The 9th Bit was founded in 1984 by a group of four ambitious and dynamic young university students who have invested their government business start-up loan in the beginning of a great, ever-changing business adventure that has been going on for the past 33 Years.
The group of founders of the 9th Bit was composed of: André Lavoie, designer. It is from Mr. Lavoie that we owe the logo and the original name of the 9th Bit. The team was also composed of Claude Martel, programmer, Jean-Pierre Pelletier, electronic engineer and Gilles Provencher, administrator.
