Academy for Five Element Acupuncture Reviews

As a graduate of class 25 in June 2011, I'm doing well. Academy for Five Element Acupuncture helped ensure my success. Practice Management and the ability to recruit my own patients is paramount to help people see Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a viable complement to their healthcare regimen. This is something a practitioner will always have to nurture. The faculty are extremely well educated, encouraging, inspiring, and benevolent. I can't thank them enough about these qualities, as these values come from the very top.

I started my masters at another acupuncture school in California before switching to the Academy for Five Element acupuncture, and I am so incredibly glad that I did. The unique structure of the program has allowed me to continue to work and live near my family for the first two years. The tuition is one of the most affordable in the country (nearly half of what schools here in NYC cost!). The teachers are incredibly devoted, approachable, and humble. The buildings have more natural light than all of the other schools I've visited combined - especially the gorgeous brand-new Student Clinic. Finally, the school's approach to Chinese medicine encourages students to engage their future vocation from multiple perspectives: the spiritual, the interpersonal, the biological, the entrepreneurial, etc, etc. Acupuncture programs are not for the feint of heart: you will be expected to work hard here and mostly on your own schedule. This program is good for self-starters and people who learn better at their own pace.

I just wasted an entire afternoon to show up to my appointment - which was never inputted into their system! Apparently, the woman Ashley, who took my payment and processed my credit card properly, yet did not input my appointment into the actual scheduling system. WARNING: The front desk woman said, yeah, this isn t the first time it s happened . I live 20+ minutes away, and arranged childcare to accommodate this appointment....... Get a better system in place! Now waiting on my refund, which the front desk woman has no idea to do .

Very nasty ladies there. Told me they would call back never did said I should come by Friday when they are closed Fridays.

Best school in the United States. If you want to really learn the root art of acupuncture this is your strongest foundation.

In the last decade I've sporadicialy attended the veterans clinic on Thursdays evenings. This excellent community service provides general wellness treatment of five points in each ear. Donations are appreciated, but not required.
