As a member and regular visitor, I love Above the Stag and it's wonderfully varied productions. Something for everyone. It's like a theatrical "family".

The only LGBT Theatre in the country open 52 weeks of the year, offering a varied programme of Musicals, plays and the best adults only pantomime in the country.
It's smart new home on the Albert Embankment, makes this one of London's best fringe venues

Love the new venue. Great bar area and bigger stage area. Shows are always amazing and great value for money.

You can pre-order drinks for intermission. Also, just a fantastic experience.

London's premier LGBTQ theatre is getting better and better lovely new premises

Theatre for the gay community and their friends. The shows are fringe standard and often good. The fact that the theatre is in a railway arche doesn't distract from the plays, too much. The drink selection is poor, and you won't find any quality craft beers or wine here. Fortunately Mother Kelly's has the beer covered a few doors up.

Went to see "fanny and stella" and it was amazing. Better than going to the west end.. Was my 1st time in the new stag theatre as I had gone to the old location on a few occasions. I was really impressed with the Bar, Theatre and amazingly friendly staff. Be proud of what you have created here it's amazing. I will be a regular..

Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and great play (Extra Virgin) with very good actors.

Modern interior. Extremely well performance of shows. Large bar/lounge. Toilets. Wheelchair accessible.

Great programme, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. You know you're under a busy railway route, though, especially in the theatre....

It has an excellent atmosphere and nice staff. The theatre is quirky and you forget that you are under the arch of a railway. The play " Rupert Street" is an option for and entertainment.

Lovely theatre tucked out of the way. Friendly staff. Turn up early to ensure your choice of the unreserved seating.

Fantastic shows go see just about everything they do.

Awesome cast and set. A story very well told

The plays are always excellent and the Panto's are amazing esp if sitting in the front row.

Great venue. Modern, industrial and spacious. The sinks in the toilet look like something out of chamber of secrets which I was into. Lgbtq+ focused theatre with some brilliant programming.

Nice intimate theatre showing plays that are unlikely to get into the West End but are often more interesting because of it.

Only caveat, the theatre is in a railway arch and the noise of the trains overhead can be distracting.

Brilliant experience. The best since the start of lockdiwn. Safe but friendly. Efficient. Immaculate, clean place. Excellent all round.

This is two theatre's (small and medium sized) devoted to putting on short run plays from the LGTBQT Community. It has friendly staff and great productions sadly the muffling of the overhead trains could still be better.

Brilliant little independent Gay theatre with 2 studios, nice modern facilities & large bar area. Regular productions for the LGBT clienteles.

Went to see closer to heaven, staff were very helpful and friendly, the cast were amazing especially Maddy banks

I cried buckets at Maurice. The staff are very cool and the crew do a lot with the small space.

Newly found venue. As long as you can ignore the overhead rumble of trains, which I can, A practical and comfortable experience

First visit to the third reincarnation of this theatre and probably it's best home. Friendly staff spacious bar area and lovely studio space.
We saw Velvet which had potential but just missed the mark as the writer/ performer didn't quite manage the emotional rollercoaster.
This was not helped by the appalling behaviour of the audience. What is wrong with people today? Why go to see a theatre performance if you have no respect for the hard work of the team of people involved or the rest of the audience

Simply brilliant venue and varied plays. It was very busy for the showing of both Next Lesson and Grindr, The company Opera. The bar's two expensive, as it's always so with all theatres.

Superb new venue, first production there. Brilliant work on both accounts.

It's a nice, small theatre with a large bar area and gender neutral toilets. The atmosphere is casual-hipster vibe, staff were very friendly. View seems to be really good from any seat.
Only issue is that the seats are extremely narrow and close together, you're basically cuddling anyone who's sitting next to you.

Great small theatre showing alternative shows. Small and under the tracks so does get the noise from that but that s ok.

Under the arch of Vauxhall and few minutes walk from the station ,this little Theatre is a delight ,very friendly staff and ambiance will return for panto

Nice Intimate theatre with large bar under the arches near Vauxhall Tube Station, near where the gay scene used to be about 5 or 6 years ago.

On my fourth play now at the stag+I can honestly say they have all been brillant shows at a fraction of the price of a west end play. Great venue great friendly helpful staff too

Yes, you will find better theatrical productions in the West End but I feel at home when I go to the Above The Stag Theatre.

The current site is a bit small so I can't wait for the move to the arches on Albert Embankment.

Great venue!!! In Covid19 days this was safe, alive....and beacon in a bleak theatre world!

Lovely little venue! Given the name, I'd expected a ramshackle room above a Victorian pub. Instead, a clean, modern and well equipped bar and theatre under the railway arches. Friendly staff and excellent production of "stop kiss". Could use a wider range of alcohol free beers though, just heinekin zero.

One of the only dedicated theatres for the LGBT world. Staff are superfriendly and the shows range from comedy to quite serious topics. I don't miss a show here and the tickets are reasonable. I have been to other LGBT theatre venues in London, and their tickets are cheaper, however, unfortunately this means they have to basically beg you for donations too. There is none of that here.

Only exclusively LGBT theatre in the UK, some fabulous drama and some fun nights out

Went there many times and am always impressed about the quality of the plays and actors. It's a small theatre and you feel being inside the play. It's a fantastic venue with friendly staff.

Cool venue and the only UK theatre dedicated to LGBT productions.

The new venue of Above The Stag is a great improvement to its previous. The generously-sized bar area is very welcoming, and because of its location on Albert Embankment, it's an ideal place to just pop- in for a drink after work even if one's not going to see a show. The bar stayed open for some time after the show too which is definitely another plus.Friendly staff and a good range of drinks makes this a must-go place in Vauxhall, situated on the sunny side of the river!
