Our enlighten unit had not been reporting since July. We had tried resetting it a number of times over the last few months and I finally called your service department last week. Travis Lundsford called set up an appointment - verified the appointment and showed up. He very quickly figured out it was the "Stick" that goes in the unit that had failed. He replaced it and checked to make sure everything was connected and working. He did a very efficient and professional job and no charge. Affordable Solar is truly a well run company with great customer service.

Be careful with this company if you are planning to sell your home and you have to get your roof done. Read the fine lines in the contract and don't believe the representatives that seem to say anything just to get a sale.

The reps for this company won't help you either

I purchased two (2) systems from Affordable Solar and spent in excess of $80,000. The system at my business shorted out due to one of their "third party" subcontractor installations. They made it right after much conversation but not without a little defensive posturing at first. Now I've requested a third project from them and they are non responsive to my calls. They must be too busy but you would expect that they would tell you that upfront instead of ignoring requests; especially for repeat customers.

Like a lot of people I wanted solar and didn't really know a lot about getting it. I did an inquiry on the internet and within minutes I received a call from Anna at Affordable Solar. This has been one of the easiest, most stress free, things that I have done. Anna and her team took care of everything from start to finish, quickly & professionally, keeping me in the loop every step of the way. Anna explained everything that were going to do, and why, in a way that I could understand. If you want solar, Affordable, is the way to go. We couldn't be happier!! Thank you!

Highly recommended. We initially had a bad experience with a PPA lease door-to-door company that left a bad taste in our mouths. Another company (not Affordable Solar) came by to do door to door but this time you get to own the panels. We went shopping around and found Affordable Solar. The agent we dealt with, Anna Styles, was responsive and personable and took care of all of our needs. The process is seamless and professionally handled. The panels are a good value. Seeing the solar power production on an app and knowing the panels cover all your electrical needs (and then some) is something else.

We can heartily recommend Affordable Solar for residential solar installation. The folks at Affordable Solar worked with us every step of the way, from providing very understandable explanations to helping us through our HOA permitting process. The installation and inspections went very smoothly. Our residential solar installation has been producing for about sic months now, and we couldn t be more pleased, and at a very reasonable price. They also helped us with the NM tax credit.

I gotta be honest, this process has been somewhat lack luster. I spent a lot of money on this new solar system with a promise that my very high electric bill would be no more that 180/month during the summer months based on what was suggested. It made sense, and makes sense right now, however, looking at energy production so far, that is not going to be the case. In addition, once installed, I have $3,000 worth of panels that are not functioning. The response received was that they were very backed up, and would get a service call scheduled ASAP, then I was told after a few weeks they were in contact with Enphase and waiting on a response. It is disappointing at best, to purchase $40,000 in solar to have it not work and be told that now I m on the back burner, after they have my money. I can t imagine purchasing a new car that was getting 10 miles to the gallon instead of the 30 promised, and being told that they were busy and would get to it when they had time. I would expect better considering the other reviews posted. Not a happy customer.

I highly recommend Affordable Solar to anyone who is planning to have solar panels installed. Great company with great customer service! I have been 100% satisfied with the system that they installed on my roof in 2013; it's performed flawlessly. Then when the time came to re-roof my house in April of this year, they came back and removed the system so that the roofers could do their thing, then they returned and reinstalled everything as soon as the roofers had finished. In addition, I had expressed roof weight concerns to them late last year, particularly over the garage where 9 panels are installed and the ceiling was cracking a bit. In response, they promptly sent their structural engineer to my home to check the situation. She determined that there was no significant structural issue with the garage roof; just some slight sagging that's probably normal in a 25 year old flat roof. Nevertheless they worked closely with me, at my request, to find ways to reduce weight when the system was reinstalled after re-roofing. I am SO glad that I chose Affordable Solar eight years ago! (Interestingly, the other two companies that I was considering back in 2013 are both no longer in business. So be sure to select a top company that will stand the test of time!)
