Immediately after all the rest of the line arrives, which was in the last places, each with its own luggage. I ask the Ryanair staff for explanations and they tell me that they have nothing to do with it, but it is a decision of the Bologna airport to proceed to boarding for only a piece of a row taken as a sample from the central part. But what's the point of all this ?? People who were sitting up to the last moment find themselves with baggage on the plane and we who have been standing in line have to risk and take on baggage. They also recommended that we remove valuables. Shameful !!!!!!

Medium / large intercontinental airport. It is very clean, quite modern, there is no shortage of shops and there are many dining options. The bathrooms are very clean and new. BY 2025 THE FIRST STAGE OF THE ENLARGEMENT WILL FINISH. THE ENTIRE ENLARGEMENT WILL END BY 2030.

Not impressed by the queue at security, all the broken charging points and the expensive food and drinks (a small bottle of water 2.30). All in all this airport has neither the advantages of small ones like Rimini (smaller crowd, short queues, proximity to the town/train station, the beach, etc.) nor the facilities of a big one like Milan.

One of the worst Italian airports! Total lack of parking spaces. Practically if you don't book it is impossible to find a place. Safety checks are those of 50 years ago. One has to strip everything to pass control. They should invest in the control machinery now used in almost all European airports. Unfortunately I often fly from here for work and every time is a real nightmare.

Small but efficient, the staff is helpful and friendly. I had no difficulty as I read for other travelers in their ratings.

The airport is small in size, but is well organized and offers good connections to the city center.

Bad airport for speed at security checks and baggage delivery on arrival

Everything works pretty well, except for baggage recovery. Today 50 minutes of waiting next to the tape, and there were no other arrivals. I had a vacation with 7 flights, including 5 with baggage reclaim. Times always within 20 minutes apart Bologna.

Slow as a mass and disorganized ... From the third world!

This airport was thought out with a rear end instead of a brain when designed. All the gates are right next to each other. The restaurants, stores, and rest areas are not comfortable nor have a newspaper place after passing security. One of the worst airports I've been too.

Well served with flights to countless destinations. Functional and convenient to reach with many shuttle services from other cities in the Emilia Romagna region.

I have travelled relatively extensively and I have to say this is the worst airport I have ever travelled to. Took about 2hours to get through passport control with no one taking control and all the passengers staring around hopelessly. On departure it was even worse with 2 check points open for security with two totally clueless officials manning them. About a decade behind the other airports I have experienced. About a century behind the rest of Europe.

What to say? it is the airport of bologna. a good point of contact. However, it is medium in size, although it has been growing in recent years. the shops inside are not many, but sufficient. There are also bars and places to eat. Parking quite expensive. There is the possibility to enjoy for 10 minutes free of kiss and fly, but after it costs 3.70 per hour. little connected by public transport. to reach it for now the car is the best vehicle. expect the departure of the elevated train

I have been treat very inappropriately by an airport employee call Cristiana/Cristina working today in the airport service supporting handicap person. This is a shame this person treat airport costumers so bad while so many other airport employees has been very nice and helpful.

The airport is clean and well organized, families even have the right to priority passage for security checks ... Always convenient!

Beautiful, functional, not very chaotic. I like the fact that there is not so much noise and zero people running crazy.

The only airport where you pay for the luggage trolley 2 euros !!!!
Taxis are very convenient and cheap and take between 13 and 17 euros for 4 or more people to reach the center and the station. Much better than that 6 euro bus per person where they fill you up in the heat for 40 minutes of real suffering !!

Everything is very basic. Airport facilities need to be cleaned more often. Unfortunately if you're not Italian staff isn't going to treat you in the best way.

When paying for tax free on the lower floor, the slowest cashier in all of Italy came across. The service is just AWESOME! created a queue and did not even hint that there is a cash register at the top. And in general, what's the point, having receipts to show the goods? Everything is simple and convenient in Rimini. And parking is free for only 10 minutes (what can be done during this time ??), and then as much as 19 . This is normal?? We bring them money anyway, but it's not enough for them ..

Local airport, looks more regional than international.

Small airport however organized in a very strange way ( check-in counters placed at a different side of the airport than the security check...). Maybe I had a bad luck but for my connecting flight within EU I had to go thru the security once again (transfer door closed with a board "out of order"...)

Airport too small and old for a city like Bologna ... it should be renovated and modernized ... cmq is functional and efficient

The airport is fairly organized and intuitive if it were not for the porters who have no respect for luggage. It is the second trip that destroys my suitcase. And a little bit I'm tired of it. Needless to say, if you make a claim, you just waste time. Nobody answers you. And as always happens in Italy, the fault is never of anyone. Most likely, unless there are more than favorable prices, I will change the airport. Then they also show that they are interested, they give you a nice form to fill in with your complaint and then ....... so much to make you waste more time .... You receive nothing but silence .... I advise you to put suitcases in hold only from Bologna if you have a hand trolley.

Nice airport, if possible to speed up I would add 1 or 2 boarding piers. It is outrageous that we have to shell out 1 for a cart, while in all the airports of the world it is free. Medium size airport. Clean and well laid out. Could do with more comfortable seating and more of it. Shops are over-priced. Nowhere to fill your water bottle.

Avoid this airport AT ALL COST!!!! Extremely slow and you are most likely to miss your flight. We arrived at at the airport 11am and we only reached the boarding gate at 230pm! Our flight is 335pm.

VAT refund is totally ridiculous, have to wait 3 hours before the flight time in order to process? Only one counter is available and long queue. To get the electronic stamp took 20min yet don t allow to process the refund when we approached the counter because it s not 3 hours prior our flight!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the stamp and proceeded to the Travelex to get our money back! Guess what, administrative fee was collected by the individual tax free company and Travelex offered very low exchanged rate!!!!!!!!

Again when we went for immigration clearance, 2 counters were opened for all passports holder and the officer attitude was extremely rude and terrible. Is it my fault to have my surname with one letter U?????? Keep asking and asking to clear the immigration. At the signage, it was written Taiwan passport is allowed to use the electronic gate yet the staff just directed to All Passport lane.

Fine, after series of unpleasant experience, we arrived at our gate. Male toilet without urinal bowl???????? Jet bridge is not provided and had to take shuttle bus to reach the plane.

Totally sucks and I really urged you to STAY AWAY THIS AIRPORT AT ALL COST!!!!!!!

It is impossible to contact the lost and found office by telephone for information on the delivery of lost luggage. 30 attempts with no response. Bad service, indeed zero.

With all its shortcomings, I always find it to be one of the most accommodating Italian airports ever.
An airport should be judged by comparing it with its competitors: Linate is embarrassing (old, dirty, badly maintained), Malpensa (in another size category) is horrendous (it was bad just done, today is unwatchable), Leonardo da Vinci is not a airport from western country. So Bologna (with its always very slow baggage collection service) in the Italian average is a great airport.
