This place is an absolute NIGHTMARE. On my 2nd day there it took a counselor walking by my room and seen me on the floor throwing up and shaking uncontrollably to have someone actually help me. This is not a safe place for addicts. Staff is only there as a paycheck. Treated me like I wasn t even human. Go to any other program but this one

My father just got back from a 2 week stay. Iv already mourned the death of my father. Alcohol has dysroyed his head and body. Not only is he an alcoholic but he suffers from major depression. He s been in and out of detox s and sober houses the past 4 years. He s aware of AA the sobriety stuff- he was duel diagnosed. Adcare is for duel diagnosis. I m not even sure if he saw a psychiatrist.
What I do kno is within the 24 hours he s been home he has drank a quart of vodka, got into a car accident and has now requested me to shave his head? He might have detoxed of booze but he needs mental help.
You drove my mentally unstable and physically disabled 78 year old father to woods hole for the boat to Martha s Vineyard. You pretty much dropped him off at the liquor store! How nice and supportive. Adcare does not care about the well being of client. Throw some AA books at them. This is a quack facility. You could care less about the client. How can you send anyone home without an afterplan? I am absolutely disgusted with how you so called professional s treated my father. Your choices affected my entire family. Children are involved now. My father saw a therapist named LILLY LILLY has received quite a few voicemails from my family. Conveniently she has not responded. I m disgusted with adcare.
Having your dad look at you with his drunk sloppy eyes, his inabilities to have a normal conversation is the most painful thing to watch.you never should have discharged him . Especially without his family s knowledge.

Thanks adcare. Back at square one ..

Sobriety has changed my life and has opened many doors for me. Thank you AdCare! The program and staff are extremely helpful in providing me the tools for long-lasting recovery. AdCare has been with me from the start with inpatient detox, rehab and have been continuing with the men's early recovery group.

I have attended AdCare hospital in Worcester on 4 or 5 occasions through my addiction history.. my last visit I attended AdCare detox for 4 days and made a choice to continue my detox at home.. it was a choice I made due to my anxiety issues and being locked down in a room during covid pandemic.. my previous experience before that was not so great and I expressed that with that staff and that was resolved.. I did well in my home detox and I'm currently in my third month headed into my fourth without opiates.. I thank ad AdCare for the opportunity and the care that I received and will continue to carry on with the knowledge and expertise I received there..

This place started out nice. It looked clean from outside, and the lobby was very professional. After a few hour wait, I was checked in by a young Spanish girl from Lowell who was so nice, down to earth and made me feel at home. When I moved on to the intake process, I was processed by a young lady named Jamie...really tall, straight black hair( absolutely beautiful), who was super nice, and made me feel like we were old friends. I was so impressed so far.
