Hotel Located close to the sea, 7 minutes walk and from the center of Salou. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel with links to Tarragona or Cambrils. There are many Russian-speaking and English-speaking guests. In the evening there is animation for adults and children. The downside is that in the evening there is a queue for dinner at the restaurant, you often have to wait for others to come out. Also in the buffet restaurant you can have lunch or dinner for any holidaymaker for 12 euros. The hotel bar is expensive, cocktails from 6 euros. Beer and other drinks in a limited range. The reception staff is responsive, they try to help and advise.
14/09/2018 Now relax in this hotel. Everything is great. Room gorgeous 180 'overview of the sea. Of course for the add. charge immediately zakazyvali.Privetlivy staff. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The choice is not very rich but very good. Last year there were 4 * is more like it.
Had a good holiday at this hotel. Facilities were clean and fairly modern. Hotel wanted a fair amount of money for simple things, evening meals though included in the cost of stay did not include ANY drinks. Soft drinks were expensive as were ice creams. Food was made well and kept fresh by constant replenishment. Choice of food was good but it was hard to make an actual meal out of the buffet. We had a lovely room looking over the sea, best part of our hotel stay. Wi-Fi functioned enough as expected in the 21st century but wasn't anything special. Pool was good with constant lifeguard coverage. Surrounding area of the pool gets viciously hot and burned my children's feet even for a couple of steps from lounger to pool. Beware the wrath of the pool bar manager if you dare to drip water in the bar area, admittedly the floor gets slippery so perhaps mats would solve this to everyone's better health. Overall a nice hotel perhaps I would compare with the competition when returning next time.
It is the second time that we have come as a group, we are more than 300 women of the evangelical Christian congregations, here they have treated us very well, the rooms clean and comfortable, friendly staff, all excellent.
Very good hotel if you buy a room with a sea view. The food is excellent, in the morning champagne. Cleaning without any complaints, cleanliness everywhere, except that the queues at the restaurant were sometimes strained. To the beautiful beach Llarga 5 minutes walk, evenings in the hotel animation, we watched it from the balcony. On C grade, to be honest It is better to go for a walk. There are a lot of Russians in the hotel, the staff itself also speaks and understands Russian. . Near the hotel, the Bus Plana stop can be easily reached in many regions. The location of the hotel is just super. The food and service is excellent. In general, I highly recommend.
From the first second we have been treated with a special affection. By the organization of the event as well as by the hotel. I want to thank the treatment we have received from the hotel staff. The human quality available is to be mentioned and highlighted, beyond the facilities. Both the waiter service and the dining room staff are true professionals; close, friendly and always with a smile. Without detracting from those who are not facing the public so that everything works correctly. I want to make special mention of the animation girls, dining room, ; how kindly they greeted us at the entrance of the dining room with an ear smile, despite our jokes and comments.
Nice hotel from the staff to the accommodation. Couldn't understand why glass and recycling collections were at the side of the hotel at 1am being extremely loud, but that's not the hotels' fault, just something to note.
Fatally the hotel and the parking is already crazy, you can be an hour and a quarter looking for where to park and I was desperate to leave the car at the entrance of Salou and 15 minutes walk from the hotel, because they publish you have a garage but only for 10% of the hotel's capacity just to not return and recommend.
The hotel very well ... the right buffet. We were disappointed with the receptionists ... the other nice staff and the entertainers very well. In summary for being a 3 star is highly recommended.
Fantastic hotel and brilliant location....so close to beaches, shops etc. Room were lovely! So clean and modern. We had fresh towels and bed linen everyday. Our room view was amazing overlooking the sea. Loved it! Hotel was amazing and great entertaiment every night! Food was great with plenty of variety. Hotel satff were so nice and were very helpful and friendly, honestly we couldn't fault this hotel one bit!! We had the best holiday. And are definitely returning to Playa Park next year! Wee mention has to go to Mikal the bar man who always had a smile and so friendly...xx
Perfect, super clean everything and renovated rooms. The staff is very nice, the situation is perfect if you want to rest at night and enjoy the beach during the day. We will repeat soon
The hotel is ok, staying half board you won't starve as there is a decent variety to eat at night times. The dining room is very busy at feeding time. The breakfast for me is a bit of a let down often the food is not hot. The hotel is at a top of a hill but the buses stop outside so not a major problem. The staff are great and work very hard, the rooms are are decent size for two people not sure how you would cope if you had kids in the same size room. I am sure they must have family rooms available. All the kids who are here all seem to be enjoying the entertainment. Which is always good, the pool area is not a bad size. Overall I would not stay here again but as the old saying goes you get what you paid for so give it a go and make up your own minds. But most of all remember you are on holiday and don't spend the time moaning about things enjoy your holiday, I am and the little things are nothing major.
Lovely hotel alot todo but the only down side is the food no good if u have young children as there is not alot for them and plus the life guard aint all that good either just sat on his mobile phone 95 % of the time but children entertainment was fab for the children ....
We were in October 2018 very very well, the staff is very nice, especially paula and alex, welcoming, the animation is nice, I recommend it very very well, we had a good holiday. To redo.
Very respectful of the rules, of behavior, with respect to the protections of the Covid. At the same time, without losing the attention of ALL members of the hotel
Everything is fine !!! but this is my opinion !!! Come, take a rest and see for yourself: the rest in Playa Park is worth it to come back here and more than once !!!
My experience is not good around the blue area for cars everywhere until Sunday this is a money out there are areas of waste and also paid but less and we complain habeces where we live We like to go on vacation but things in good condition and clean I apologize to anyone who knows badly but it is my opinion people with few possibilities thanks
Pool is amzing and rooms are clean and quiet and very comfortable beds with a desent tv with lots of channels been here before and im going to it now again i recomend this hotel
This hotel is fantastic. We are currently staying here with our granddaughter for a two weeks stay. We paid extra for a sea view and it was well worth it. The room is a bit tiny for three people but it's very modern and the idea of a walk in shower as opposed to a bath is great. We have got a big terrace with panoramic views of the sea and the bay. The food is delicious, plentiful with numerous choices. The entire staff work their socks off and are polite, helpful and professional. There is entertainment every evening, some of it brilliant and some mediocre. The prices for a hotel are quite reasonable. Be aware when visiting the beach playa llarga, sunbeds that aren't even in the best condition will set you back at 20 euros per day and the beach bar is serving food and drink at extortionate prices. Buy a brolly and food and drink before you go there. We aren't hotel people but if we came here with young children again we would definitely stay here Must also mention our hard working maid, told her not to clean our room every day but when she did it was spotless.
Everyday was chicken and chips so didn't have one day of anything not meat. One day chicken turned out to be pink. And it's was the whole chicken was pink. No locks on the bathroom. Pool is freezing cold. Hardly could swim in it
Waiting for meals , reps very unhelpful and the food was substandard..WiFi was terrible when it was available. T.v.channels restricted to 3 English speaking. Rooms were small but bathroom was a good size , and watch out for taxi companies over charging.
Rooms are basic. Not very well ventilated. The breakfast is ok - has some veriaty but not the best quality. The hotel is big - has a lot of guests, and lots of children - so it's crowded and noisy... And we were off season...
We stayed here for 10nights. The room was clean. Sheets was changed every other day. No extra pillows, the beds was very hard for our liking. The pool was freezing.
The bar down the stair was owned separately to the the hotel, I would advice not going for food in it, unless you like microwaved food. Good selection of known drinks and cocktails/mocktails.
We stayed half board so got our breakfast and dinner, but if you were heading out for dinner could change it for lunch instead. Buffet selection every morning an evening, some themed nights. Food wasn't great, my son eat cheese and ham cubes unless we went out. I didn't eat a lot either. There was no order kept to lines, people just pushed in front of you. I was selecting food one evening an was pushed out of the way by a member of kitchen staff, I nearly dropped my plate and the contents (I was 4 months pregnant).
Some of the reception staff didn't understand English very well either.
I really liked the hotel. Starting from being quickly populated and of course, a service! We celebrated a birthday, the staff brought candles and champagne to the room and more champagne at dinner! The rooms are excellent, plasma, balcony, cleanliness wi-fi works in the rooms. Great food! Smoothies every day for breakfast, unrealistically delicious donuts. Of the fruits here are pineapples, peaches, melons, watermelons, pears, apples, bananas and some tropical fruit. The dishes are very tasty and every day new. There was even a themed Spanish evening, where there was jamon, shrimp, mussels, Gazpacho, etc. An excellent hotel, I recommend it to everyone
Love this place, come every year, rooms are basic but great as there there to sleep in, so much verity of food including puddings and the staff are so lovely, they have different entertainment every night nd just really enjoyable :)
I didn't really have a problem with the hotel at all. We had a terrace room with a sea view which was gorgeous in the September time, especially seeing the sunsets. The two hotels are very close together and all together make up 3 pools (Hotel I is better for sun so i recommend walking across the pool front and through the hotel to get there). Staff were super friendly despite the lack of English they really put the effort in to communicate with you. The drinks were very nice (although the alcohol is very strong for me and so they made a watered down drink for me to drink.) They helped me learn Spanish and the younger staff gave advice on where to go on my week there. Would rebook here.
The food on the other hand mostly was fish or seafood most nights and so if your vegetarian or vegan your only option really is pasta or salad.. Im not vegetarian but i can imagine the struggle. The evening shows were amazing and the Karaoke nights were the most eventful among the younger people. Highly recommend taking part in the day time activities as they are active and fun for all ages. The pool bar in Hotel 1 is always closed though and Im not sure why. It's sad because the pool seats are actually rather comfy.
