Nice supermarket. Good selection and prices and it s never too crowded.

The Acme at 19th Street is very good and clean plenty of parking

Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a great sale this week on Blue Buffalo cat and dog food, better than any sale that I have seen at pet stores, or online. People always say Acme has high prices, but Acme always has good sales, and fresh produce and meats. Join Acme MyMixx reward, and get discounts, coupons, and gas rewards. My last gas reward, was 20 cents of each gallon of gas I bought. You can get up to $1 off each gallon. No, I don't work for Acme, but I get really good deals there, today my normally $20 bag of Blue Buffalo cat food was only 13.94. The big bags that are normally $35 were $25. Their store baked turkey breast is delicious, I usually get it on sale. I have them slice it down thin, to make sandwiches. It tastes better than any processed lunch meat, and it is low on sodium.

Took forever for customer service to come to the front.

Edit: what's the point in having a separate register for the beer dept. if other customers are allowed to hold up the line with non beer products and Lynne can take forever ringing me up and complaining to some man that can't say excuse me about never having a day off in 42 years but needed to scan and id me twice? Maybe there's a reason the kids only last 42 days, Lynne. Stop complaining and be happy you have a job, work on your customer service experience instead of taking your sweet time while I have places to get to.

Some of the staff are rude. My nephew (who is 2 yrs old) was touch part of the change despencer and the cashier grab his hand and pushed it away and said he cant touch that. She didnt even give me a chance to correct him.

The prices are a bit high without a product being on sale at the time, which is what I kind of expect of Acme, but the establishment was nice and clean, organized, and for my first time going in, the staff was one of the friendliest I've ever experienced in a supermarket!

The deli department is in need of help. You can stand there for minutes just to have them stare back at you. Shop Rite for deli meats.

If you go in there early in the morning there is no service at all.
This morning I tried to purchase a few items before going to work, there was only 1 register open
and two customers in the line with overflowing carts.
I went to the Customer Service desk and the woman there could not have been any ruder.
Apparently its not her job to help a customer (not sure what her actual purpose is there).
She yelled over to the only cashier open do you have anyone in your line--cashier replied
yes two people.
Just than a second lane opened and she yelled to that cashier are you open and she said yes
and a customer with a full cart is here.
Rolled eyes at me and than said she could not ring me up because she did not have a scale--
let me see walk over to one and weigh the two apples I have and than ring the code in you computer.
Needless to say I walked out with nothing because of how rude this person was.
Today is Monday 2.8.16 and I was in the store at 7:45am, so to the person working the
customer service counter you really need to be retrained.

A good supermarket, but usually more expensive than other stores. Great employees and selection though!

Good, clean store with five recently reinstalled self checkout kiosks which drastically speeds up express lines. Excellent wine and beer selection with seating section and tv's.

This might be the cleanest store I ve ever shopped in. The produce and seafood are always fresh. That s huge.

The store is always very clean but everytime I go in here I always have to wait a very long time at the deli for lunch meat. It seems the employees are always talking and take a very long time to cut the lunch meat.

$$ Favorite spot for food shopping..the best lunch meat, fried chicken, packed meats in the back like their NY strip steak, rib eye, bottom round, ground meats, chicken cutlets, etc.. I'd like to also add that employees here are super nice and friendly always go above and beyond my expectations. A staple in the Girard Estates section of S. Philly. I come here to avoid the chaos and lines of the other grocery stores nearby.

The 19th & Oregon Acme is my preferred Acme. I can often find good deals on meat (be sure to look at all the "manager's special" items; they're usually 30% or so off because they are a few days away from the sell by date. I've bought them many times and never had an issue with them). They will also put some steals on clearance. I've found Bob's Red Mill products, Back to Nature mac and cheese, expensive hot sauce, ice cream, frozen meals/sides, and more marked way down. (You can get some awesome deals on health and beauty products; coupons can bring those clearance prices down to next to nothing.) The beer and wine section is surprisingly well stocked for such a small department.

The downsides to the store are the same with any mainstream grocer. You might not always get the most knowledgeable employees (although 80% are great) and although the selection is great for a mainstream store, don't count on finding anything obscure or always getting good deals on certain things. (I only buy non food items here if they're on a blowout sale/I have coupons or can use a rebate app.)

Very clean store. The employees are willing to help. Great selection! Shelves for the most part are stocked. Although, some items are a bit pricey, all in all definitely will be going back.

Fast and Courteous service, I found everything that I went there for.

One of my fav places to shop. I don't know how it is later in the day but I go early in the morning n it's always a very good shopping experience. Very nice Customer service, good parking.

Great neighborhood supermarket for all your essentials and they sell beer and wine.

Has a great selection of meats, fruits and vegetables, friendly and knowledgeable pharmacists.

Very friendly staff, some great cocktails, and a pleasantly varied beer selection. My only wish is that they expand upon their food menu, but what is available is always delicious.

I would rate this Acme five stars!!! Without a doubt , this is my go to store, the staff, manager everyone could not be any nicer and helpful but my only reason for giving the 4 stars is the new security guards are very ignorant, I had seen this same guy before screaming at someone near the wine section they are closing in not a nice attitude at all, was far from professional, he could have said it a different way. I would not complain if I I did not spend a lot of money in this store but being being treated because they closed in 5 mins when you look It up it says 11pm! I was grabbing 2 thing dingo sticks for my dog and vegetable oil and he screamed down the aisle 2 times at me when I told him I know when currently there were about 5 other customers in the store still walking around.. I told him don't disrespect me watch your attitude it was so unprofessional. I hope to never have a run in with him again or I will put in a complaint with his unfriendly nasty attitude.. and no I do never go in to stores 10 minutes before, because I respect people would like to be done and out by then .. I was out the door by 1055 but I left acme very shaken up because of how he spoke to me.

Clean, wider isles, less congestion, good food display, they keep the lines moving. Pleasure shopping here.

Let's just say.....it was an experience to say the least.

This is my preferred supermarket in South Philly, isn't typically too busy and is well stocked. Some of the other markets around there are super busy and lines at check-out are too long. Depending on what time of day it is the parking lot can be difficult to get in and out of. All the staff here are very friendly and helpful. They sell beer here too.
