I definetely recommend 2nd MD! Great customer service. Before 2nd MD, I was scheduled for surgery with my intial oncologist. Then the doctor 2nd. MD assigned to review my case and give me a second opinion; turned out to be my surgeon at the end. I am grateful!

Was the Best experience yet. I did not think I would find specialists better than my Mayo Clinic team, but Dr. Blitshteyn is excellent, compassionate and knowledgeable!

I have used 2nd MD part of our company Insurance. Very systematic intake mechanism, Care team Stacy, Nurse Amanda. They are very great to work with. They did excellent communication and support. The post doctor consultation follow up is also great !!!

WOW!!! What an OUTSTANDING Service with an amazing team of professionals who really care. My consultation with the specialist/Dr. was EXCELLENT and VERY enlightening. The Dr. listened and shared his findings and recommendations since he had a chance to review all of my medical records that the RN's gathered from previous medical visits. I will most definitely seek their knowledge and expertise again. I am so grateful for their services. Again, Thank you all.
UPDATE: I did receive a call back from the nurse manager. However, she was even more inept and unwilling to help then Sandy the first nurse that I spoke to. Not only did she call me when it was most convenient for her, she gave me even more of the run around about how it was my fault that I perceived the service to be something else. An utter and complete waste of time.
2nd MD is a complete waste of time. As a pharmacist, I m asked for 2nd opinions all the time about medication regimens and unfamiliar diagnoses. While I might not always have the information needed all the time, I always listen and offering counseling based on professional clinical judgment. Sandra the nurse assigned to me, gave me absolutely nothing but the run around. She was hesitant in taking my case and was also actively discouraging me from proceeding with the service as if I was a waste of their time. I wouldn t even bother with it and would think seriously instead about concierge medicine.
10/10 service from the initial request for a second opinion all the way through the official consultation. The nurse assigned to your case (mine was Lexi) is incredibly consistent with keeping you updated on the process of retrieving existing records and scans from previous doctor(s). They truly dig into what has already been found and do what they can to think of alternative explanations and treatments that may have been missed.
At first, I was impressed with timeliness of nurse coordinator s response and actions. Completely disappointed after hearing that the doctor their expert suggested I go to in a closer proximity to me, doesn t fit their "criteria. Who did they suggest? 2 specialists in Las Vegas, NV. 500 miles from my house. Further, when I received their summary recommendation for the 2 doctors in Las Vegas, there was NO mention of success rates for the specific surgery I'm contemplating nor any numbers of specific surgeries they have performed. Certainly makes me wonder, besides monetary interests, what their "criteria" really is. 2nd MD determined there were no surgeons they could recommend in Reno, NV, the requested mileage radius. Huge waste of time.
I am so happy I have 2nd looking out for me. The service the Melissa Pisarek and Jazmin Wright has provided has been amazing. The doctors that they have researched for me are the beat of the best! I have a telemedicine appointment with a doctor from Stanford who actually teaches other doctors to do the surgery. These ladies have changed my life on how to look into physicians and to make sure I know exactly what to expect in a physician.
I was happy to have used the service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The nurse was great in leading me though the process and letting me know what to expect. She gave me accurate timline information. The specialist was very knowledgeable and patient. She made sure all of my questions were answered.
The specialist was very knowledgeable. They provided me a new prospective on how to manage my issue. The consultation gave me reassurance that I was doing the right thing.
