2004 Homestead Job Corps Center Review

I'm going there sometime next month I can't wait already know what I want to do there

I graduated class 1997 in Albuquerque, got my GED, CA and a great experience. My daughter drop out in 10 grade and she started few weeks ago, she's very excited, her future has better vision.

I ve got my high school diploma and trade from here and learned a valuable lesson also very good school

I received my GED and an Accounting Clerk Certificate from Miami Job Corps about 12 years ago, which then seemed unfeasible after dropping out of high school 2 month into 9th grade, barely spoke English, coming out of foster care, victim of domestic violence, a single mother of 4, dead end job, struggling on welfare, a stereotypical young black woman with no future prospect. I had almost given up hope in making anything out of my life, nevertheless in becoming successful until I registered in Miami Job Corps. Needless to say, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I ve made in my life. After graduating, they helped me register with the Associate In science Paralegal studies at Miami Dade College and this month I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor in International Relations. Before Job corps, I didn t think it would be possible for me to go to college specially when I was completing their application and was embarrassed to put 8th grade as the last grade completed. They ve gave me the guidance and confidence I needed to succeed and now my life is completely the opposite from then. I truly feel that anything is possible even grad or law school! They thought me that the glass is not half full nor half empty, but refillable with whatever I want if I m determine. Thank you Job Corps!!!!!

Going to this center in about 2 weeks and I'm ready to start a new life here
