It was a perfect day and the course is in very good shape
STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUB!!
Tried to play this morning, but was informed I would have to "share a cart with someone!"
I was stunned. In talking to the Cashier, he said (and this is a direct quote)
"you can't catch COVID from a Cart!" I said "the world is being told to stay 6 feet away from other people and wear a mask and YOU want me to sit shoulder to shoulder with a complete stranger for 4 hours???" Arizona is COVID disease central, why would you demand this of your customers?
He didn't care, I asked for my money back which I did get and left.
For the price and the amazing desert views...The price is unmatched anywhere else.
Loved everything about this course. Kept great with some fun tricky shots. Loved that the cart could tell you about your distances
I had a good time here. Golf in the dessert was pretty cool.
Have played here a couple of times on the 18 hole course and 4 or 5 times on the futures (par3) course.
The futures course is fabulous if you like executive courses or only have an hour and twenty minutes for a quick round. It is in great shape and the holes do offer some variety for such a short track.
The regular 18 hole course is a lot of fun and very forgiving of poor shots. If you are a mid handicap or higher I think this course is right up your alley. You won't be punished for hitting balls offline on most of the holes other than having to hit out of the desert sand.
I have played the main course with a couple of high handicap friends twice now and no one has lost a ball. Hit poor shots yes, lost a ball no.
The price is about right, I wish it was about 10 dollars cheaper as it's just not quite as groomed as a 70 dollar course should be, but I wouldn't call it overpriced either. My only knock on the course is the sand traps don't seem to have enough sand in them, getting under the ball sometimes can be a challenge.
Pace of play has been right on both times I've played it.
In the middle of the mountains away form houses. Always kept in pretty good condition.
On 11-28-92 I got a hole in one on #13 158 yds interestingly part the ball entered the hole from the air no bounce.
One of the best values in the Phoenix area. My first time on this course and it did not disappoint.
The course was in very good condition. Fairways are in great shape and very green
Desert rough can be tough and this is no exception. Definitely will play this course again.
Course is in great shape for July, some greens are bumpy.
Great course to play. My 9 year old is taking lessons too. He s improving every session.
Fun golf course. I'm from flat flat Illinois, so I really enjoyed the terrain here. The driving range is nice and big as well.
I had a great first experience. Good amount of parking. Friendly shop, busy cafe but managed. The course was in perfect condition and had challenging holes. I loved that there wasn't a single house on the whole course which took some stress off. Can't wait to play again.
Great track with no houses around, few like that left in town!
They have 2 courses. We played the futures course, which was nine holes. The futures course is very short and they give you a little dolly for your clubs, no carts are allowed on this course. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful.
Very nice course. I only give them a 2 because of their 3rd party tee time registration company. I booked a tee time and was charged $8 registration fee. A few days later I was charged an additional $6 for no reason. When I inquired at the course I was told that I would have to dispute the charges with my cc company. I wonder how often this happens and how much money this company is making off of unsuspecting golfers. Very unethical and the 500 club should be taking some responsibility for this rather than saying that I need dispute the charges.
Very nice overseed job. Many many golfers. Shotgun round 4hrs 10minutes from tee 17B.
Awesome today... Wish the tee-boxes we're in a little better shape though.
First time playing here and really enjoyed the course. Great layout, greens a little bumpy but overall very good conditions.
Would like to see a nice IPA on tap!
Jeremy Knowles is incredibly rude and short with customers. I will not be returning until he is fired which is unfortunate because it is a nice golf course. Mr. Knowles needs to learn how to treat people with respect
I ve golfed the futures course many times with my wife and 8 year old. Great course, grounds are well maintained and the holes are fun. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. The 500 club course is even better! If you haven t golfed here you don t know what your missing
This was a great golf course. The views were gorgeous. The service at the clubhouse was ok, but better than some places. I would recommend this place! We played through the first nine and it took about an hour and a half. Good price too.
This golf course is beautiful and well-maintained. Golf carts worked just fine, no complaints there. A great golf course.
Pace of play was great! Course was in beautiful shape and the new lighting in the club house turned out good.would recommend this course to friends and family
This place is beautiful! Thanks Jeremy for a great time!
Great course, no houses.. great shape for September!
This course has a nice layout. It was worth the 65.00 bucks we payed. I would come back to play this one. This is not a golf course pretending to be a 150.00 golf course.I would rather play this golf course over Supersition springs for which we payed 100.00
Always a great time playing this course. It doesn't matter what time of year you play its green and well maintained. Twilight always gives a great view of the numerous coyotes on the course and makes you stay on your toes. One of my favorite in the valley.
Everyone loves this golf course and I grew up down the street from it. Sometimes I feel their winter rates are a little high for the caliber of course. Don't get me wrong the course is AMAZING and being super open, fun to play, and great overall leaves you wanting to come back, but $85 rounds is certainly the top end for a "non-luxury" course. The staff is great. The quality of the course is rock solid.
Awesome course, however there were no water coolers at any holes.
I can believe they charge me $27:50 for walk 9 holes first time play there
Been playing all around the valley this summer and was pretty excited to play this course with my wife. However for a "afternoon rate" of $29 per person I was hoping the greens would be nicer. We have been paying $30 or less total for the both us for afternoon rates at other courses that are just as pretty, but kept up a bit better. A very pretty course, but will continue playing courses with better greens.
Well taken care of course this course has everything love this place
Played a nice pace on the front, got to 10 they put a group of 3 walkers backed up the whole course too many good places to play this isn't one of them
Terrific course! Staff are friendly and easy to talk to. Course has some scenic views, and a nice amount of difficulty for myself to shoot in the 80s. Will be playing there again tmrw morning
Pretty decent little 9 hole course here for super cheap. It's one of the better ones I've visited out here. My dad and I enjoy the challenge a short 9 hole course offers after playing the bigger courses. Course does it's best with the weather out here but isn't always amazing.
Wonderful course..great for walking. Lots of wildlife.
Amazing!!! I can t believe they let me and my kid golf free.
We always love playing here with our kids! Their summer package for kids is awesome. The executive course is usually always in as good a shape as possible considering are climate. We also like Bob at the clubhouse!
Tee boxes and greens are usually in pretty good condition, and gps to the pin is nice. They need new carts though, they're getting pretty rickety.
They are making people share carts with strangers during this crisis. I told them I didn't feel comfortable riding with someone in my cart. I said don't you have to follow guidelines? They said they didn't have to! Carts are dirty the inside smells like a sewer problem...it is really bad! The only golf course I have played where safety means nothing to them! Nothing in the cups and people sitting at tables outside next to each other! Sadly I won't play until new ownership comes and fixes the place and where people take national safety concerns to heart!
First time playing this track, it was an excellent track and greens were fast and true. Fairways, rough and desert areas all played fairly. Course was in very good condition; the layout was interesting and challenging.
There were many coyotes on the course and as others have mentioned no houses on this course. The course was easy to find using GPS with ample parking available. No carts in the parking lot.
Love this course. Mostly flat desert course but wonderfully challenging greens and great scenery.
Most of the golf course is hard pan dirt. They are short on water, short on staff, and obviously short on money. This course may have once been great but it is now slipping into Oblivion.
This is a great place to play golf! It starts with the staff who are very friendly and very competent! The course is a lot of fun with a variety of holes and great views throughout! The course is well groomed and the grounds crew should be applauded! Food and drinks are available with a good variety; very tasty!
An added feature is The Futures Course which is a shorter layout featuring nine holes
that requires you to walk! They have a great
program for younger golfers and The Futures
is super for beginners!
Great track loved the layout, tough but fair had a great time will play there again
The most beautiful course there is in the valley. The fairways and greens are better than anywhere else and the peaceful surroundings are full of wildlife. Unmatched in quality and price. Staff is awesome and they have the most beautiful cart girls around. Worth the drive if you aren't in the area. 5 stars.
Very fun course. Greens weren't in the best of shape, but the rest of the course was great. Amazing desert layout with challenging tee shots, good second shots and plenty of hazards to make you wish you wouldn't have hit that errant shot.
Wonderful desert golf experience. No homes along the fairways. True desert tracks. Lots of wild life. Bring a camera.
Rude staff. Absoulutley horrid staff here Weather your calling, or in person they are always snooty and act like your disturbing them. For the futures course where people are looking at getting into golf you would think they would be more welcoming.
The positive news - the geography surrounding the course is beautiful. The course itself was just winter seeded, and in decent shape, but/however, the greens are fuzzy and slow.
A good friend scheduled our tee time on short notice, and I gladly accepted without checking customer reviews of the past six months.
- I was literally the only person wearing a mask at the time I checked in. The pro shop attendant and literally no one else in the clubhouse was concerned about this entire crazy pandemic thing.
- 500 Club ownership has evidently elected not to invest in additional carts required to provide socially-distanced rounds of golf.
After being informed that individual carts were unavailable, I had the option of requesting a refund or using a course-owned pull cart. I elected to walk and play a round with my friends. Additional punishment - the push cart was reminiscent of my 1950's Radio Flyer wagon. Basic and brutal.
I'd replay this course when COVID compliance is respected and additional carts are available.
we love this place. a real golf club - not a country club or a municipal. no houses on the course, great views and good layout. Staff are great!!!!!
Great golf course. A resort course with desert right up to the greens and fairways, very visually leading with the black lava right up to the very green fairways and greens. Good layout very challenging in a good way. When I want to splurge I enjoy it very much h. I would call it ecconimacal but not cheep.
Ill be back as soon as the bank account gets a little bigger.
Peace out.

Played golf @ the 500 Club and had a great time! The price is GREAT, the service is amazing, but the course was INCREDIBLE! Reminds me of a TPC Princess knockoff! Make sure to try this course the next time you are in the area!
Awesome golf course is designed in the Sonoran desert and no houses around the course It s clean fairways are green and good shape
Great public course! Even though it was cart path only (over seeding) it was still a pleasure to play here. The layout is nice, fairways wide enough for high handicappers like myself and the greens had some tough pin locations. All in all it was a great day and I'd definitely play here again.
It's a nice golf course. But management has their head in the sand. What kind of course closes their driving range at 4:30 PM when most of their clientele will be getting off of work?
This is a good quality golf course. Nothing overly difficult but will test both high and low handicaps.
Great People and really fun course. No houses to play through.
Great tee shots from elevated greens unique experience to say the least. Its more than a bargin for what you pay.
At a time where we need more kids golfing if we want to keep golf courses around, the 500 Club Futures Course wouldn t let a group of kids play due to dress code. I m 60 years old and we need to stop worrying about how the kids dress and focus on the fact that they are interested in spending money on golf. Wake up 500 Club. The year is 2018 not 1960
The course was in good shape but the rates were not a great value.
Good price and the coarse its always in great shape.
My buddies and I have been playing this course since it opened.......great course, great views, no homes around it, great staff, great rates..............absolutely love this course and would recommend highly.
Futures course was great for a short 9 hole afternoon for $12!
This course has always been in great shape!! It s worth the trip, but the staff should tell you before you book a time that they are overseeding, or anything else!! They didn t a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible
Love playing this course. One of my favorites in the northwest Valley. Beautiful views and the course rates are not terrible.
Take kids to lessons and the Future Course. Awesome for gradeschool kids and coach Shelia is the best 8)
I love this golf course great layout great staff always in great shape great great people that work here another wonderful day on the 500 club thank you again
Played in late January. Greens were firm, held shots and rolling great! I should play this track more often!
Great golf course always! Greens are always a solid 9 on a stimp. Great Arizona desert course!
This place has good prices and a good area, pretty quiet most of the time. Good food area and overall very good!
The golf course was beautiful. The pace of play was horrible . We spent half our time waiting between shots. The 4 walkers in front of us were so slow, we had 5 groups behind us waiting .. 10 to 15 minutes between every shot became very daunting
