Accident Fund Insurance Company of America Review

While I ve never had to file a claim with this company they are extremely hard to work with. Every year during our audit process something goes wrong. They have mailed forms to the wrong address, even when having our correct info on file. They continued to do this after being corrected as well. They have also lost forms that we have mailed in because some did not scan. Which we had to then refill our. They have failed to contact us when missing forms as well and just marked our audit incomplete. I m sure a claim would be a nightmare as well after witnessing the audit. I am hopeful that never takes place or we can find another place to work with.

Keep on saying that they are waiting for my medical records, does not take 6 weeks to receive them, been injured for going on 8 weeks, no money at all, no doctors, no meds!! I even contacted the places that held my records, they have sent the records multiple times!!!

This is a shady business for sure. I was just told by the person working my case that she has no time restraints on handling my case, and she will get to it when she gets to it. Beyond rude and unprofessional. This is going on 3 weeks now.

This place is a joke. Leaves the working man broke by taxing my pay a 2nd time. No Christmas . nothing good comes from this company. They show a huge disregard for Youre well being. Thanks sue!!! And your company. Kick me while I'm down.

We canceled our policy with this company in January. At the time our account was COMPLETELY current. After they received our cancellation they send us a bill because they said we did not complete the previous years audit. Even after I told them my accountants sent the audit and we resend it they still billed me for "not providing a audit in time". One of their own staff told me they probably billed me because we canceled our account with them. Just paid over a $1000 bill to be done with them - Very unhappy with the service would not recommend them or do business with them again.

This company is beyond slack. . My husband's checks never come on the same day,sometimes a week late,he has had more than we can count case workers and everyone of them never communicated with him. It's just an all around poor compmay.

Hurt my knee at work which turn into cellulitis. Has to spent week in hospital. Filed claim and sent bills as was receiving. Waited and waited for payment of lost wages and bills to be paid. Was told 6 mos later that claim was denied and was not work related saying hospital said it was gout. Which is false because I have my medical records. Should of been told this within month of injury and I would of cleared it up. Still haven't gotton them to get their lies straight

I have had my workers comp for my small business with them for years. They truly care about their customers and during a time my business was facing a hardship they stepped up without question!! I am very thankful for a company that care for it's clients.

I am in a current claim with accident fund they have been dragging there feet on my surgery I have 3 doctors that say I need surgery but they insist on a IME exam which is suppose to be a independent exam yet they pick the doctor it s been months and I still haven t got the exam then they say it will take 6-8 weeks after for results I ll be 6 months in bye that time mean while I don t sleep and have no life due to my injury. My work and Accident Fund have tried everything they can to get me to quit my job and make life miserable, I have been in touch with work Comp and employment lawyers I look forward to returning the favor.

If there were a way to leave 0 Stars they would have it..... they pick your pockets like misers trying to keep the Christmas ham from Tiny Tim

Horrible experience getting in conact with customer service representatives, I don't want to speak to machines

I was injured at work and this is the company through which my employee holds Worker s compensation policies. My claim was very simple and I was back to work after 3 months. Dealing with United Heartland has been far more stressful and aggravating that my work injury. I was back to work mid October with no additional need for services. I have been calling my worker since the end of October just trying to get paid out what is owed to me. I have never gotten a call or email back despite the repeated phone calls. I called the Worker s direct superb several times with no call back whatsoever. So then I called the supervisor s supervisor and received no response back. This business is at the height of unprofessionalism. It s to the point where I will need to retain an attorney to ever see the money that is owed to me. During my injury, the checks came with no regularity or consistency. Had I been solely dependent on the miserly sum they paid me, I would have had my vehicle repossessed, my house for closed upon, and had no food. It s incredibly absurd that a company which is paid its bill regularly and consistently can operate with these business tactics.
If you or your company have any chance to go with a different company, I highly recommend even sticking your money in a hole in the ground. At least you will be able to be paid out in a timely and professional manner.
Any company tied to United Heartland holds the same unprofessional image to me.

Well l haven't heard from case worker at all. Still haven't gotten my check nor my mileage check so not even going to give you a star.

I'm the injured person but they want me to do all the work. They want me to email and call in after every appt and any status changes, isnt that what you get paid for? They also aren't paying me correctly because the case manager is to lazy to find out my correct income. Very lazy company.

Won't respond to any of our emails or requests, extremely slow on getting anything done, except for billing me, they're very quick and efficient at sending me bills that are incorrect. Attempted to overcharge me by deducting too much from my bank account over 6 times now. Instead of solving the matter with me via email or on the phone like I have been attempting to do, they just keep trying to debit my bank account. I have now had to put a stop to any attempts until they actually communicate with me regarding the error. I suppose we will see if this gets resolved finally. If it doesn't, we will be taking legal action.

Cancelled my policy because my business was "too small," then sent me a mandatory audit for the past year. If I don't do the audit, I face a bill for twice the premiums paid over the previous year. If I'm too small to insure, why aren't I too small to audit? Thanks Accident Fund.

If you are ever unfortunate enough to have to deal with this company because you were hurt on the job hire a attorney as fast as you can
I dealt with these people and this company for 6 to 9 months Over a head on collision by a wrong way driver at work It was never more obvious to me that your injuries mean nothing to them they don t even attempt to make seem otherwise

If I could give it a negative rating I would. These people are awful. In 40 years of running businesses I have never come across such a bunch of people. In my opinion, they are the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Unreasonable, high handed, bureaucratic, almost to the point of evil, IMHO. Stay away!!!

This company insures companies like Pace Transport Inc in St Louis. Many workers have been hurt on the job. Employer claims proper paperwork has been submitted and you NEVER HEAR FROM ANYONE. They PROVIDE NO TREATMENT HURT EMPLOYEES AND LEAVE EMPLOYEES with serious injuries.

Absolutely horrible billing practices. Perhaps it's normal in this industry but they base your premium off of your estimated payroll dollars for the year. Then audit you at the end of the year, and if your payroll dollars are more than the estimate, they bill you for the extra money! I have ended up owing thousands of dollars at the end of the year on an audit, because they decided at the end of the year, they didn't charge me enough and wanted more money for the services already rendered. I wish I could go back to a customer, after already having provided services, and say, you know, I think I should have charged you more, here's a bill! Will absolutely never do service with this company again!

Call after call and cant get a call back about my claim

They are taking my mother through the ringer after getting hurt on her job. They say they are doing an investigation. Well she has a Lawyer along with witnesses so I m not sure what they investigating. Horrible people to communicate with. I wish it was a way for 0 stars
