Awesome location in Docklands! Always take my dog Freddie for a walk on the grass out front and he loves it. He even met Nicole Livingstone!! She was lovely.

Hopefully the mighty Blues can win more games in the years to come!

The AFL is a shadow of its former self... i used to love watching any game and enjoy the competition as a whole but the politics and bias towards Victorian and start up clubs have made it a unjust/unfair competition. Bring back real footy... not this wishy washy rule changing poor excuse for a game... AFL headquarters you should be ashamed

The only professional sport in the world that must...

The only professional sport in the world that must employ that many people on the rules committee they have to justify their job each year by changing the rules like a pack of kleptomaniacs that can't not fiddle with them. Rules of which are then left open to 'interpretation' meaning the exact same scenario can have two different outcomes not five minutes apart from occurring. Used to be a great game to watch but I'm officially done with it.
EDIT- Had the displeasure of sitting down and watching Rich vs ESS 28-5-17.....does anyone have any idea where one can download the rules that they intend to use for each game? The purely self serving propaganda media machine spews nothing but praise at EVERYTHING for they don't dare bite the hand that feeds but the game is becoming an abortion. How about the rules committee drop the sadistic psychopathic shtick they have against the umpires and fans and quit making them process psychological evaluations within the blink of an eye in regards to 'pressure' and the rest of the rules that are nothing but guesswork. If I hear the word 'INTERPRETATION' again, I'll throw up.

I have been here many many times over the last Eleven years. This stadium is in a great location surrounded by an abundance of public transport. Also increasingly surrounded by skyscrapers and other amenities and attractions. The lack of gate staffing is often a problem with large crowds waiting to get in even though the stadium is well built for large numbers to enter and leave quickly. Too many gates are unstaffed resulting in unnecessarily long wait times.
Q.Why build it with so many gates if you are not going to use them?
A. Main focus is on short term profit.
Exiting the venue is no problem even when full.
Inside is very good and well kept. Staff do their best under a regime which is bizarre in some ways. Like allowing a ticket company to do your ticketing for you even though you own the sport and the stadium. Possibly the worst ticketing system for sport in the world.
AFL does not understand many aspects of its own business especially this one... They consider the following an improvement...
Pre 1990 at many venues Bill can turn up to see a game at any time from 4 hours before the start to 3/4 time and purchase a general admission ticket at the same standard price at any venue and may or may not get a seat depending on availability. He may need to stand if he cannot find a seat. If the ground is at capacity he may be informed at the gate that all tickets are sold and Bill misses out.
Very simple, very easy and effortless.
2017.... Bill needs to do his research about the venue and the status of the game and who is playing, all of which can effect the price. AND if forced to prebuy tickets because it is declared a "reserve seat game due to sell out",
A large additional fee and restriction to a specific numbered seat up the back in the corner is allocated. When inside Bill sees that there are many thousands of good seats unoccupied throughout the game. At the end the attendance is on the screen 43,215 in a stadium that should have all 55,000 seats occupied.

These are the people who are meant to be the guardians of our great game. Instead they make incessant rule changes and pander to the television networks over the people who actually go and watch a game with mid week games on a school night and bizarre concepts like AFLX, someone was one something when that idea came up. We will still keep going because despite the AFL s efforts to destroy the game it is still the best on the planet.

Great

Why are the umpires allowed to get in the players faces. Tell them to keep arms length & to adjudicate the rules, not enforce their opinions. Solves the touching umpires problem.

Run bunch of corporate shills who turned our beloved national sport into nothing more then mind numbing entertainment. The match fixing bias ensures the best teams don't win, the most popular teams do, for no other reason then the bottom line.

That's okay though, it'll work in the short term, but eventually the masses will see this game for what it truly is, fake entertainment and realise the WWE is less scripted then some of these games.

AFL is a wonderful sport and since the inclusion of social media, and money. The sport has gone down the toilet. Pathetic free kicks for the slightest of pushes and shoves. Inconsistency has become the norm of the game, and due to the high pressure implicated from the various talk shows & press, the naturality of the game has been impeded . So many skill errors from players and umpires ; and the AFL review panel. All about the $$$$, it's only going to get worse.
