Blanquette absolutely delicious. Service cold, even downright unpleasant if you come across the wrong server. Attention, restaurant absolutely overpriced - which sells to American tourists the dream of "French cuisine" that they come to Paris. (If you do not like Piaf or Brel, hang in there.) Be warned.

We stopped in at the recommendation of friends... And our meal was out of this world. We shared the escargot, pate terrine, and Chez Monsieur veal stew with a bottle of Pinot Nior. The veal stew is a dish of legends... Lol. You will need more bread for the sauce alone. Oh - I almost forgot - the cured sausage they bring out before the meal is amazing.

Absolutely horrible service. The servers were extremely rude and unhygienic. One of them dropped radishes that come with bread and picked them up and put them right back in the bowl and served it as nothing happened. When I asked to get it replaced after explaining the situation, there were no apologies. They didn't take our coat while they took coats of other French customers, and they forgot my request to get more bread. For the money I am paying, this kind of service is unacceptable. And they charge 8 euros for water.

I didn't have any Reservations made but the restaurant still accommodated me by the bar .... I order onion soup and the pheasant hen... While pricey ... It was worth it. The hen was cooked to perfection... Soft and tender while the soup... Rich in taste and by far the best onion soup...

Impeccable experience, great time spent in this restaurant with impeccable reception. Our dishes were succulent, quick, good wine advice. The sole was exquisite, cooked to perfection. I ordered gourmet hot chocolate instead of gourmet coffee. He was delicious. The toilets are spotless (this also reflects the hygiene of the establishment!). Go there with your eyes closed.

I hope I could give it more stars if I could! And I was so lucky that Alexandra helped me when I found I left my iPhone at the restaurant. To the owner, Alex is really a gem at your restaurant, not only he is professional at what he does, he is kind and helpful and that's what really keep the customers returning !!

Found this place by total accident but turned out to be a total gem. Ordered the fillet and was perfectly done, Flottante as dessert was the lightest and smoothest yet to be tasted - not many places do tradition well these days! Very attentive service as well. So good.

It was about three years ago I stumbled upon this place. I was a backpack traveler in a quite comfy clothes yet, they treated me like I was their VIP. And their blaquette de veau and wine were so good. How I wish I remember the manager and the waitress who served me. They made my day truly happy and unforgettable.

My husband and I visited Chez Monsieur and ordered basically everything on the menu. It could have been the ambiance, but this was one of the few meals that I ll remember for years to come. Everything was prepared perfectly and with a level of care that I don t see any most establishments. I ll make a point to return while visiting France in the future.

The concierge from Maison Astor Paris, Curio Collection by Hilton booked our reservation for party of 6 . As we walked in, we were greeted with the " what are you doing here look ". We gave her the confirmation letter and she said the concierge did not confirm.( lie) Then she proceeded like she was doing us a favor. Negative! Something came over me so fast because of her nasty attitude ... I'll take this party of 6 somewhere else. We did !!!! I read the previous reviews and they were right. Rude. Hostess. This restraunte is no PER SE of New York. DON'T GO!!! RUDE

We came for dinner based on good Google reviews and we were not disappointed. The onion soup was wonderful as well as the beef tenderloin with pepper sauce. The service was attentive and friendly. This restaurant is just around the corner from Laduree and boutique designer shops. Wine list has a good selection of inexpensive and vintage wines. I would come back here for sure.

Ok food, Cold service Just had lunch. Food are fine although the onion soup is a bit too salty, but the rest are ok. The service, on the other hand, is way below the standard. Staffs are cold and inattentive.

Very kindly they accommodated us in a table even though they had no room and had not booked. All you have brought us was good, served with kindness and traditional, elegant surroundings. We spent 120 euros for two for a fantastic pumpkin soup, perfect kidney, a steak with two glasses of red wine and coffee.

Royal Madeleine does French classics such as Blanquette de veau, crepe suzettes with verve and refinement. I had the best steak in Paris here. And a superb wine list as you would expect from the sister restaurant to Les Climats. Great place for lunch or dinner on the weekends especially in nice weather on the terrace. Elodie Colin who runs the restaurant speaks impeccable English and her wine knowledge is second to none.
