Fantastic dining experience, friendly ans helpful staff, amazing foie gras dish, highly recommend
Excellent restaurant that keeps the French style without exaggeration
excellent dining atmosphere and outstanding service
Blanquette absolutely delicious. Service cold, even downright unpleasant if you come across the wrong server. Attention, restaurant absolutely overpriced - which sells to American tourists the dream of "French cuisine" that they come to Paris. (If you do not like Piaf or Brel, hang in there.) Be warned.
Was very disappointing! Appetizer was good, but main course and coffee inter terrestrial. And that at madness prices! Just outrageous and rip-off. Pity!
Very good place with well chosen and good quality food. Nice wine list.
We stopped in at the recommendation of friends... And our meal was out of this world. We shared the escargot, pate terrine, and Chez Monsieur veal stew with a bottle of Pinot Nior. The veal stew is a dish of legends... Lol. You will need more bread for the sauce alone. Oh - I almost forgot - the cured sausage they bring out before the meal is amazing.
Absolutely horrible service. The servers were extremely rude and unhygienic. One of them dropped radishes that come with bread and picked them up and put them right back in the bowl and served it as nothing happened. When I asked to get it replaced after explaining the situation, there were no apologies. They didn't take our coat while they took coats of other French customers, and they forgot my request to get more bread. For the money I am paying, this kind of service is unacceptable. And they charge 8 euros for water.
This was our second visit back to Chez Monsieur. And it was just as awesome as we remembered it. Get everything they recommend. It was amazing. I dream of the Veal Stew. Spectacular! So tender and creamy and unexpected.
I didn't have any Reservations made but the restaurant still accommodated me by the bar .... I order onion soup and the pheasant hen... While pricey ... It was worth it. The hen was cooked to perfection... Soft and tender while the soup... Rich in taste and by far the best onion soup...
Super brewery A real treat
Traditional French food, good service, and good environment, it is recommended to eat here!
The blanquette is extraordinary and the staff very pleasant
Very good Parisian restaurant, 4 people without wine, with beers for 50. Exquisite braised beef and escargotts. First class service, intimate place, very appropriate background music
Impeccable experience, great time spent in this restaurant with impeccable reception. Our dishes were succulent, quick, good wine advice. The sole was exquisite, cooked to perfection. I ordered gourmet hot chocolate instead of gourmet coffee. He was delicious. The toilets are spotless (this also reflects the hygiene of the establishment!). Go there with your eyes closed.
Very friendly attentive service and some of the best food I've had in paris. We had the veal stew, and it was beyond delicious.
Brasserie a little chic, especially for regulars, with the corresponding service. Good dishes but a little expensive.
I have only been there once, the environment is very good, and the food and service on the day of the meal is very satisfactory.
The calf stew is too tough. I brought less meat for the broth ... The price is also dirty expensive. I do not think this is really it.
Great atmosphere, food and desserts very good, I recommend a lot and great brunch on weekends
La blanquette de veau...yummy...the service, the Burgundy selection...a truly great Parisian restaurant with style!!
Everything was good, the quality of the food was great, I liked the snails.
I hope I could give it more stars if I could! And I was so lucky that Alexandra helped me when I found I left my iPhone at the restaurant. To the owner, Alex is really a gem at your restaurant, not only he is professional at what he does, he is kind and helpful and that's what really keep the customers returning !!
The staff are so friendly and comfortable The food is so delicious. It's a French family specialty, so it's not expensive, but it's a lot of food.
The "business bistro" typical of central districts, ideal for a somewhat exceptional lunch with colleagues. Saint Aubin 1er cru 2017 Lamy excellent.
Excellent food and service from the appetizer to deserts! It's a hidden gem in Paris.
High-end bistro very quali, worthy representative of our know-how cooking / service / tradition
Had a business meeting here and throroughly liked the welcome...staff are always smiling and the food was brilliant!
Total success for this upscale brasserie "old fashioned". Delicious blanquette and good advice on wines. Impeccable service.
I had escargot, carpaccio, stew and steak. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were so friendly. Thanks to you in Paris
Found this place by total accident but turned out to be a total gem. Ordered the fillet and was perfectly done, Flottante as dessert was the lightest and smoothest yet to be tasted - not many places do tradition well these days! Very attentive service as well. So good.
Very good. The food as good as the service. Thanks Henry.
Superb place. The whole world should go there, just to taste the blanquette.
Microwave cooking galore...everybody got about the same slice of meat be it sirloin or t-bone steak....an smoking allowed everywhere.... yuk
Veal stew great and delishious escargot and foie gras one of the best meals in France and decent size menu many restaurants in summer have very limited options and pre fix but this menu had many options and you can order alacart
excellent place. deserves its michelin star. brilliant food in small portions, exceptional staff. very attentive. also great wines.
Incredible restaurant. Their veal stew was exceptional (and American-sized portions to boot!) Our waiter was a young gentleman who was extremely patient and had a great sense of humour. Service and food made for a wonderful evening.
The vanilla ice cream of profiteroles is disappointing
Impeccable service and professional, incredible dishes top stew blanquette and crepe suzette too. Thank you for the digestive offered, we will return
Typical french bistrot in their dishes and decor. The veal is very good but service is very slow.
A very nice retro place with a bistro decor like old fashioned! A very friendly welcome, very good dishes with excellent quality products between local cuisine and sought after dishes, to go there without hesitation!
Very welcoming and friendly service. The ambiance is quiet and classy. The food was delicious, especially the veal stew. We did not have a reservation but were able to sit at the bar. It was delightful.
Some Parisian friends recommended it to us and we were really very satisfied, excellent service and all very good.
Very nice place with great food. It has a pleasant balance between modern and traditional flavours, and the personel is very helpfull
June 11, 2016 - I first came. I celebrated my wife's day. An excellent restaurant. Very good food. Quality services.
Very fine example of well-made traditional Parisian bistronomy. Fine products, quality cuisine, classy service, everything is there, the bill too!
It was about three years ago I stumbled upon this place. I was a backpack traveler in a quite comfy clothes yet, they treated me like I was their VIP. And their blaquette de veau and wine were so good. How I wish I remember the manager and the waitress who served me. They made my day truly happy and unforgettable.
I d say hit or miss. Some things very good, some average, we had a large party, so we tasted a lot. Good wine, decent deserts. Overall nice experience, but not exceptional.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and very authentic. Staff were super friendly. Had my 6 year old with us and they were very sweet to her - highly recommend trying it
The best veal stew, without discussion. Very pleasant restaurant, service always impeccable.
One of the best culinary experience in Paris for bistro kitchen you must try their specialty la blanquette veal stew served in copper casserole and don t miss their profiteroles for dessert. Very nice culinary experience, impeccable service. Their specialty, Blanquette, serve in a copper casserole dish! Not to mention their profiteroles ... A must!
Food was quite bland - not enough seasoning. Service was just ok - not attentive enough. A shame, considering the high recommendations.
Excellent typical Parisian brasserie. Serves impeccable.produits of first choice
My husband and I visited Chez Monsieur and ordered basically everything on the menu. It could have been the ambiance, but this was one of the few meals that I ll remember for years to come. Everything was prepared perfectly and with a level of care that I don t see any most establishments. I ll make a point to return while visiting France in the future.
Amazing night, food and staff. Veal was incredible. Tremendous wine list. GREAT service.
The concierge from Maison Astor Paris, Curio Collection by Hilton booked our reservation for party of 6 . As we walked in, we were greeted with the " what are you doing here look ". We gave her the confirmation letter and she said the concierge did not confirm.( lie) Then she proceeded like she was doing us a favor. Negative! Something came over me so fast because of her nasty attitude ... I'll take this party of 6 somewhere else. We did !!!! I read the previous reviews and they were right. Rude. Hostess. This restraunte is no PER SE of New York. DON'T GO!!! RUDE
Lovely place. Great for a couple or small group. The food was very good. I was on a business trip with my colleague but didn't feel out of place. Staff although very busy were attentive.
We came for dinner based on good Google reviews and we were not disappointed. The onion soup was wonderful as well as the beef tenderloin with pepper sauce. The service was attentive and friendly. This restaurant is just around the corner from Laduree and boutique designer shops. Wine list has a good selection of inexpensive and vintage wines. I would come back here for sure.
Quartier Madeleine, A bistro with an elegant decor where you meet up with family, friends or for business lunches. The welcome is warm and fine gourmets will appreciate the fine cuisine and traditional dishes
Asked the concierge for their personal go to neighborhood lunch spot. Simply wonderful! Food, ambiance, service, wine list were all spectacular and unpretentious.
Fine French food, the conditions try hard, totally overpriced.
Ok food, Cold service Just had lunch. Food are fine although the onion soup is a bit too salty, but the rest are ok. The service, on the other hand, is way below the standard. Staffs are cold and inattentive.
Very kindly they accommodated us in a table even though they had no room and had not booked. All you have brought us was good, served with kindness and traditional, elegant surroundings. We spent 120 euros for two for a fantastic pumpkin soup, perfect kidney, a steak with two glasses of red wine and coffee.
Authentic tourist spot, friendly and efficient service, high quality one of the best sole ever eaten, not cheap in line with other places like that, escargot made as god commands and is not granted.
From the appetizer to dessert, the food kept getting better and better. Everything from preparation to presentation went above and beyond. The veal stew is a must try. It goes down as one of my top three meals of all time.
I love this small place so much, been here every time i visit Paris. My favourite dish is scallop risotto. Great selection of wine choices. Every dish i taste seem very good.
Friendly welcome in a typical setting for gourmet cuisine. The blanquette is particularly excellent. Nice wine list.
Great food and service, the ham in chiffonade with salted butter is particularly impressive.
Royal Madeleine does French classics such as Blanquette de veau, crepe suzettes with verve and refinement. I had the best steak in Paris here. And a superb wine list as you would expect from the sister restaurant to Les Climats. Great place for lunch or dinner on the weekends especially in nice weather on the terrace. Elodie Colin who runs the restaurant speaks impeccable English and her wine knowledge is second to none.
