The food isn t good. Nowhere near the price. I was very disappointed and I was hoping the casino make my decision better. But they don t pay out much of you win. You lose a lot more faster. Maybe it like that because the oilfield in the area
Great place lots of activities to do but white people get treated rudely
Nice place however one of the black security guys was not nice with us. Terrible customer service.
Great casino and hotel
Friendly staff
Ive been to many casinos inmy lifetime and this is the only bs place that knocks ur tiers back.
Love that there is a smoking section of the casino and the rest of it is non-smoking. Just wish there was a few more slot machine options!
Super thin hotel walls, could hear everyone and everything. Staff was nice for the most part
Nice entertainment for the area. Getting better all the time. Chris- casino host =A++++
Open 24 hours not very crowded in the mornings and I always seem to win.
The location of the casino isnt the best, it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. I had a burger and fries from the snack bar and it was mediocre. I was there for a while and I only seen one lady walking around asking if anyone wants drinks. Not the best casino I've ever been too but its decent.
Comfortable place to get rid of your extra cash. The slots start loose then get real tight.
Love this place, you win some you lose some, clean casino, make sure you get gas before and while your there, very limited on the road to see a gas station, there always something going on, concerts, giveaways.
My family and I live in central North Dakota and we stay at the Casino for a get away from time to time. The casino and restaurant have greatly improved over the last few years but the lodging is still struggling.
The hotel has improved the beds, carpet, and the hallways are now well kept. We had dinner last night and my wife and I spent time at the casino. At 10:30pm we were startled by very aggressive knocking at the door. I was shocked and after I decided to answer the door I found three men in the hallway stating they were maintenance.
The three men had no hotel credentials or uniforms, only a small receipt they said was a work order to fix a head board. I asked them why they were sent to the room at 10:30pm and the lead person said "I work to 1:00am and I'll get things done that day shift doesn't ".
I asked the three men if they saw the do not disturb sign on the door and they stated that it didn't matter. None of the three men had tools, parts to fix the headboard, or anything resembling maintenance. The room did have a damaged headboard but we did not ask for it to be fixed.
We tried to call the front desk and no one answered. My wife had to call the land line to talk to a employee. They apologized and said they would inform the manager.
This response is not acceptable and strange men out of uniform banging on doors without notice from the front desk is disturbing. I manage a energy related company in area and I have referred people to 4 bears in the past. Due to the lack of follow up, unprofessional business practices, the front desk being MIA, and the unsafe feeling I now have going to 4 bears I will be letting everyone I know to avoid the business.
To 4 bears management,
My rating may not matter to you but this not the first time you have had problems at the hotel. The local people I work with have stated they would not reccomend visitors to stay at the hotel. The word needs to get out that you have not applied your best effort to make people welcome and safe.
We went to 4 bears to pickup some friends who had drank too much at the Dwight yokem concert. The drinks were about $5 a piece at the casino bar. Slots took all my money but we got everyone home safe.
I went to casino to have breakfast and not open and they wonder why they don't have no business there no consistency that would never happen in Las Vegas
Great place. Friendly people, clean rooms. Casino payout above all others.
The habitatcion was noticeable that it was old and needs an upgrade
Not sure why so many negative review? I've been here for two days now and the food, service, beds and casino are awesome! The lunch buffet is very reasonable at 13
Average casino experience. They have the standard member perks like senior day and double points day.
They lack complimentary drinks for players as many other casinos offer for active players.
They do not provide electric car charging, but they do have about a dozen 20amp 120v plugs between the wings of the hotel that can be used.
Security and staff seem better trained and more helpful then they have been in the past.
Thanks for the reply, I've requested electric car charging twice inside the casino at the security office twice in the last year and was met with indifference. I await the updates!
Excellent visit machines paid me well and the cleanliness of the gaming floor was superb...keep up the great work
always a great time, different experience each time
Clean, fun, not smoky but does have a smoking area. You have to pay for sodas while you play, but it's only $1 for a large cup. I enjoyed it there!
Normally clean, staff can be rude at times but overall a great casino/bar in the middle of the oil patch
Had a holiday party there food was cold the staff was terrible. We spent a lot of money. Order 12oz prime rib look like roast beef like 3 oz pathetic place never go back again. Very dirty and think it had bed bugs.
I stopped in for dinner. There food was good. Had a steak dinner, was cooked to my liking. Currently parts of the casino are under construction, can't wait to see how it turns out. Would definitely recommend to others.
The casino is nice and clean but the employees who work at night are so rude. From the security guard right on down the line. Only had one nice employee who acted like he cared.
Nice casino, good variety of gaming machines, good restaurant and clean rooms.
The room had stains all over the bedding. It was clear that it had not been restocked. The food was overpriced and overcooked. The "heated" pool was not heated as described. The hot tub was down. The sauna was malfunctioning. The location is beautiful off of the bank of a lake. The surroundings made up for some of the issues. This is a non smoking hotel with a tiny smoking lounge in the casino.
Good show rooms were clean had a great experience, excellent service !!
Went to Dustin Lynch concert and enjoyed the casino
Had dinner at the Bison Room. Excellent food and service was amazing
Ate at the buffet for lunch. Not bad, a little lacking on variety. The casino itself is mostly machine with next to no real tables.
Always friendly. Always clean. It sits on the lake and they have great concerts and comedy performers, or just nice to come down for a date nice.
Regarding the Bison Room in 4 Bears...
Do not eat here!!! This is why. We made a reservation thinking that we would need one since it was Saturday during dinner time, in a well known casino, and they say upscale/fine dining. We show up and there is one table sat in the entire place and nobody coming/going, or even waiting, and no reservations on the sheet, other than us. That is a bad sign. When seeing what the menu prices were at, and higher than any fine dining place. Example $79 for a filet and lobster tail, $30+ for a salad. I asked the waitress where the meat is from, thinking it was Kobe, or at least Wagyu. She didn't know and got the Manager. After waiting 15 mins for him (in a dead place) with one other table of 3, and one sat well after us. He finally showed up. I asked the same question. Where is the meat from (lobster/steaks). He said the lobster was from "Maryland" and the steak is "Angus". He then said "you can't get "Angus" anywhere". Bad sign #2- it's an American breed sold at any grocery store across the country. Mind you it's North Dakota. You pass Angus cows on any road.
Something was obviously fishy at this time. Being hungry, we decided to go to the buffet right next store. They shared the same kitchen. $22 bucks and they had "Angus" steaks. The kicker was, as we were getting food. We saw the same people from The Bison, behind the buffet line pulling food from the buffet. They were pulling food and putting it on a plate that was exactly what was on the Bison menu. Do not go here!!! I know food and own a restraunt. They are using the same buffet food, and serving it as a "fine dining" place. It was observed. Why would a person from the other place scoop only food that is on the menu at the other place. Fraudulent practices!!! We then got charged $25 for a sirloin skewer and $25 for 1 glass of house wine. I have the receipt.
The casino was recently rennovated and it looks reallu good. There is a non-smoking section and a smoking slot parlor (if you ask me the better machines are in the smoking section). Slots pay out pretty good, I mean it's a casino the odds are always against you. Sometimes you win big and sometimes you go home with nothing. I haven't seen the rooms but they looked good online. The buffet is spectacular, much better quality than you'd expect from an all-you-can eat buffet, there are many healthy options avaliable. As with most casinos there is free coffee and soda for players, and a club for the machines. If you sign up, you get $10 to spend at the machines. Overall, I always reccomend this casino and hope to review other aspects of it in the future.
I travel with a band, and unfortunately end up in a lot of casinos across the country. This is probably the worst one i've seen in the last ten years. The property is filthy, the staff is grossly inexperienced. 1. The gym is in the boiler room. Work out equipment is next to hot water heaters. 2. Hotel rooms are filthy, towels are all marked with a black sharpie to keep you from stealing them (who would want to?). 3. The buffet... first the lunch buffet is 19.95 for an adult and 17.95 for a senior. I had coupons but was shocked to see a group of ladies who could have been my grandmothers all shell out 17.95 each. The food in the buffet was terrible. wilted lettuce in the salad bar, over cooked food, over seasoned and sauced. A friend is a vegetarian, he could only have a plate of pasta with marinara. everything else included meat of some sort. Two members of our crew got food poisoning.
I'm sure North Dakota is lovely, but this place isn't. Do yourself a favor and keep driving.
Love it very much it is a place we the parents to go and have fun after work.
It was a nice place for my wife and me to meet up for the weekend. Food is good, but a bit on the expensive side. We don't like that breakfast buffet was over at 10:15, as my wife is Catholic, and can't eat before Mass, and by the time we got back to the hotel, they had shut down the breakfast buffet. I think Sunday breakfast buffet should be kept up later in the morning. There is also a way to transition from breakfast buffet into lunch buffet without closing down the restaurant. This should be done on Sunday. We also needed laundry facilities, and they don't have this. It would be good to remodel one room into a small laundromat. Or, if they add on again, then very seriously consider including a small laundromat. Otherwise, this is a better than adequate place to stay for the weekend.
Great selection of food. Cooks at buffet available for made to order selections. Staff is friendly.
A nice facility with friendly staff. I didn't gamble, but found the lunch buffet to be quite enjoyable.
Good place to blow off steam and maybe win some money
Relaxing atmosphere, games are a little tight, but they have great bare knuckle fights
Great small town casino located at the end of New Town ND. Slots, table games, bars, restaurants, and many events.
I only went to gamble, it was mostly clean and we had fun. A bunch of machines weren't working though which was annoying but it is what it is.
Employees can not keep track of your bets...i was ripped off several times & when I argued there was no fixing the situation so I had to take my money and leave the table. My husband also had a couple bets lost from the distracted dealers. However, they were nice, but the rest of customer service in the hotel was severely lacking. Other reviews lead me to not stay the night as there are several reports...for many months of BED BUGS, so I decided to skip that situation. Only recommend if going out for a night & watch your bets!
