I don't think $200 for 3 small pages of translation is affordable. $200 might not be pocket change for some people. I was quoted $150 for translations then received a call telling me that it will be $200. Due to time crunch, I had no other option but to go with this company. Multiple times I've told them the urgency of these translations and that I want them done ASAP. I still ended up waiting a week. And on top of that I had to revise what they translated (they forgot to put a space between two words). Back in Washington state I could have had these documents translated for $20 a piece and right there on the spot. Not worth $200 for these translations. I could have used Google translate with better results. I just paid $200 for a stamp. These guys should change their name.
I just received an Interpreter training called Bridging the Gap to follow with national certification. It has been one of the best trainings I have got along my professional life. People from different nationalities, backgrounds, and cultures conformed the class group where each one of us have succeeded with the training final results to move on as Interpreters. The Instructor is highly qualified. She made sure we got the best out of the training to positively applied in the professional interpretation field.
The fire and EMS community in Cincinnati recently needed a 2-page medical instructions document translated into Spanish, French, and Arabic. The document serves as a handout for paramedics to leave with patients with a confirmed or probable COVID-19 infection to provide them with clear instructions on what to do if they are to stay at home rather than go to a hospital. We needed the translations fast, and we had to be sure they would be accurate. Affordable Language Services stepped up to the challenge and provided us with the documents quickly. Thanks to their efforts and their support of our local EMS agencies, the documents were available for crews to hand out to our non-English speaking patients when needed most. As the Assistant Chief of one of the larger fire departments in the area, I appreciate their professionalism, responsiveness, and how easy they were to work with.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! They don't know how to put right ASL interpreter to fit in ANY assignment!! They do always tent sending interpreter without look their skill and training. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
