Don't donate to a thief who refuses to pay a tradesman for 83 hours of work on his two huge luxury homes, pays himself extremely well and is an utter fraud and liar.
While the ideology of ABC for Health draws in the fresh-faced, "do-gooder", recent college graduate to help disadvantaged individuals apply for Medicaid and Social Security disability benefits, what goes on inside the organization is a whole different story. A dichotomous one to say the least. The management is atrocious, they do not treat their employees well at all, as evidenced by the ridiculously high turnover rate. It is not pleasant to work somewhere in which the management sucks the morale out of any room. The building violates a plethora of health code violations and could definitely use a deep professional cleaning (employees clean the place on Fridays currently), to say the least. The hospitals could employ in-house staff to do the work for cheaper and I hope they figure that out soon.
I so wanted this to be the place it advertises itself to be, but point-blank: it is not. I wanted to warn off new employees (they are now all in the same boat as me, former employees with a bad taste in their mouths for this organization) and if this scares one new person off, I have done my job. Avoid this place like the dickens.
