This is a DC establishment for good reason. It s not exactly the Ritz, but it has a gritty charm all its own. The hot grub options at the aptly named "Food Food" window next to the bar on the left on the main floor, has a surprisingly large variety to choose from, not exactly for health freaks, but very filling for the price. personally I always get their chicken Parm equivalent, noms. Drinks as usual at any concert venue are always a little higher than they would be at the usual bar, but selection is fine, usually around seven or eight different beers on tap. There is a bar in the basement and on the second floor in addition to the main floor, so feel free to roam. There s even a little coffee bar upstairs, though I ve never indulged in this myself. The upstairs bar is better when you want a little bit more of an intimate setting, although arrive earlier if you want to make sure you get some of the seats there, as they re limited. Personally I ve always preferred to be at the main floor with the big crowd, but to each their own. I have seen at least two dozen shows here in my life, and I always look forward to my next outing at 9:30

Loved being on the balcony! And the best part was you could go up even with general admission

I went to the 9:30 club for my first time recently, to see Clutch play. I love this venue. It's raw, it's strangely beautiful in its own way, and I just love the size of the venue. The basement bar was really great too. Drinks are pricey, but you could've guessed that.

One of the (if not the) best places to see live music. Sound is great, drink selection is awesome, and they have food (which is ok). Parking can oftentimes be pre-purchased, and is reasonable, and recommended.

9:30 club is a concert venue with three levels. On the ground level is where the concert takes place. The upper level allows good views from the artist and the crowds as well as some space to seat. The underground level has a tiny bar where bro grab some food. All levels offer drinks and water. We were there yesterday for the Owl City concert and we really enjoyed it. Also it is located in the heart of a very vibrant neighborhood!

I saw Oliver Tree at this great venue. Before the show everything was very clean and tidy--including the restrooms. The view from the balcony was fantastic & staff was very helpful. Security was fair and very attentive to the crowd surfers and rowdy behavior. Crowd was pretty young for the content but, I guess that says more about the performers than the venue. Will definitely go back to catch a show!

Great venue and sound. Lighting is mediocre. Management needs to move beyond the stage only lighting. With an investment in lighting over the entire dance floor, the venue would be spectacular.

I'm nonplussed. I get that this is something of a landmark, but I think if you don't have memories of this place from "the good old days" it's a bit underwhelming.

This was my first visit here, from out of state too, to see a show. They let the club get dangerously crowded, people were stupid-drunk, a fight broke out next to us that totally brought down the mood and the drinks were overpriced.

All in all, I was disappointed. Too bad I didn't make it here in its heyday.

Went here to see a concert. The venue was a lot bigger than I imagined and it was filled to the brim. Small bar area, which leaves plenty of room. Sadly there's only one exit and entering and exciting is pretty slow. You'll have to squeeze past people, and almost rush to get yourself out of this tiny place. Overall the place is clean and well kept, would go again.

This is my favorite music venue not only in DC but perhaps in the country. Great acoustics, great artists, and affordable prices. I just wish that the popular shows would have some tickets that could be purchased at the door to give the locals a chance to get tickets!

Great venue. Easy to get to by Metro with a short walk. Easy parking behind (if you purchase when you buy your tickets). Either stand downstairs or try to get a seat upstairs--all this and clean bathrooms.

My first concert was at the old address: 930 F Street. Since then I've been to hundreds of shows here and it consistently delivers - the quality of the acts, sound, staff, food, drink and crowd is top notch. It's one of my favorite small venues in the US.

Acoustics are amazing!!! Take advantage of the link to buy drinks! Parking is in the back of venue, object of the game of parking here, dont wait til the show is over..... If you wanna skate fast we've 10 to 15 miles before the show's over. The location of the parking is at a very busy intersection that is linkage to 2 clubs near 930 club and restaurants. Location can get jammed by foot traffic with people trying to get back-and-forth between the restaurants in the other venues!!!!!

The lighting in the venue is phenomenal and so are the acoustics. Nice bar and drinks selection which were all nice and much stronger than expected (not a complaint from me!). Staff here are pretty friendly as well and the show (Sabrina Carpenter) was amazing! There are plenty of restaurants near by if you want to grab a bite before or after too.

Easily one of the best music venues in DC. Not a bad spot in the house and amazing acoustics. Drinks are typical DC prices but they have a great selection of beer. Protip: get to shows 30 mins after doors open and lockdown a good spot upstairs.

Absolutely love the place. Good to see local bands. Week night shows are always good. Light security to get in. Even if you get stuck in the back you are still relatively close to the band. And they have food! Place is great just getting in and out of DC sucks. Check it out!

This venue has held some incredible concerts over the decades. Good sound and standing/sitting options. I was near the front of the stage to hear Animals As Leaders recently. The sound coverage was good close to the stage and in the cheap seats...

Great place. Two levels and the second level being terraced means there are very few sight lines blocked. Multiple bars and very attentive bar tenders means you don't wait long for a beverage. Top notch sound and great line ups year round. If you haven't been here, its time too.

This is a cool place to see a concert. It's big and famous enough to get some popular high quality acts, but small enough that you can see their faces. The sound quality is good too. Never have I been to concert there where I couldn't understand the lyrics because of too much echo, distortion, or bass.

Wow! I haven t attended a concert here in over 5 years. Last time I went it was kind of grimy. The new renovation is amazing! Nicely appointed balcony with seats. Very clean bathrooms. Nice bars throughout. I will be back for more concerts! We had a great time.

Watched the Glitch Mob here. It was a good show. The venue is cozy and offered free water which is a great boon. I used their dedicated parking around the back which made me feel a little better about parking in the area. It wasn't cheap though and you can probably find other parking nearby. The staff seemed friendly and courteous. I was a little surprised at the depth of the security check (expecting more) but I imagine that changes per show. We had a good time with little fuss. I would go back to see another show sometime.
