A&P Fairbairnes heating and cooling system Review

Recently installed an 8.5kw split system to our living room. Professional and highly recommended service!

We recently had our 40 year old gas ducted heater replaced with a new Brivis system by Fairbairns Heating and Cooling and we impressed with their knowledge, customer service and ease of install.
We had multiple companies quote for the same system and while Fairbairns was not only the most competitive price wise, they were also the most knowledgeable in what was for me a very specialist and overwhelming field. Ray who provided our quote, took the time to fully investigate our current situation and needs, he was professional and helpful, explaining to us exactly what would need to be done in terminology that we could understand. He even discovered a hole in our current ducting which they ended up fixing at no additional charge to us!

The ordering and installation process was very quick and smooth. Our system was ordered on the Friday and installed the following Tuesday. We were contacted along the way keeping us informed and confirming our appointment.

The installation team arrived in the allocated timeframe and set to work without any hassles, our old system was removed and taken away and the new one installed without any hiccups. The installers were very tidy and left no mess either outside or inside. They also took the time to show us exactly how to use the system and what documents needed to be completed to ensure our 7 year warranty.

The whole team has been a pleasure to deal with; everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly and has gone above and beyond to provided us with a very peronalised service that really made us feel like our business mattered to them.

Very disappointed, we both work full time and the only appointment we could get was between 1-3 pm, no Saturday reps to do quotes. I thought businesses needed business, clearly they don't need ours, we will definitely go elsewhere.

PENSIONERS BE WARNED! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My mum is a 70year old lady on a pension. After agreeing to a full service of a Brivis Unit which was in Excellent working order, the serviceman from Fairbairns opened the Pilot lamp panel, and reported that it should be immediately shut down and replaced. Eventhough, the unit was working perfectly fine 5 minutes prior to his visit. She was charged $150 although the unit was never serviced, due to a supposed fault found by the service technician. Glenys at their office who took my mum's phone call suggested part of the payment will be refunded after consulting management. Soon after the payment was cleared, within minutes, the manager Rick called back and said No Refund. Very unhappy with their service, She feels as if she was ripped off and taken advantage of. $150 of her pension is now gone and she got nothing out of it. An expensive call out fee with no servicing done whatsoever. Taken up matter with Consumer Affairs. Even Energy Safe Australia feel that Fairbairns did the wrong thing by charging her a costly service fee for a system that was never even serviced.

Last summer the heat in our bedrooms was unbearable so we bit the bullet and investigated some options. After deciding on split-systems, we contacted Fairbairns Heating and Cooling at Hallam for advice and a quote.

Rick was extremely helpful and courteous and came up with a figure which was below our expectations and well within budget. He and his team were prompt in carrying out the installations and fully explained the operation and maintenance of the new systems.

Being split-systems they gave the added bonus of serving as heaters in Winter. With the timer set, rising from slumber on these chilly Melbourne mornings has been a lot more endurable.

Thank you for prompt and efficient service with little disruption to our routine and no structural issues during or after installation. We are now looking to install an additional unit in our family room and have no hesitation in calling in Rick and his friendly team. We are more than happy to recommend Fairbairns Heating and Cooling to anyone considering installing heating and cooling systems.

My elderly, disabled mother's evap stopped working. With the current weather being quite hot, Fairbairns were able to accommodate her and had the issue fixed the same day. Got an evaporative system installed over a year ago. The installers were friendly and professional. We had them come back for a free system check recently and it's all going fine. Friendly stuff. Highly Recommend.

The service guys were absolutely amazing, they did everything without hassle. You know you're dealing with a good company when they've just been working on a rainy day in mud and they take off their shoes without asking before entering the house. They walked me through the functions after the replacement was completed and was very helpful. Excellent work Rick (I think that was the guys name but I forgot after they left oops). Price was 100% worth the service and quality, I would definitely go with these guys again.

Had an appointment booked for 1:30pm today.
2:24pm still no show, and no calls to let me know how late they are running.
I decided to call them back to give them the flick since it didn't look like they needed the business.
