They billed with a fork and were very weak when it comes to ethics. Definitely not recommended!

Very unprofessional in relation to clients. Was sued after one of their partners represented me in a visitation case. The lawyer was convicted in the disciplinary committee. Steer clear of these.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of service I received from Hjort. Ranging from excellent technical expertise to a rigorous, customized approach, their service was pivotal in winning my case as a private client. They are without a doubt industry leaders.

Used them in connection with a child distribution case. The problem was that they were not at all concerned with solving the case, but with writing as many hours as possible. I was constantly advised not to settle. The conflict escalated properly on the basis of lawyer Christensen. If you are looking to take the other party, they may be the right agency to use, but if you want to spend as little money as possible and come up with an amicable solution, I would recommend using someone else.

PS they reduced the invoice quite sharply, after I pointed out some extra hours they had spent - therefore get an extra star for it.

They billed me with a fork. When they were informed that the Law Society's Audit Committee would be contacted, the bill was suddenly halved ...

We used one of the partners of Hjort in a courtcase in Norway (we are based in Norway). That was a big mistake. They were more interested in invoicing us for their services, and not to close the case. We started to use one of the biggest law companies in Norway instead, and the case was solved within two days - with 1/10 of the cost we used at Hjort. They might be better for private people (which is their focus), but we would not reccomend this company for bigger companies. We are working with these issues everyday, so we think we are quite competent in finding out which company is good and which is not. I do not think Hjort knew about our cometence - if so they should have acted differently.
