by the Africa Adventure Company and we all only have good things to say about it. Not only was the trip amazing but the way it was organized to the last detail by Szilvia and her team was incredible. We were a group of 15 people and most of us arrived and left at different times which made the logistics of planning this Safari, City, Beach experience a real logistic nightmare. Szilvia, not only proved to be super efficient but to have a great sense of humor and the capacity to deal with 4 different groups coming from 4 different places, requesting all kinds of information and changing room partners according to arrival and departure needs. Despite all that, we all got our information and pre departure kit goods on time and not once did we encountered a problem throughout our trip. Attention was placed to every detail and all Lodges/hotels/services recommended by African Adventure were absolutely wonderful.

We ALL thank you for our wonderful vacation and we applaud you for a job well done.

The Africa Adventure Company did a great job planning our safari to South Africa! They recommended amazing safari camps, and planned everything perfectly including all pick-up, transfers, and Cape Town activities. They provided very detailed itineraries and answered questions quickly. I highly recommend and would use then again.

What can I say? Simply spectacular! East Africa, September 2016. Three weeks. Nairobi, Amboseli, Taragnire, Ngorongoro, southern Serengeti, northern Serengeti, Kigali, Volcanoes National Park (gorillas). AAC arranged everything, and it went like clockwork. First class all the way. Kyle Witten is the best! He listened carefully and tailored the perfect adventure. Mark Nolting has created something magical, where dreams really do come true.

Have traveled with them twice and planning a third in 2018. The very best in guiding you to your dream vacation. Top notch guides. Excellent customer service.

Used Africa Adventure Company 25 years ago when they planned our honeymoon to Zambia (walking safari) and Tanzania (Kilimanjaro). They were pretty small company back then. And they were EXCELLENT! Our relatives used them about five years ago. EXCELLENT. We just used them again for our 25th wedding anniversary to South Africa and Botswana. Would recommend them without reservation to anyone.

Dont choose any other company. I did research for 8 years. AAC tailored our trip, at much less expense than other companies. They were immediately responsive to questions, knew a lot about the different safaris and camps in Africa, and when we had to reorganize our trip due to illness, they were in touch every day.

I just recently returned from a solo trip to Kenya planned for me by the Africa Adventure Company. AMAZING!! I can't recommend them enough. They listened to what I was interested in seeing/doing and they made it happen. They are so detailed and organized and answered all my questions promptly. They even booked the international flights. AAC handles everything. From the moment I stepped off the plane in Nairobi, I had someone guiding me throughout the entire trip. As a solo traveler, that was extremely important to me. My wife and I have been all over the world. My wife has been to 44 countries and she booked our trip through them. They were extremely helpful and attentive to the exact trip specifications we were looking for. My FAVORITE COUNTRY EVER. Off topic, Iceland was my second favorite.

Last month I went on a safari booked through the Africa Adventure Company and it was fantastic! They were extremely thorough in their pre-departure pamphlets and e-mails. They included packing lists, recommended vaccines, an extremely detailed itinerary, general advice on where to eat and shop, amounts to tip, what to bring/leave behind, etc. I am logistics-oriented by nature, and they were really on top of it, which put my mind at ease. You can tell they've been doing this for a while. I did have a few trip-specific questions, which they were happy to assist with. Their sales representatives were very prompt and thorough with their e-mail responses.

When we landed, we were greeted by local tour company representatives when possible, who helped us navigate through the airports and customs, which was actually very helpful. The airports in the US and Europe are easy to navigate, but having someone help out in Johannesburg and especially in Tanzania was great. AAC also helpfully made sure that we had accommodations when our layovers were late at night, something I wouldn't have thought to do, but which helped me catch up on much needed sleep.

The safari was absolutely incredible. AAC gave us a few choices for lodging, and we ended up at the Pioneer Camp and Migration Camp in the Serengeti, the Tarangire Treetops in Tarangire, and the Sopa Lodge in the Ngorongoro Crater area. All of them were spectacular and unique. AAC's descriptions were spot on an helped us choose the best ones for our group. AAC also helped us book small side trips at a few of the camps. These included a night game drive (a must if you stay at Treetops since many animals are only active at night), a trip to a Maasai village, checking out the Olduvai Gorge, riding elephants, and more. Booking them individually would be a bit of a pain, but AAC handled it all beforehand.

The safari itself was simply incredible. Our guide was a real professional and we saw over 100 different species of animals. We spent the perfect amount of time in each park and didn't have to worry about the itinerary, how to get from camp to camp, etc. I normally plan my own trips and transportation, but letting AAC do it for me allowed to to fully relax and enjoy every moment of the trip.

TL;DR: Africa Adventure Company will plan a trip of the lifetime for you, choose them and you'll have a great time. I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could.

Phenomenal company with great service. They planned our safari trip to South Africa in 2012 and everything went perfect. Planning to go again and will be back with this company!
