Outstanding food. Even better views of the runway. Best world war 2 decor I have ever seen in a restruant. Best beer cheese soup I have ever had. Average prices. Large portions. Staff dresses the part and couldn't be nicer. Would strongly recommend to others.

Our first visit. I was impressed with the portions and size of the steak and prim rib. Everything was delicious. The only problem was the waiter brought me the wrong beer. When I ask why he said they didn't have the beer I wanted. So he brought the lite version of it. This after i made it clear i didn't want a lite beer. He was a likeable guy but never apologised or offered to replace or comp the beer. Otherwise I would give 5 stars. We liked the way the place is decorated and location. The biplane parks right out side and we got to watch it change passengers and take off.

One of my all-time favorite restaurants! The food, the atmosphere, and the all around experience is stellar. My wife and I celebrated the 14th anniversary of our first date with the Sunday brunch buffet. Since my birthday falls on a Sunday this year, I'm thinking of possibly going back for the brunch again. Well worth it.

Went after the lunch rush with 10 people from work. Service was suboptimal (I never got a drink refill), food took 40 min to come out, not all orders were right, took another 40 min to cash out and 2 tabs were wrong. Food-wise the burgers and catfish were great, 57 sandwich and pot roast sandwich were so so.

I wouldn't really come here for the food - more for the view of the runway and the atmosphere. It is a place you absolutely have to try if you've never been before- perhaps for a drink or the Sunday brunch. But their regular food menu isn't that great- kind of like bar food quality. It is a great place to just watch people take off on bi-planes and enjoy the weather.

Excellent dancing for folks of a certain age or younger, no cover charge, no cigarette smoke (unlike Johnny's Hideaway ) Terrapin Hopsecutioner in a can just $4.50. I'm told the food is also good, but I've only been there to dance

Prices are ala cart making it expensive. The average family will not be able to afford. It is not well lit. I guess your suppose to be in a world war II bunker atmosphere. Food was average but the staff was very pleasant.

Just had dinner here last night. I was plenty surprised by the food after reading some reviews. The decor was really neat (maybe worth going just to see it). The beer cheese soup was good (not amazing), the steaks seemed to be on the rare side from what you order them. The macaroni and cheese was incredible! The view was great - but we didn't see any planes during dinner. My only complaint was that the service was slow. The dancing after 8pm was impressive - I wanted to get my husband to dance, but after seeing all the pro's on the dance floor we were too intimidated to join them. Not sure if that's how it always is, but it was fun to watch anyways. Definitely an over-all good experience.

Wife's work holiday party was held here this year. The building and location are amazing. The staff, food, and ambiance are perfect. This is our new go to spot when people from out of town want to go somewhere interesting.

If you're into World War II Aviation this is a must-see restaurant. Incredibly impressive. actual recordings of World War II that you can listen to while in the men's restroom along with postings of historical newspaper events on the walls of that time period.

I worked here almost 20 years ago as a bartender. Hands down this was the best job I have ever had! The food is amazing, awesome staff, and we had a Stern but fair manager. I miss bartending there! I am going back to ATL in January for a visit and trust me I will be outside watching the airplanes next to a roaring fire just enjoying life!!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere!

I've eaten there twice: once for ribeye steak and the other for prime rib. Both are delicious, as we're all the sides.

The music is loud enough to party, but not too loud to enjoy a conversation.

Bartenders and staff are friendly, as are they patrons.

Fantastic option for a great meal, affordable drinks, and all night dancing. 100% recommend!

The backdrop is so wonderful on a Saturday afternoon. To watch the planes, chomp on a delicious medium well burger, sip a nice Pinot and hole up in a booth ~ I adore it!

This is the perfect 1st date or 50th date spot.

I went during brunch - that time is not for me, my preference is the quiet afternoon.

Very unique spot for lunch that offers good, solid food but nothing fancy. I live their farmhouse salad with the fresh cheese on it. If it's a nice day, grab a table outside to watch the planes coming and going at DeKalb Co. Airport. Gets a little wild at weekend nights with the older crowd which is a fun sight to see. Definitely worth a trip if you've never been

I went for Christmas lunch with a group from work. This is an interesting uber military themed restaurant with sandbags on the walls, Churchill speeches piped into the bathroom etc. There is an active airfield yards away and you can see aircraft take off and land. It has several separate rooms, a bar and a dance floor. I can see lots of possibilities for parties or a night out. We were offered the choice of a buffet or ordering from a limited menu. Our group had our own separate room so we could talk, exchange gifts etc without disturbing anyone else. The food was good and service was decent. It is a bit off the beaten track but is a "different" experience once you find it. It's worth a shot.

Was looking and hoping for a great dinner, great environment, and a little action on the runway to entertain the babies.
This visit was a grand slam!!!
Ann was our server and she was the best!!
She took great care to make sure the babies food came out first to keep them happy.
And we enjoyed a great time for Mother's Day!!!
Thank you for a great experience.

Unfortunately, I'm somewhat at a lost for words to describe my experience at this restaurant. It appears that this restaurant is not staffed to handle a small Saturday wave. Upon entry with a party of 8, we were told that were waiting for a large party to leave to that we could be seated. We did not mind the wait, but an hour later we were seated, and it took about another 10 minutes before we were acknowledged for our drink orders to be taken. Unfortunately, during the ordering process, we were told several times about what we had order, when the waitress had gotten it incorrect. To finish up with our experience, several plates of food were dropped while delivering to the table, splattering on one of the members of our party. There was a lady( not sure of her position.. manager or not) that scolded the waitress in front of us for dropping the items, which was highly unprofessional. Even after all this, we had to ask for some type of (small)compensation ( because there was not any adjustments made to our bill). They offered an appetizer voucher

Great good old fun here. Great food and fun times on the dance floor. They do themed dance nights that makes it all even more entertaining such as 90s dance or 80s dance. Want to have a great meal and the chance to burn the guilt, well this spots perfect. Enjoy

The food was excellent and I would have given it 5 stars if not for the upkeep of the pavement in front of the restaurant. There is a lift in the pavement and on the way into the restaurant I tripped landed on my face my right hand and my left knee. This was last Saturday night and I am still sore. Our server brought me Band-Aids for my hand that was cut up and bleeding but my knee is still swollen and achy and I look like I took a fist to my right jaw... It is so black and blue and makeup is not hiding it. I would definitely warn people about this incident if they plan on dining there. I would definitely consider coming back next time I'm in Atlanta but I would hope to see this pavement fixed. this is very dangerous and you could be looking at legal problems in the future if it's not repaired.

I've found what I've been searching for to eat, dance & socialize! Wonderful service and great atmosphere, coupled with a super bar staff & varied music. All ages represented on the dance floor and on the speakers. I'll definitely be back!

Sitting out on the patio was great. Our waiter was great. I however selected something on the menu that they didn't have that night, so I made a second selection and they did not have that either. Food was good.

We took my mother in law here for brunch and were absolutely happy. The restaurant looks like it's situated in an old fighter bunker and it's right on an air field. The kids loved it because we sat near the window so we could watch the planes take off and land.

There are a few breakfast stations and there are cheap mimosas. There is also a customized bananas foster station and an omelette station. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.

The bill is going to be a little costly but the food and the experience was worth it. I'd recommend making reservations because they were very busy when we went on a Sunday morning.
