9:30 Club, I.M.P. Review

Great sound system and excellent beer selection. Pretty much the gold standard for this sort of venue.

Great sound, attentive bar staff (bonus points for leaving full pitchers of water and cups on the bartop for people throughout the concert), and small enough that it felt a bit intimate but large that there was a festive crowd. What's not to like?

This was my first time visiting the 9:30 Club. I'm rarely in the city, but decided to surprise my hunny with a date night in DC. We went to see Allen Stone live, and it was an intimate experience while also accommodating a decent size crowd. There were a few bars in the building, as well as a concession area and a coat check area. It was an amazing experience, and I'd definitely like to go again. Maybe one day, our band will even perform there!

I always like going to shows here. I hold a special place for smaller venues. The coffee bar upstairs was a nice addition.
