Adagio Djay Entertainment Review

Adagio was recommended to me by my sister who used them for her wedding back in 2015. I could not be happier that I chose to hire them as well for my own wedding reception! From planning my event with Anna to having Connor as our DJ I had an excellent experience and have nothing but positive things to say about the whole process. Connor completely understood the vibe we were trying to create for our event and executed it perfectly. We even received multiple compliments from guests on how good the music was!

I just want to say that our DJ Troy was absolutely FANTASTIC and exceeded my expectations in every single way. He was so calm and courteous throughout and the way he interfaced with the catering staff was an unexpected bonus that was truly appreciated. Additionally, my friends packed the dance floor all night and are still talking about what a great time they had dancing! Troy really listened to the type of music we requested and everyone had an amazing time. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better reception and I recognize that Troy played a huge part in that so thank you!

Adajio was a great DJ service that gave us everything we needed and more. They had a very easy to use website that helped us plan the event. The best part was our DJ, Alex Robbins. He was an excellent DJ and helped us create an excellent playlist for our wedding. If you go with Adajio, ask for Alex.

From the moment we met with Jay, we knew Adagio was going to be the perfect fit for us and our wedding. We also used Adagio for our wedding invitations and they turned out perfect! Mike was our DJ for our wedding on 9/27/2014. We had Adagio DJ service for our ceremony and reception. My husband and I could not have asked for a better DJ. Mike made sure he had all the names correct for our grand march, he kept the dance floor full with all the right music and was a pleasure to work with. During the night I had a last minute request to pull a song and he did what he needed to do to get the song and play it. We worked with Adagio for our October 2018 wedding. Adagio came highly recommended by our venue and they did not disappoint. We had very clear communication right after we booked and the online client portal we were provided made planning this part of our day so smooth and so much fun! We were able to fill our the forms periodically and could change and add requests right up until our wedding.

After we filled our most of our client portal, we were matched with premium DJ Connor. What an amazing match for us and perfect personality for the vibe of our wedding! He reached out to us about a week before our wedding and we were able to discuss our wedding and get to know his style and he got to know us. Connor went above and beyond to give our wedding the vibe we were hoping for and truly enjoyed the day right along with us. Our guests loved how much he enjoyed the music he was playing for us. We had young and old all out on the dance floor with the variety of music he was able to piece together so perfectly. Music was an important detail to us and Connor was phenomenal at meshing our style while gaging what would keep our guests out on the dance floor.

I can't say enough great things about Adagio! They were great to work with from the moment I sent my inquiry to them. They were responsive, professional, timely in their communications and they truly listened to what we wanted in a DJ. Adagio provided music for our ceremony as well as for our reception. Our DJ, Mike, did a great job with keeping our guests dancing all night long. I really liked the online planner which allowed us to select songs that were must play as well as songs that were on the do not play list. Everything about our experience with Adagio was positive! I highly recommend them!

Michel did an absolutely perfect job! The dance floor was packed the entire night...seriously...the ENTIRE night! He played great music and everyone said they had a blast and danced their socks off! My husband and I want to go through the reception again so we can relive the awesome party!!

I had a positive experience with Adagio. Krista, our DJ, was excellent and within moments of talking really grasped the feel we wanted for our reception. She also worked perfectly with live vocalists for our ceremony and was just a great fit all around. The planning process was simple as well.

Adagio was great from the start. We used their online planner to plan the small details and music requests for our wedding ceremony and reception. This allowed us to think each detail through over time, and allowed for changes in our plans up until closer to the wedding. After the online planner was completed, we got a wonderful call from the staff of Adagio with tips and opinions on what we had submitted on the online planner. We were assigned our DJ, Drew, a few weeks before the wedding. We met with him in person, and went over every small detail of the wedding planner, and made note of any changes we had. I have nothing but great things to say about Drew. He was so professional, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. He arrived on our wedding and day and was all set up in a timely matter. He helped our wedding ceremony and reception go so smoothly. You could tell Drew was passionate about what he was doing, and was great at it. Adagio DJ services were outstanding, and we're grateful we chose them for our wedding. They were recommended to us, and we were pleased with their service from the start. Their online music gallery was comprehensive, and the online wedding planner was easy to navigate. Our DJ, Krista, was great. She made sure to play our top choices, and everyone had a blast. We had to kick people off the dance floor at the end of the night because no one wanted to go home! Thanks Adagio!

Adagio was a great choice! We loved working with Anna, she made planning a piece of cake. We got so many compliments on the music and dance. Anna kept the dance floor full for our whole 4 hour dance, a real feat with only 70 guests. We can' t recommend adagio and anna enough. 11/10 stars.

Adajio made it easy and fun to have a great reception in coordination with our hotel venue. The entire event was flawless and the DJ went a long way in making our event truly special. From the easy planning where we initially struggled with song selection but were guided thru the process, to the event itself which was perfect, our DJ made the event memorable. I distinctly remember saying with some hesitation prior to the ceremony that I was concerned about whether our music selection was appropriate, he simply said, "I've got it". 4 hours later, we wondered where the time went and could not believe that the dance floor was never empty. We had Zach and he was SO much fun! I mean, I knew we'd get along when he said he majored in partying in college. We didn't have children at our wedding so I told him anything goes. He was very respectful and looked like he was having just as much fun as the guests. We always had people on the dance floor and he was very adaptable to changes. Would recommend if you have a rambunctious crowd!

There was a time during the reception that I wanted to shout out, "The Bossard/Chapel Wedding Reception, where the hits keep coming!" There were times I was dancing and I said to myself, "Okay, no matter what, I'm going to sit down after this song, because I'm so tired and out of breath." But then Katie would play another long string of my favorite dance songs! What's a bride to do?! There are a lot of pictures of me towards the end of the reception dance where I was beet red from dancing so hard! We had so, so, so much fun at our wedding reception dance thanks to Katie, as did our guests. Clearly, Katie is very insightful into what kind of people we were - she was very attentive to which kind of songs we enjoyed and what was appropriate for dinner music/dance music. The way she worked with our guests was so pleasant and professional! I had so many people on the dance floor that I never thought I would see there and it made me SO happy!
I am a musician, so the music was really really important to me. Adagio has a tool that allows you to choose "Must Play" "Play if Possible" and "Do Not Play" from their very VAST library of music. And if there wasn't music in the library you wanted, well you could bring them what you did want and they'd play it. It's an easy to work with and fun system they have. :-)

We had Dan dj my sister's wedding. I was the matron of honor and I had a small request for him to help me with my speech and play some music. he was very friendly and accommodating to my request. He kept the people on the dance floor all night. Very fun night. Thank you very much and I highly recommend them.

We hired Adagio as the DJ entertainment for our daughters wedding last weekend. Troy was our DJ. This company handled us with professionalism, reliability and kind support. To top off their stellar customer service, our DJ was the best we have ever seen. We received so many compliments about the event and the reception. Troy was in charge, kept the dance floor full all night with his intuitive choice of songs, was participative but not invasive and was entirely responsible for the success of the night. More than anything, Troy was engaged and FUN! We cannot say enough about this company and Troy in particular as a DJ. Everything leading up to our big day was very easily managed with Adagio's website. Our DJ contacted us shortly before our wedding to finalize plans. The day of, everything ran smoothly as possible! We highly recommend Adagio! Our guests still talk about how fun our wedding dance was!

Adagio Djay Entertainment was a FANTASTIC part of our wedding!!! Jay, the owner, was great to work with until we had our DJ, Troy, assigned to us. The service was A++; Troy spent time with us on the phone going over details of names, schedule for the day, song preferences, style of wedding, etc. He made great suggestions and filled in on all the things we hadn't even thought about (cocktail background music/dinner background music, etc.) We were the first-ever wedding at a brand new venue, and you could tell that Troy really cared about everything going smoothly; he arrived for our wedding really early, introduced himself to people, and all was beautiful! He even read the crowd well and approached us about what he thought we should pivot to, and when. Also easily added some more recent faster-paced dancing Country songs that weren't in their library. We had special music that needed to come into the ceremony part, and Troy gave us his personal e-mail, cell #, and facilitated to make sure we had peace of mind in getting this part done before the day of the wedding.

He was extremely professional, very well-spoken in front of a large group, and did a GREAT job helping the transitions from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to speeches, to dessert, to dance. And their event planning website that the Djay used to help service our event was great: easy to add wedding day detail, request songs, etc.

For those of you just beginning the daunting task of planning a wedding and finding all of your vendors, save yourself some time on the Djay search and just book Adagio (and Troy!) right away! We've had so many people comment that our wedding was so fun, comfortable, and the best wedding they could remember being at, and Adagio Djay was a huge part of it. At my friends wedding we had a freakin' blast! It's very rare you see a DJ actually get the entire crowd engaged and hoppin' around... Maybe the booze helped.. Either way, this was a blast and the crew at Adagio was mint!

I just had to share that our experience with Adagio and Gary was AHHMAZING for our wedding last Saturday at Carlson Towers. I can't even begin to tell you how perfect Gary's personality mended with ours. He played music our guests loved, everything was on point with our ceremony music, he announced the names beautifully and had such a wonderful energy.

A DJ at a wedding can often make or break people's enjoyment level. Lucky for us, we picked right by picking Adagio and by Adagio picking Gary for us. He truly helped contribute to a perfect day.

Fantastic all around! From beginning to end they were easy to work with. Signing the contract, picking the music, working with the DJ were all simple. DJ was on time, only took 30 minutes to set up and followed our guidelines the entire night. Not a negative thing to say about them.

We decided to go with Adagio because we had been to a few weddings that they were the DJ at and the dance floor was always full.

We specifically went with Zach as our DJ because he was the DJ at the weddings we attended. He plays a great mix of music and plays the crowd very well. Zach had a ton of energy and truly looked like he was enjoying our wedding. We received numerous compliments from guests about our DJ and how great the music was.

Adagio does a great job of getting to know what you want from your DJ and music. Their online event guide and forms works great. We were able to give a preferred song list, select genres we wanted played and easily list our specialty dance songs for Father/Daughter, mother/son, etc. It is a pretty easy to use online tool that made things very smooth on the day of our wedding.

We also had a great experience talking with Jay, who was nothing but accommodating. Pricing is very reasonable and you definitely get your moneys worth when you see all of your guests enjoying themselves and dancing.

This review might be almost to perfect but we truly had a great experience. My wife and I have attended other weddings before and after ours where the DJ only plays current music or only older music and not everyone gets to enjoy dancing. We wanted all of our guests young and old to enjoy themselves. With the ability to specifically tell the DJ what types of music and songs we wanted and their great accommodations, we couldn't be happier with our experience with Adagio.

I work for an organization that was throwing a party for a 6 year-old boy, and we thought a DJ would be a nice extra touch. Even though the party needed to come together in only a few weeks, Jay was extremely helpful and made it happen. We had everything planned in a matter of a couple days, and the event was a huge success. They were very punctual, professional, and adapted the music to what we wanted. Overall, we had a great experience!

My husband James and I were married on August 30th, 2014 at Assumption Church in Saint Paul and held our reception at Southview Country Club in West Saint Paul. We used Adagio DJay as our music vendor and Gary was absolutely phenomenal. Adagio did our wedding in November of 2015. They were fantastic! Nothing but professional from start to finish. Our DJ kept our guests dancing all night and not just some of our guests but almost all of them were out on the floor dancing all night! When hiring vendors an immediate rapport was important to us, and that is what Adagio provided. We were given the information, but we're not pressured by any means to make our decision right then and there. The meeting with Adagio was very comfortable and enjoyable. When planning a wedding, at the end of the day it's important to make sure both you and your partner are happy with your vendor decision; that is how we felt with Adagio.

One of the things we enjoyed about Adagio is they had many DJs available that they match specifically with the theme/feel of your wedding. This was reassuring for us that if something happened with the DJ assigned to us we wouldn't be left high and dry, but instead would have someone else available. Adagio was the first and last DJ service we considered, we ended up not looking for other ones at our meeting and signed our contract the same day! Our DJ was Troy, who we had our initial meeting with. Troy- Rock on my friend! You were fabulous and we received many comments on what a great DJ we had, and also how the Rap/R&B throwbacks were frickin awesome!!!

I was very leary of hiring a DJ for my wedding. My DJ experiences at other event haven't always been wonderful and I really wanted a live band. However, after making the decision to hire Adagio DJ services and experiencing their work I was more than impressed. They were very easy to work with to set up the event. I filled out an event profile and put a lot of music i had found online, but was unsure if they would be able to use it. When I finally talked with our DJ, Marlon, he was very easy to work with and had no problems at all finding and using all the music I had requested. I was afraid of some random DJ who could potentially ruin our wedding, but Marlon we so professional and helped to make our day seamless. I almost felt like he was a wedding planner as he kept the night on schedule and worked out each and every kink with the event venue without any of use having to do a thing. He provided music for the ceremony, reception and everything in between and it was perfect! Everyone said the dance was wonderful, the music was great, and the DJ did an excellent job. Everyone was very impressed. In the end, hiring a DJ wasn't a bad choice and ended up being one of the highlights of the whole wedding experience.

We are so happy we went with Adagio for our DJ and lighting! Joel completely understood our style as a couple and kept the dance floor packed the whole night! The lighting was absolutely stunning for both the dinner and the dance! Adagio s easy to use online tool made planning a breeze!

Our entire process with Adagio and our Djay Drew was, lack of better words, SEEMLESSLY PERFECT! From the very first meeting with Drew to the final moments at the reception he really took note of us as a couple and provided us with the best memories and reception I could have ever imagined! Some stand out moments include, 1. A well designed and organized website to help build a perfect list of songs for every moment of the night. 2. Song selection! There wasn't a song Drew didn't have! We had DJ Dan for our wedding and we cannot say enough about how he went above and beyond to make our day perfect! He had a perfect balance of letting the night roll, sticking to the schedule, and rolling with the changes. The music was just right, many of our guests have commented on how great the DJ was, we had people on the dance floor the entire time! Adagio as a whole was so easy to work with and everyone made us feel heard and valued.

The day of our wedding was a complete success, and looking back, there isn't a thing that we would do differently. Everything went perfectly, from the weather to the music to the food and dancing. I was so relieved that our DJ (Troy) was so experienced and was able to direct us appropriately so everything went smoothly. The dance floor was packed all night long, and so many people told us how awesome the music was! We are so happy we chose Adagio to handle our music! They are fantastic!

We chose to work with Adagio based on their glowing reviews and reputation in the Minneapolis area and we were not disappointed. The event manager immediately put me at ease by demonstrating his working knowledge of our venue (Mill City Museum) and the challenges it presents for sound. After explaining what we wanted, he set us up with Preston who did an excellent job in helping us execute our vision for the day. I knew we were in good hands when I found out he was a fellow St. Olaf grad. Preston mixed our requests, our guests' requests, and a few extras of his own to keep the dance party going for just about 3 hours. I would absolutely recommend Adagio's services without hesitation.

Adagio Djay's are the best! With all the craziness that ensues with getting a wedding together, it was a welcome relief to have such friendly professionals. When it came to the dj/music everything went off without a hitch! What I liked about Adagio was: they were very good at communicating with us and finding out what we wanted, they were on time, they were courteous, and overall we really felt like they knew what they were doing. Jay and his team were perfect. Their system of matching their best DJ with your personality, music interests, and venue is outstanding. Troy was a perfect match for our guests and found a way to make everyone's night special. We elected to allow requests, and Troy was perfect at screening and timing them to flow with the night. Mary was absolutely fabulous! From the beginning, she was up front and listened to our concerns. She was honest about how the day would go and gave us great advice about relaxing and enjoying the day. Music was a big part of the events and we were unsure about who would we be "paired" up with, but after chatting with Mary, we were convinced she was the perfect person to facilitate music and create the ambiance for our special day. We worked with Ryan Diaz as our DJ and he was fantastic. We had some one off items (such as grand entrance introductions) that he pulled off excellently. He played great music throughout and kept the dance floor full. I would recommend him to all of our friends and family.

Drew is absolutely incredible and was excellent to work with from start to finish! His professionalism is unmatched and he is an awesome DJ! Beyond that, he truly created an atmosphere for our wedding that we could not have created without him! He was able to cater to our guests and venue perfectly all throughout the day and night of our wedding. We highly recommend his services!

Adagio came recommended by Minikahda. We were impressed with the first meeting and how professional and organized everything was. Coordinating a wedding from out of state was made easy by your online planning tools and Krista's availability to Skype and stay in contact when needed. Price was high compared to others but we felt comfortable that our money would be well spent. We knew that music would be an important part of the party and wanted to get that right.

We wouldn't change anything. Our experience was more than we imagined and Krista really brought everything together that we spent a lot of time planning.

The most disappointing experience, however the good news is we've learned our lesson and never have to use them for anything again.

We recently used Adagio DJ for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. From the very beginning Jay, the owner was incredibly organized and professional. He was so easy to work with. His communication was top notch. Their online website is awesome and easy for pricking out music for your wedding. We ended up working with DJ Faith for our wedding. She did everything from the ceremony to the last song and she killed it! She listened to what we wanted and executed it perfectly We got countless compliments on our music. Our son and now our daughter-in-law used Adagio Djay Entertainment for their wedding last Friday. The DJ was Michael Allen and he was AWESOME! One of the better DJ's I have experienced...and I've been to my share of wedding receptions over the years. He had the crowd dancing all night, myself included. I can't remember dancing so much and every time I wanted to sit down and rest a bit, he was playing another great song. Everyone we have talked to since has commented on how much fun they had and how great the DJ was. I was also impressed on how personable Michael was and how he worked the crowd. I would highly recommend him. Again, Michael was AWESOME!

DJ Sean was amazing! He called us the week before our wedding and we had a great conversation, which definitely put us at ease for our big day. Sean showed up early to ensure the outdoor ceremony music/microphone was all set up (as I had noted that this was a fear of mine!) and everything turned out PERFECTLY. Sean was great with our guests throughout the evening and had the dance floor packed until the very last song. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience with Adagio as well as DJ Sean and would highly recommend them!

Our DJ Zach was just AMAZING! He helped make the entire evening run smoothly and kept people on the dance floor. He didn t stray from my list I gave him other than when asked too! He listen to every request I had for him without one bat of the eye. He is well worth the money!!! Thank you Zach!!!

We hired Adagio for our daughters wedding. Jay was instrumental with sound and lighting needs outside of the DJ entertainment. Our DJ Dan was amazing. We met with him before the event to outline our needs to set the tone for an elegant evening. Dan did just that, making sure the guests had a good time. During the reception he was instrumental in shifting the order of events as we were running a bit behind schedule with dinner.

I highly suggest Adagio. They provided music from before the ceremony to past the late night end of the dance. Everything was on cue, and they even helped me do a little surprise for my bride by providing a mic for me and letting us play a song to her. Dan T. got a good mix of what we requested as well as requests from the wedding party and family into the dance so everyone had some fun. Wouldn't change a thing.

As an event planner in the Twin Cities, I get the opportunity to work with DJs and Bands a LOT. Working with Adagio is always the best! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience. From day one, we felt so comfortable choosing Adagio. It was great to be in contact with Jay, and after our DJ was chose, Michael. I can't tell you how happy my husband and I are with our reception. Michael was phenomenal. I really believe that the evaluation we did to help Adagio choose a DJ that fit our personalities was perfect. We wanted a DJ that would know when to get people on the dance floor with the songs we chose, how to entertain the crowd and one that had similar tastes in music. Michael did all of that. Music is a huge thing for Troy and myself, so being able to choose the songs we wanted or didn't want played was very nice. The fact that Michael knew when to play them and incorporate them into his mix, was great! We couldn't be happier that we chose Adagio. It was the reception we always wanted, and thanks to your company and Michael, we got that.

DJ Sean was so incredible! Sean spoke with us the week before and the week of the wedding and was super easy to chat with and had the relaxed vibe that we were after. We had some unusual requests in terms of what type of music we specifically did not want to be played and he absolutely nailed it. We also gave him pretty much free reign for our dance and his playlist could NOT have been better. He did such a great job reading the crowd and knowing his audience (primarily mid-20's guests). So many people came up to us during and after the wedding and said what a great job he did. Sean was super chill and made this part of our wedding so perfect. We are SO happy that we got to work with Sean and would highly recommend him to all of our friends!

Jay is the best, hands down. He is awesome and so great to work with. We could not recommend him more for your event!! Jay made sure our guests were entertained, was a fun voice for the night, and has the greatest personality. Thank you Jay and Adajio!

I worked with DJ Sean of Adagio this past weekend and he was AMAZING!! As a wedding planner in the Minneapolis community I work with so many wedding vendors and Sean was an absolute blast to work with. Not only was he fun but he was professional, timely, and he even helped me coordinate transition periods (and he lined up the wedding party!!) and was a huge asset to making the wedding day go smoothly. I'd love to work with Sean again- he was the best!!

We booked Adagio for our wedding. Joel, the owner, was great to work with. He made sure we had everything we needed for our wedding and he assigned us the best DJ. We were assigned Christian R and he was the best! He let us make changes up to 9 a.m. on the wedding day and he was super open to moving toasts to outdoors, playing background music during trivia, and the many other different aspects of our wedding. He checked in with us throughout the night to make sure he was doing everything we wanted done and he was super attentive to the music tastes of our guests. We cannot recommend Adagio or Christian enough!

Our dj was on time and had everything set up in both our ceremony and reception locations before our guests arrived. She checked in with me before the wedding with last minute questions and updates. The ceremony went smoothly and we were happy with the intro and exits of songs (things like fade ins and outs). For the reception however, we were really hoping for more variety.

Before the wedding, we filled out a playlist for our dj to work with and play music from. We also had a discussion with our dj on the phone about the feel and plan for the night. We had a good amount of "oldies" on our playlist, but also new songs which are my husband and i's favorites, and more popular with our friends. Over the phone, it was discussed that the dj would start the night with oldies, to get the older crowd dancing. We were fine with that and agreed to the idea. But we didn't realize that the whole first 3/4 or half of the dance would be dedicated to the oldies. We felt like very very few of the newer songs were played, and were really bummed about this. The dj also played same artist songs back to back, which we thought was an odd choice. We still had a good time, as it was our wedding, but we were really bummed at the lack of variety for our dance.

We hired a DJ for our annual company holiday party. While our DJ played somewhat of a variety of songs and stayed with the theme we provided, she did not do a great job engaging the crowd to get excited nor facilitate to entice people onto the dance floor. Our DJ was flexible and had great communication leading up to and on the day of the event, we just wished they DJ had more enthusiasm and interacted with the crowd more.

We selected Dan for Adagio based upon both our research and a recommendation from our venue s wedding coordinator. He was very professional, and we liked the opportunity to complete a very detailed questionnaire. Dan called prior to the wedding to review all of the information that we had provided. In addition to being our DJ, he also provided our ceremony and dinner music. Dan did an excellent job, as the music we selected for our ceremony was well executed. He also did a good job at keeping the dance floor full. Throughout the event, he was wonderful at communicating with us and keeping everything on schedule.

We had a blast at our wedding and the music was exactly what we wanted! I know country music isn't a strong point for most DJ's but DJ Ryan made it all come together! I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to keep everyone on the dance floor during their event.

One of the things we heard most from our wedding quests was how awesome the DJ was. Everyone loved the music selection and thought he was the most professional looking DJ's they'd seen. We ended up being ahead of schedule, but our DJ was very flexible and was ready at a moments notice.

Adagio had a very large music selection, and even with our somewhat unique request (swing and contra dance lessons followed by a block of time to dance), Adagio had someone (Katie Leatherberry) who specialized in both of those dances, as well as suitable music. She was able to help us refine and add to our current music choices. Katie was great at helping us answer questions we had not considered, and was timely and professional on the day of the event. Prior to the event, she reminded us of and helped us pick songs for important times during reception. During the event, guests were not very interested in swing dancing, and Katie was quick to find us, and suggest alternate music. We took her advice and about 50 more people joined us on the dance floor! I would highly recommend Adagio to anyone looking for a DJ for a special event.

I overall had a very positive experience with Adagio Dj. Alex was amazing at answering my calls and getting back to me via e-mails with all of my annoying questions. The Dj planner was very helpful with breaking stuff down for the DJ as well as helped me plan for my own wedding. I can't say enough positive things about the DJ Zach. He was one cool dude. He was on the same level as my husband and I. He was excited with our song selections and was open to anything we wanted. Zach is someone who truly has fun and love what he does. He was so energetic and bright throughout our day it was so much fun to work with him. He was very professional with the flow of everything throughout the day. He would constantly check in with Dan and I regarding our timeline for the reception. He played every song we wanted for our ceremony and reception. As well as read the crowd for other music selections. It was such a fun day!

It's a week and a half after our wedding and we are still hearing rave reviews about how amazing DJ Zach was at our wedding. The dance floor was never empty and the biggest thing I noticed was he truly seemed to enjoy being there and being a part of our day. Honestly, I can't express enough how key Zach was to the success of our wedding. We attended another wedding this past weekend and it just wasn't even comparable, no one was dancing and everyone left early. Jay was right, a good DJ makes the day! Zach we appreciate your services and you definitely have our business for the remaining 3 Thone kid weddings!

Outstanding performance by our DJ, Faith, for our wedding reception. The playlist kept everyone on the dance floor and had mix of music to accompany everyone s taste. Also, Faith was very flexible and accommodating to the requests from the wedding patrons. Highly recommend Faith and Adagio for anyone having a wedding reception within the Twin Cities area!

Great experience working with Jay and his team for our recent event!

My experience working with Adagio has not been great. The owner Jay is frustrating to work with and often lacks flexibility. I would not recommend booking with Adagio. Learn from my mistake and expand your search!

We are very pleased with our chosen DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. Michael was fantastic! He was very professional, and was checking in with us often to make sure we were on schedule and to offer suggestions to keep the party going. He was also a participant in the dancing! He was not shy and came out to dance with some of our guests! We have received many compliments about him and your services. You have quite a few referrals coming your way! Thank you Adagio for making our day perfect!

Our DJ drew was great. He made sure that everything we planned happened. He kept the guest happy by playing great music and he caught the bouquet!

Krista was our Djay and she was amazing! She took the time to get to know us and our music taste in our intro meeting, and we loved that we could create lists of our must plays, don t play etc. Everyone had tons of fun on the dance floor!

My experience with Adagio Djay Entertainment was better than anything I could have expected. Initially, when planning our wedding we were not going to use a DJ because my husband and I have such varied interest in music we were sure we couldn't find anyone who would cater to us, and we also didn't want anything cheesy like the "Cha-Cha Slide," etc. When I first met Jay with Adagio at Grand View Lodge's Wedding Fair I learned that we could customize our play list, as well as a "do not play" list which was fantastic. We were also able to chose the type of energy we wanted in our DJ's personality, which for us was laid back. What we got was the fabulous Troy Iverson. He really kept things running smoothly throughout the entire wedding. He kept the dance floor packed and even after our contracted time was up, he kept playing as the guests on the dance floor shouted "ONE MORE SONG!" I am so grateful for Adagio's services on our wedding day.

We used Adagio for the DJ services for our wedding on May 19th 2018. Overall we had an excellent experience in working with this company and the services they provided were absolutely perfect. The entire planning process was very easy, and all of the Adagio staff were there to help us with any questions we had along the way. I am the honored bride and recipient of the 2015 Fairy Godmother Project MN wedding, a project made up of the best wedding vendors out there who are committed to giving a dream wedding to one military couple a year. Adagio volunteered immediately to provide Djay services to the project. Their online planner is super slick and easy to do on your downtime! I requested a Djay that was highly interactive with guests and would add a fun personality and element to our night, and they sent us Zack! What a perfect match for us! Zack was on point all night. He respected my do not play and please play lists. He kept the energy going all night and the dance floor was packed. People were literally upset when the night ended. Zack called me directly the week before to discuss details with me, and he gave me his cell and told me to feel free and call/text if anything came up that he needed to know. Super easy going and personal service! I had made several specific requests to Zack ."don't let this person have the mic", "don't let this person start singing karaoke", etc .he was awesome at honoring these requests and anytime anything questionable came up, he just whispered in my ear and let me make the call. Awesome! And he looked great! So grateful to Zack and Adagio for partaking in our dream wedding!!

We booked with Adagio prior to the nationwide lockdown and COVID pandemic, and ended up changing the date of our celebration and also reducing the duration of the event; Adagio was very flexible and even refunded us based on the changes made to the event. Faith was the DJ assigned for our event, and we couldn t have been more pleased with her service and performance. Faith was very energetic and connected to the guests, she kept the dance floor busy by playing music tailored to the crowd. Faith gave us a call a few days before our wedding reception to talk through the information we submitted via the Adagio website and offered some great suggestions on how we could keep our event flowing smoothly given the number of customized requests we had, she was very willing to accommodate our requests without hesitation. We would highly recommend Adagio, and Faith, to anyone looking for a DJ service for any type of event!

Adagio has been very easy to work with in very challenging times for anyone in the event and wedding business, Jay and his staff have conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism and respect to couples that are having to rapidly change plans in the pandemic. Our Djay Troy was wonderful and a delight to work with! He was professional and courteous with all of my guests. With Adagio you have the ability to choose your music. For example, you can choose how much music you would like to play from each genre. You can create a must play list and a do not play list. I have been to many weddings when the guests have already left by 9 PM, this wasn't the case with my wedding. At 11:30 PM we still had many guests dancing the night away! Thank you Djay Troy and Adagio!

Preenon did an absolutely fantastic job. He was very open to suggestions and made sure to run all day-of decisions by us before making them. We loved his fun personality and received endless comments on his music selection. He kept a large group dancing to the very last song!

Adagio DJ was so great to work with, I would highly recommend them to any newly engaged couple.

We first communicated with Anna who walked us through the initial steps and then assisted us with the planning process. Anna was very responsive in communication and gave us an "at ease" feeling which is much needed during the wedding planning process. She initially called us to explain the different packages they offered and looked into exactly what we were looking for. They were also able to provide us a discount for booking by the end of the year (2018). Anna was extremely helpful in the coordination of the day of items. She was able to assist in putting together a wedding timeline and provided us a couple of different playlists to look at for different genres of music.

DJ Merlin was assigned to us about a week before the wedding. We went with the basic package but was looking for an energetic and upbeat DJ. When you have a large wedding group, you definitely need someone to do that. DJ Merlin filled those shoes we were looking for! He listened to our requests and made sure everything was how we wanted it. I wanted a big focus to be on our ceremony and ensuring that flowed smoothly and he sure did, I didn't have to worry about a thing. We had DJ Merlin for our ceremony (outside) and reception (inside) so he was with us all day and night! This was the first time being at our venue and he adapted very well. He also helped in the timeliness of everything. We had our schedule open some time spots so before going into the next item a head of schedule, DJ Merlin asked us before he just assumed.

All in all, Adagio was a great company to work with and we wish Anna and DJ Merlin the very best!

Adagio was great from Day 1! Jay was very attentive and their customer service was exceptional. DJ Dan made our wedding dance a blast and was very professional!!

We used Adagio for our wedding reception and the DJ was terrible. He wasn't playing songs from the list, he was too quiet for the crowd to hear, he mixed up many of the groomsmen/bridesmaids names, he did not follow the schedule we provided, and my wife had to spend much of her night explaining to him what we wanted. If someone requested a specific song the DJ would just keep playing songs from the same artist after the requested song was done rather than mixing things up. I guess if you want everything to go well I guess you need to pay the extra $$ for an experienced DJ. I very rarely write negative reviews but I think this was the first time this DJ ever attended a wedding reception.

We used Adagio DJay Entertainment for our wedding in September in 2014 and they were absolutely the best. We had Rob as our DJ but everyone we interacted with at Adagio was absolutely great and helpful. Rob and Adagio made our day run smoothly and I couldn't thank them enough for giving me less to think about on our wedding day!

As a wedding photographer, I LOVE working with the DJ's at Adagio! They are great at communicating plus they are all so nice! Not to mention every single one of their DJ's that I have worked with know how to keep the dance floor packed all night long! Awesome work, highly recommend!!!

Our entire process with Adagio and our Djay Drew was, lack of better words, SEEMLESSLY PERFECT! From the very first meeting with Drew to the final moments at the reception he really took note of us as a couple and provided us with the best memories and reception I could have ever imagined! Some stand out moments include, 1. A well designed and organized website to help build a perfect list of songs for every moment of the night. 2. Song selection! There wasn't a song Drew didn't have! He used those songs to keep the dance floor packed ALL NIGHT! There was literally never a moment where people weren't dancing! 3. Professional and personable, this is not a cheesy djaying services. Of course, if that is for you, great! That wasn't for us though. Drew was professional but still was able to get to know the crowd and kept the floor packed the entire night! I would recommend Adagio and Drew to everyone who is looking for a professional djay services who keeps everything running smoothly, from coordinating with photographer/videographer to filling the floor! THEY TAKE CARE OF IT ALL! Thank you for making our reception PERFECT!!!

DJ Gary did an absolutely phenomenal job at our reception! The dance floor was full from the first song to the last and our guests had a great time. He took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for as well as following the crowd and what our guests were into. Highly recommend Adagio and Gary!!!

Jay, the owner, struggles with clear communication. Emails are often completely muddied down with nonsense, and phone calls are hard as he often cuts you off and interrupts.
He lacks flexibility and basic communication skills.
Picking a DJ is hard. Please learn from my mistake and continue your search.
