First time here as not local on honeymoon and had been recommended to eat here. On approaching didn't look like what we thought as loads of people out the front drinking. Guessing you could eat out as tables outside. Once inside a different story, restaurant is lovely not overly big well the part we were in on the left as you come through the door. Amazing selection of wines. Limited menu but something for everyone, the wait is worth it beautiful food and well presented. They do have a specials board. There was a fairly long wait between courses but we don't mind this though one table near us were not so happy. Personal preference I guess we like to make an evening of it if eating out. Highly recommend and the desserts to die for. We will return when in the area again. Gets busy so booking in advance is recommended

The ambience was nice and the staff were pleasant, the food was fairly priced. However, I was not massively impressed with the food. I had garlic bread which was ok but nothing special, not really that garlicky and quite oily, charred but not crisp. The burger was really good texture and tasted good except slightly too salty for my taste. Chips were ok but not particularly crisp. Happy enough overall but fell short of 5* worthy in my opinion.

Intimate and welcoming place, friendly staff, good food, I recommend chicken tandoori, average prices. The only flaw of the wine, apart from the exaggerated cost but being a wine restaurant you can't have wines with vinegar-like corkscrews and then bring it to the table already open it's a mistake, the wine opens in front of the diner

A casual finding. I stopped there going to the isle of wight. I was impressed, so I stopped again on my way back.
We were 3 adults and a kid and we took a wide spectrum of things. I don't remember a single glitch in any of those. The steak with polenta stick is very good, but everything we took was very good.

The Caesar salad was a bit bland. But the rest was fantastic. I loved the arancini. We try meat, fish and vegetables so I cannot say about the pasta dishes.

In summary an enjoyable experience.
